I enjoyed my stay and was most pleased with the staff, particularly the valet (AJ) and the guys in the bar/restaurant area (James & Chris). They were so kind and helpful regarding anything I needed or asked them. The amenities in the hotel were very nice although I did not have time to use them all. My room was supposed to be upgraded to the Business […] Concierge level and there was a mix up so that didn't happen until after the fact. The lounge was not open on the Friday night and my flight was early Sat so I could not enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but that was a timing issue. The food was very good. I do have 2 $30 charges on my bill that I am going to call about. I suspect it is related to the Bus Upgrade but that was supposed to be complimentary as well. Read more

I was extremely impressed with the Radisson in downtown Lansing. The service could not have been better! Every single employee was friendly, helpful, and, when I said "Thank you," without exception they responded with "My pleasure!" (Am I the only person who is annoyed by "No problem" from a server?) I also wanted to commend the front desk and valet […] staff in particular: When I asked for directions, the valet insisted that he drive me to my business meeting himself, which was a half-mile away. Hotel staff were very friendly. Room walls were a little thin, could hear snoring going on next door. Wish the hot tub was up and running. A little pricey in the bar/restaurant. Room was clean. Had nice view of downtown.

There were 4 adults and the hide-a-bed was too small for 2 adults so unfortunately one of us had to sleep on the floor. Called the front desk and they couldn't do anything to help us. The hotel was packed with a softball tourney, two wedding and parents moving their kids into dorms at MSU.The hotel handled everything like a champ.No complaints about service. This hotel is close to some great restaurants and an amazing park. We chose this hotel because it is the only one within walking distance to the event in the park we planned on attending. I don't think this made it worth the price though. The bathrooms are dated. A shirt was left in our closet from the previous guest. I was excited to see the Sleep […] Number beds but after trying it decided they are really bad. On the day of checkout we had a random hotel employee knock on our door at 8am and ask us what time our check out time was scheduled. I thought that was rather odd and not right. Rooms were a little small. Food was above avarge. Great location for visiting downtown Lansing. Three blocks from the Capital building and three blocks from ballpark. Awesome valet parking services, very quick and efficient. Extremely friendly staff, very accomadating.

Our weekend had us there for and event in the Lansing Convention Center and the access back and forth was FABULOUS! The sky walk is enclosed and was great on the rainy day, early morning and evening. Now the room: Sleep # beds were so great! The bathroom was big, clean and had lots of counter space. The water pressure was so good. My daughter and I […] have long hair and washing/rinsing was a breeze. Our room was on the side of Grand Ave and it was a little noisy at night('til about 11:30) but no more noisy than Chicago or New York. The pool area was great for kids. Pool was a little small but it did the trick! Oh also loved that the hotel was in walking distance of the State Capitol Building and many restaurants but beware the eateries close down early so all that is left open are bars that may serve food. Definitely use valet parking. The valets were so helpful in bringing our car around when we needed to put something in it or get something out of it. Would not want my pre-teens searching the parking ramp for my car. For an inexpensive fee you can get your car in and out of the ramp easily throughout your stay! Big bonus for us with kids and events to attend. Great Stay will stay there again when in Lansing! Read more

Employees were super nice. Rm was great! Only problem, on the phone they told me no problem with late check out but upon arrival, they did not want to give it to me! When I told them, I had called, they gave it to me! Hotel was perfect for marathon, short distance to start, finish, and packet pick up. Hotel referred us to a great restaurant.

Right close to the capitol in the middle of downtown. Great location. Hotel was in good condition. Exercise room was pretty decent compared to others I have used. The pool was nice, no one else was in there, which was nice for a change. You could adjust the firmness of the bed, which was nice. Staff was friendly and helpufl.

I have a sleep number bed myself so I was pleased to see that the Radisson also did. After a long exhausting day, I was looking forward to crawling into bed and getting a good night's sleep - which did not happen. The remote on the sleep number was broken and it must have been adjusted to extraordinary firmness as it was a brick! To add insult to injury, […] I like it on the cool side so I turned the temperature down. Everytime the air and/or fan came on, it sounded like a 747 was landing in the room. I had originally scheduled a two-night stay, but checked out a day early from sleep deprivation. When I voiced my displeasure to the check-out clerk, she told me, "those things happen". We were in town for the Michigan-Michigan State football game. Despite being near East Lansing, the hotel was flying a U of M flag and the staff were wearing U of M shirts. This may not bother many people, but it was a turn-off to us. BUT, the most outrageous thing was that, not only could we not get Fox Sports Detroit in our room, we couldn't get […] FOX in our room. We were told the hotel's bar/restaurant had the stations, but no way were we going to reward the hotel with restaurant revenue for failing to have a basic TV station. This place has not been updated since the late '80's early '90's. They are the only hotel for miles downtown and near the Capitol so they don't care about the condition. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and heave been very happy with it, which is why I had no problems booking it again. However, this time around it wasn't so pleasant. The room was very nice and cozy. I had a sleep number bed which was pretty cool and very comfortable. The staff at check-in and throughout the stay were very friendly too. My problems […] with this stay though, are things that really couldn't be controlled. My stay occurred during a junior soccer tournament, so the hotel was flooded with kids, running up and down the halls throughout the night, playing on the elevators, my DND sign was taken off my door, pretty much things that should have been controlled by the parents. The problems I had that the hotel could have prevented are as follows. While I did request housekeeping my second day there, I returned after a long day of meetings to see that just the bed was made up, no new towels were left, the garbage hadn't been removed, and it was apparent trash too. Another issue I had was the location, and the people in the area. I was approached no less that 10 times in 4 days by people asking for money for bus, food or asking for cigarettes. One guy came up to me and asked me for bus fare, which I reluctantly gave him, then less than 24 hours later the same guy asked to use my cell phone. The security at the hotel should have been on top of this. The night time security seemed to have his hands full as he was an elderly gentleman, and too much was going on for just one person to handle, let alone an elderly person. If the hotel were to clean up the people around the hotel, and housekeeping were to do their job, then this hotel would have received a perfect score. Read more

Location was great. Food was very good. Hotel age is showing, particularly in the guestroom corridors which smelled musty. The real problem, however, was the wireless internet; weak signal in our guestroom required that i go to the lobby to get a strong enough signal.

I would recommend anyone needing a place to stay in downtown Lansing to check out the Raddison. Our stay was comfortable, though we had trouble with the sleep number bed. This hotel met all of our needs. Our 3 rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The showers were fine. Plenty of soft, fluffy towels. We enjoyed the lobby bar. Convenient to several restaurants as well as to Michigan State Campus. Would definitely stay again.

The check in time for this hotel is not until 4 pm. We had made reservations because of an event at the nearby Lansing Center and had to be dressed in formal wear and there by 4:30 pm. At first, we were told that there were no King rooms for us to use until 4:00 pm and the person working the desk was pretty rude about it. FInally, another guest services […] person came out and got our party (6 rooms) into rooms that had been cleaned just by moving us to a different floor. Seems like a pretty obvious fix. Anyway, the hotel is very nice and very convenient to the Lansing Center (connected with a 2nd floor overhead walkway so you can get there without going outside in bad weather), just be sure to ask for early checkin if you need to get into a room early. I stayed because I had finals for law school. The hotel had to conventions while I stayed. It was quiet enough to study. Everything is comfortable. They have a less expensive sister hotel, the Country Inn and Suites off Creyts. I have stayed in both and highly recommend both. Food quality is excellent. Prices are reasonable.

Hotel was very quiet. Few guests over spring break for MSU. Everything clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Did not eat at restaurant. Hotel right downtown and in walking distance of many different restaurants. Nice YMCA health club 1 block away available for $5/day. Some confusion regarding parking -listed as free on Expedia website - at check in […] $14/day was mentioned. Was able to clear up with manager the following morning. We checked in around midnight after a 10 hour drive. The front desk staff was very friendly and got us into our room fast. Ok, now for the room. It was very roomy.
