The hotel does require some updating - the earlier posts about the elevators being in sad shape are certainly true. My daughter said she detected the odd scent in the hallways that others have mentioned. My nose must not be that sensitive, because I did not. The beds were comfortable, but short! I'm a little over 6', and I felt like my legs hung a foot past the end of the bed. The staff at the hotel are pleasant and accomodating, but we received some bad information regarding how long the brunch buffet would be open - it closed at 11:00 rather than the 1:00 PM time we'd been told. Overall the hotel was a great value based on the rate I got at hotels.com. Given the same price, I would likely stay there again.

This was a great value for the money. The hotel was clean and there was no evidence of musty smell that previous posts mentioned. We found the hotel amenities to be very nice including the exercise room and pool. The hotel could be a little better maintained and looked a little worn but these were minor concerns considering the value. Overall we were quite happy.

The location was great, surrounding neighbor-hood was great--but I was a bit disappointed in the hotel. The room was o.k., but quite small. There were no vending machines on my floor, and I really did not want to go to the overpriced lobby restaurant for a soft drink! The little 'sundries store' adjacent to the front desk was truly a rip-off! Fortunately, I was able to shop on day 2, and purchase some drinks and snacks for my daughter and myself. All employees, though, were outstanding. Chances are that I will stay here again, as my daughter has aspirations of attending the US Naval Academy.

The Annapolis Sheraton is very nice but, for an out-of-towner, hard to get to. Not their fault, but the highway exits and directions are quite confusing, even with GPS. Apparently they are used to that since a very nice man talked me through finding it. Seemed to be a very "conferency" hotel and all went well for us except, BE WARNED, they charge an extra $50 for a dog. I had no idea. Yep, five, zero. Yikes! Also no breakfast or snacky items at all (but that's Annapolis for you).

I was traveling with me pet, so my options in the area were limited, as most do not permit four legged friends. The Sheraton did, so long as I plopped down an extra "pet fee". The hotel was nice and in a safe area. The pet floor was clearly by a dog or two who was not total housebroken according to my keen sense of smell upon departing the elevator. However, the rooms were clean and if I were staying again in the area with my pet, I would stay here again. As a bonus, I mistakenly left a personal item in the room that I did not remember until a week later. I called and that are securing it until my next trip down. A very nice staff employed at this hotel.

I was shocked that this hotel was a Sheraton. The Lobby and common area were immaculate, but the guest room did not meet up to my expectations. First of all, as we were trying to go up to our room, the elevator refused to work. Luckily they have two, so we took the other one up. For a while though, we thought we were going to be stuck in the hot unventilated elevator. As we entered our room, we were slapped in the face with a musty odor, due to the fact that they turned off the AC. Once we got the ac going, the smell went away. The decor was nice, but had some stains on the bed covers. The bathroom was gross. There was black mold all in the grouts of the tub area and rust around the heat lamp. The worse part was that there wasn't any ventilation/exhaust in the bathroom. 4 people in the room and all needing to use the toilet was not fun because of the ventilation situation- if you know what I mean. We were not in our room for much of our stay, but when we got back we were met with a very humid/ tropical rain forest feeling in the room. As long as we kept the AC below 64 degrees the humidity went away. We were literally freezing our toes off. If you are trying to save money and want a bed to sleep in, I would recommend this hotel. If you are in need of feeling pampered (As Shereton should be), I would not come close to this hotel.

I would have rather stayed in downtown Annapolis however the hotels there were charging three or four times the amount of the Shearton Annapolis. This hotel was literally a five minute drive from downtown and was perfect for our needs. The price did not include breakfast however there was complimentary coffee in the lobby and we simply grabed a cup on our way out in the morning and ate breakfast at a restaurant of our choosing. A great value if you are visiting the area.

The room service food is bad. I mean BAD. Room service is expensive to start with, which is understood, but, the food was "all-you-can-eat buffet" quality. Also, the room smelled like bleach or something. The walls had slashes in them. The TV had poor reception and many channels were unwatchable. It looks like they may have fallen behind on upkeep or something. And to top it off, I booked a room with a King bed. They gave us two doubles. I called the front desk and they said they were booked up in regards to King size beds. I requested a reduction of rate. She then said she could move me to a King. Why didn't they just do that upfront?
