Best Western Plus Parkway Hotel - Alton

Overall a great price for a very nice hotel bed, room. The breakfast buffet, lol was not a buffet but it did have more than some other hotels provide. For me its the beds that make the hotel and mine was just what i needed.

I loved staying in this hotel. Newly remodeled and very clean. Rooms are quiet and all amenities are great. Water pressure (usually terrible in many places) is good and room is well-lit (again, usually dim). Located on a main road and very easy to find. Nearby shopping and chain restaurants.

Only complaint is the breakfast was not stocked. Went down for a quick breakfast and all the juice and milk were empty with no one in sight. We waited a few minutes and then went to the Burger King next door.

This proeprty has recently been remodeled, and it is lovely. The breakfast was good. It is a little tricky to find the entrance--you have to approach by cutting through a Burger King. But overall, I'd say that this hotel is an excellent value and worth seeking out!

We got just what we wanted! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was just what we had reserved, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had nice variety, and every service and individual was so perfect for us that we will definitely want to use this one again.

I didn't like being charged for the room after I had already paid for it. Of coarse, it was corrected, but i was still charged twice for the room. the rooms needed to have some blankets and firmer pillows. the shower head in our room did not work, we couldn't take showers, we had to take baths. we also did not have a coffee pot to run coffee in.

This Motel was originally founded as a Ramada Inn. Several Years Later it became a Days Inn. Since I lived in a community 20 miles or so away I know this Motels history. Before becoming a Best Western Plus Motel they remodeled it. The room my wife and I stayed in was very nice and roomy. The hotel is easily accessible from the beltway around Alton. It is close to a number of restaurants. The interior of the entire motel seemed to have been recently remodeled. The room was definitely a higher class Best Western room. Wi-fi response was very good. The breakfast was average.

I was in Alton on an overnight business trip stop. I chose the Best Western Plus due to it's relatively low, hotels.com price compared to other St. Louis-area hotels, proximity to my business appointment and the good ratings. The ratings were correct. This is a quality medium range hotel. I checked in around 9 p.m. The clerk at the desk was very friendly […] and helpful. My room was on the second floor, and my trip to the elevator took me past the fitness room (which contained five machines), the pool (which was closed for the season) and the elevator...yes, past the elevator. The only real negative is that the elevator can be a challenge to find, because it isn't marked very well. Once in the room, I was surprised to find a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The room was very clean except for what looked like dirty fingerprints on the sheets at the end of one of the two queen sized beds. I was by myself, so it didn't matter to me. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was also very clean. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was hot and tasty. If passing through Alton again, I would stay here. Read more

room nice, but VERY noisey. Loud men around pool drinking one night and the next night lots of kids around pool after hours. Hallways noisey most of night and then start up again about 5 am. Unless no other place to go i would not go back.

There isn't much to choose from in the Alton area. I have stayed at other hotels and had horrible experiences. So, this is really a stellar rating compared to the competition! The first room I was given didn't have a functioning air conditioner, and with heat in the high 90s, that wasn't going to work. But I talked to the front desk and they changed […] me to another room that was much better. It was clean, comfortable, not too noisy with partiers or kids. Don't expect a relaxing time in the pool, though, because that is where the kids congregate, and they all seem to want to do cannon balls. The breakfast was adequate; waffles, muffins, etc, and biscuits and gravy (biscuits were awful, gravy okay) and eggs (pass on these.) The coffee was really good, though! Front desk staff didn't always answer the phone, but were available when I went there in person. Overall, just okay for a normal hotel experience, but for Alton, this was like the Taj Mahal. I will stay here on my next trip, if that means anything. Read more

Housekeeping staff needs to be more friendly. They would not speak unless spoken to first. Room 232, electric outlet is very loose, next to the a/c under the table with the lamp. My wife and I had a wonderful 4 nights at the Best Western in Alton, Illinois. As we were departing, I summed it up by telling the front desk people that our stay was "comfortable, clean, and quiet."
