Fleuri - Fine French cuisine fashioned from seasonal Pacific Northwest products is the attraction at this lobby-level restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Full-course table d'hôte dinners are featured, along with signature dishes such as filet of turbot, roast quail, and lightly smoked rack of lamb. Guests who don't see what they want on the menu can make their preferences known to the kitchen in advance, and the chef will oblige. The chocolate buffet is legendary.
Gerard Lounge - An intimate lounge reminiscent of a private English club complete with fireplace, leather furnishings, wood paneling, soft sconce lighting, and landscape paintings. Movie stars and showbiz types, many of whom stay at Sutton Place's luxury apartments when filming in Vancouver, are often seen here.
The hotel is eight blocks from the Vancouver seawall, a 19-km (12-mile) paved waterfront pathway suitable for cycling, running, walking, and skating. Only 1/2 a block from Robson Street and a few blocks from the Skytrain station and the waterfront. Very easy to get around without having to drive. The staff and hotel are awesome. The only complaint I had while staying there was the power shorting out in the bathroom in the morning. Wierd. I've used my blow dryer everywhere I travel and have never had this happen before.

Beautiful rooms, elegant hotel, good location, great help from the folks at the consierge desk. One problem arose when at checkout I discovered that I'd been charged with a bar bill for drinks I had never purchased. I had had a small meal with a soda upon arrival late at night, but did not drink $45 worth of alcohol. As it was a Sunday when I checked out the clerk could not verify what I was saying and told me she'd check on Monday to have the charges removed. I have not been notified yet of a correction, and it has been 10 days since I departed Vancouver. I hope that the charges will not appear on my next credit card bill!

The Sutton Place cost a little more than I usually pay, but it was well worth the extra money. The accommodations were first class, and the location couldn't have been better. We were walking distance from great restaurants, shopping, Stanley Park, the Convention Center and the Vancouver Night Life. The hotel itself had all the expected amenities, great food and great service. We are planning to visit again next year.

The Sutton Place Hotel is quite grand and beautifully decorated. It is comfortable and the staff are really helpful and pleasant. The bar and the restaurant serve good food and have nice atmospheres. Close to Art Gallery and more importantly Robson street shopping and Pacific Centre shopping. The bathroom needs a demister and the air con is a bit noisy when it first turns on but I would definately come and stay again.

Overall, this was a very nice hotel with an excellent location for business travelers. It was easy to reach the hotel from airport via SkyTrain, and there were many things to do in the immediate area. My only disappointment was that the staff was less than attentive. My room was not cleaned for two of the four days of my stay. When I called housekeeping, they said that they would send someone "right away", but no one ever came. I left a complaint for the Hotel Manager but my call was not returned. Also, on a much more trivial scale, I requested a daily newspaper that did not come on any day of my stay. Internet is a bit pricy at the hotel, but I was able to go over to the coffee shop across the street and log onto the internet when I bought a $2 cup of coffee.
