"The best thing about this hotel is the location."
It's located in the heart of Vancouver downtown, which is in close poximity of all major attractions. And there's food markt next block in case you need to buy snacks, bottle water, etc. The hotel is nice, I found the bed and linen to be of very high quality. I think over all, this is the best hotel choice for first time Vancouver visitors.Genuine Expedia guest review
Downtown Vancouver is great and this hotel is right there!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location is ideal and many of the must-see places in town are within easy walking distance from hotel. Terrific accommodations, top-notch staff and customer service, and 5-star restaurant, what more need I say? I highly recommend The Sutton Place Hotel, and definitely, will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best and Worst"
Everything seemed perfect from the start , very nice and beautiful hitel giving you the feeling of having just hit the lottery. They paid so much attention to details especislly inside the room. But not till they tell you that parking is $40 and regular internet is. &20. Do I have a choice? NO. I will recommend this hotel but with a warning . Location […] is perfect, roght in the heart of thr city's shopping and happening district. Perfect hotel, best hotel I've stayed in my life, but be ready to spend extra $50. Nice hotel, not new but well maintained, in the middle of downtown Vancouver. Walked most places and used the car for the suspension bridge and other trips outside the city. Expensive parking but don't know that anywhere else would have been cheaper.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Rude Hotel Staff"
Hotel was very beautiful and the rooms were very nice. But the front desk staff was the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I had booked through Expedia a room with a King size bed or twin beds with a special request to request a King only. He basically told me that the room assigned is a twin beds and that they don't care what is put in […] special request. His comment made me wonder about any ADA request someone could have. Anyway, he spoke to me in a very rude tone and basically told me that this is it. I would not book here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very nice but with a weird flaw"
This hotel has a lot of pluses: nice quiet room, ample counter space in the bathroom, extremely extremely helpful concierge, great downtown location. The weird flaw has to do with their air conditioning system. At 4:30 am I woke up because the air reeked of cigarettes, despite the hotel being non-smoking (or at least the part where we were booked). […] The smell was coming from the hallway, which at 4:30 am was deserted, so there was no one actually smoking in the vicinity. Cigarette smoke was somehow being pumped in by the air conditioning, and blowing into the room through the gap under the door. I stuffed a towel under my door to attempt to minimize it. If not for this, I would have rated "excellent" in all categories. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A pretty good experience."
Hotel is very nice, the only thing that I think these type of legacy high-end hotel are lacking is free wi-fi. Since the charge is already high, why not provide a free wi-fi ? Why still insist to make some extra $ and ask guest to pay for wi-fi, which is a basic services no matter where you go. Even across the street on Starbucks can do better than […] this. Beside the above, I will say it is a money-worth 4 stars hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel, Great location"
This is a very nice hotel. Even the restaurant was excellent, which is rarely the case for hotel restuarants. The chef was willing to create a cheese plate for us even though it wasn't on the menu. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Vancouver. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants such as Joe Forte's Seafood and Chop House […] (I highly recommend it). It is also within walking distance to Stanley Park, and just a block away from Robson Street (shopping district). The staff was excellent. Very polite and willing to take the time to answer our many questions. The rooms were quite spacious, with large bathrooms. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great EXCEPT location of the pool"
Great service. Slightly dated decor but overall nice hotel. BUT the location of the pool and exercise room is awful. They're in a separate tower than the guest rooms. To go from your room to the pool you have to: go down elevator to lobby, walk across lobby to go to the residential tower, take elevator up one floor, walk through the spa, and walk down […] a flight of stairs. The elevator in that tower was slow and constantly full at 2pm on a Saturday. There aren't stairs except for emergency stairs that lead outside from the spa. So after a relaxing hour in the pool my pregnant wife had to walk up a flight of stairs to wait 5-10 minutes for an elevator. The first one that came was full. The second was going up but we took it anyways and rode up to the 8th floor before going down to the lobby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Heart of Vancouver"
Sutton Place is close to everything! Robson Street, Granville Island Market, hop a bus to the Sea Bus and head to North Vancouver. Drive or bicycle to Stanley Park. Pacific Centre Mall is walking distance, as are galleries, excellent restaurants and everything wonderful Vancouver has to offer is either walking distance or use their very efficient public […] transportation. "Enjoyed our Stay"
We had a great time staying here. The front desk service was exemplary as was the valet staff and maid service. We did wish that the concierge would have had a little more specific recommendations. While friendly, giving us feedback such as "if you go to Gastown, you'll find lots of restaurants to pick from" when we asked him for a recommendation, wasn't […] the most helpful. But, that's nitpicking! :) Overall, the hotel is beautiful; in our room some of the furnishings very much showed their age and wear, but that also somewhat added to the charm. The bottom line test for me is, "would I recommend this to a friend?" and the answer is "yes." Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel downtown"
I loved everything about this hotel except housekeeping. The concierge service is exceptionally good. I was able to get some last minute tickets to a fabulous concert, the restaurant recommendations were exceptional, and the staff is very pleasant and welcoming. On the other hand, housekeeping was quite bad. The room was not dirty--after the first night's […] stay (I stayed five nights), the room never looked like it was made up! Nevertheless, I stayed five nights and plan to be back. I loved the location, the staff and even the restaurant at the hotel. Typically, I avoid hotel restaurants but this one has very good food and a lovely wine list. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Simple said the hotel is tired"
I am shocked this hotel is rates 4.5 stars. bottom line if I had to sum it up - not worth the price and not clean. Do not under any circumstances stay in their apartments as they are worse than the regular rooms. The saving grace is the staff and location. The hotel itself shou be completely remodeled or rebuilt.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Luxury in a downtown location."
We arrived after a 5 day trip to Denali and a 7 day cruise. And with colds. The hotel offered quiet, service and a pleasant ambiance. We liked that it was centrally located. The concierge was helpful. Service was good despite our checking in at the beginning of BC Days, a state holiday, about which we knew nothing.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Luxury Hotel with Attention to Details"
I greatly enjoyed my stay at Sutton place. The service was great. Check in and the valet were both quick and courteous. Housekeeping was attentive when they came by for turndown service, asked if we needed anything, and offered to bring ice or extra towels. The room amenities were nice. The robes were very soft, the bath amenities were high quality […] and they even included a little loofah. The honor snack and drink bar was was well stocked. The fitness center was exceptional. It's the best gym I've ever seen at a hotel. The only think that wasn't amazing was the TV remote, which was slow and occasionally unresponsive. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This is a great hotel with a great location - steps to shopping and various kinds of nightlife and the staff was very helpful - even getting us into our room at 9am the day we arrived. Above and beyond.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"More good than bad"
The bad parts: Self-parking and valet parking was the same price: $40/day. Internet was also pay-per-day at $15-$20/day and we kept losing our connection. The good parts: LOCATION! We were able to get everywhere by walking, from Chinatown to the beach. Anything you could possibly want is within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. […] The city view from our room was nice. The room was spacious. We didn't eat at their restaurant, but it was bustling and it looked beautiful. Pianist on site. So, despite the above-mentioned issues, it was well worth the stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND A WEEK!!"
I had heard great things about this hotel, but it was a surprise that they were true.. I don't think i have ever stayed at a hotel with such wonderful staff. From the minute i checked in, they took care of me so well, I didn't want to leave. From the front desk staff to my wonderful housekeeper in the mornings monday to friday (she's the best!!), I […] felt special. My first morning, I went down to the restaurant and was embarassed to say I was just there for coffee. No problem!!... The great hostesses sat me in a quiet area every morning and the serving staff is amazing. I love the coffee press pot that is placed on your table every time you sit down for breakfast. My only complaint would be that by the time the breakfast arrived, the toast was too cool to melt the butter.. Otherwise it was great. I would say that my only complaint about the room in general is that the plumbing is very slow. My sink was unable to drain quick enough so water backed up in it and the toilet was not very efficient. The shower was great but sometimes ran low on hot water. My Mon-Fri housekeeper that came by at night to roll down my bed was awesome as well and so accommodating. Overall it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Thanks Sutton Place. You made my vacation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel and location"
Great hotel. Nice room, convenient location. Like all large cities, the parking is overpriced/expensive. Save yourself the expense and use cabs. You can walk to most places anyway. Does not have free Wifi which is inconvenient, but there is a Starbucks across the street. Does have laundry facilities for extended stays. Lots of "pride" and PDA on display […] in the city which requires some extra explaining during family travel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We just returned from Vancouver, we had an amazing time, what made it so perfect was the location of the Sutton Place! It was centrally located we could either walk or take public transportation. Staff was friendly, Sergio in the concierge was very helpful. At the end we found out they had a kiosk to get your airline tickets which printed out our boarding […] passes.., another kudos for Sutton Place!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Centrally located in the Fisherman's Wharf. I am used to associating the name Radisson with elegance; this reminded me more of an old Best Western. No food, coffee, or cocktails, self parking only.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charges for everything"
Our family of 3 stayed for 2 nights pre-cruise at this hotel. When we first arrived, they wanted to charge $30 for a rollaway bed for our child, even though our reservation was for 2 adults and 1 child. I had to pull out the confirmation to avoid this extra charge. They charge $40/day for parking/valet and even $1.50 per local call. There were 2 good […] things about this hotel: location was close to shopping downtown and the bell hop was very informative. I would not return to this hotel. We have stayed at more luxurious places and this wasn't luxury although everything was clean. The nickeling and diming was annoying. The lobby was noisy. We didn't find this place to be anything special. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Old world charm and comfort in trendy Vancouver"
I simply loved this hotel. I got a great weekend deal on an executive suite complete with living room, king bedroom, marble bath, and luxurious bathrobe--the works. The hotel compares favorably with The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco, CA, including spa and gym. I loved the city view, the fact that my room service breakfast tray was made of real wood, […] and the fact that there were separate bath mats for both the shower and the bathtub--that's the level of service, pampering, and attention to your comfort that you experience My bed was turned down nightly, and they even left chocolates the way they do at upscale European hotels. The food in the Boulevard restaurant was consistently excellent, and everyone was so friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming. I'm going to look for another package at this hotel as soon as possible. "Great hotel; great location!"
We loved this place. Probably helped that we were upgraded to an executive suite, but I think we would have loved it anyway. The room itself was great. Everyone we met was helpful and courteous. We had dinner at their new restaurant our last evening there, and that was wonderful. Oh, and I did I mention that it's in the heart of downtown? We will definitely […] return. "Great Place to stay, great location"
We arrived early at the hotel, and it was raining so we did not want to go out and explore Vancouver. So we went to the front desk and they checked us in. Also upgraded the room when we asked for a different type of room. Elaina was the front desk person who took care of us, she was very friendly and helpful when asked questions about Vancouver. The […] bell man was Holman who unloaded the car and brought the bags to the room – he was also very friendly and helpful with local directions. We got the room and it was a lovely room although a bit small about 12 x 14. The room had two queen beds, a table for one suitcase, the TV armoire, and a desk. There was a table between the beds but no individual reading lamps. The bedding is nice and soft and the mattress is firm, but not hard. There were plenty of pillows on each bed that were comfortable not the flimsy ones in some hotels. The towels in the bathroom were bath sheets, and think – but they were a little scratchy. The bathroom was adequate in size, with at tub/shower, toilet and vanity with 1 sink. Large mirror with lights on either side. No exhaust fan. We spent one night at this hotel and paid just over $120 which was the hotels.com rate which did not include internet or parking or breakfast. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
