"Excellent Location!! Nice but not a 4.5 stars"
The hotel is situated right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Front desk and Concierge are okay, not really seem to care about the customers, although the staffs in the restaurant and bar are very attentive and friendlyGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Great City View from A Huge Window!"
Our room became extremely small after we had put an extra mattress for my son. It was a busy night when we stayed so they didn't have any more spare roll out beds and they put a mattress on the floor instead. However, the hotel's staff was very polite to explain that and the housekeepers who made the bed for us were very friendly, nice people so I didn't […] mind in the end. The hotel room had a shoe shiner which I've never experienced before, but I really appreciated because I really needed it!!!!! :-) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Downtown Hotel in Vancouver"
We stayed four nights at Sutton Place in Vancouver.....in a king - premium room. It was a lovely room. The service was excellent and we will stay there again when we are in Vancouver.Genuine Expedia guest review
Sutton Place is an excellent, downtown hotel. The staff is courteous and willing to assist in any way possible. Robson Street is a five minute walk; Canada Place fifteen, and Gastown twenty to twenty five minutes. Approximately three minutes to the right of the hotel is a lovely Market Place grocery which is an excellent spot for picking up fresh fruit […] or other goodies. Of course there is a Starbucks across the street from the market and a Blenz at Robson. We would definitely stay at Sutton Place again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We spent two nights in this central Vancouver hotel and were very satisfied. The rooms were large, well-appointed and well-maintained. The staff was very attentive. The concierge was absolutely amazing. He spent at least an hour on the phone with United Airlines trying to sort out our cancelled/rescheduled/unable-to-check-in tickets home. All the time […] he was marshaling his staff to take care of other patrons, making restaurant reservations and keeping the operation running smoothly. I am in awe of his multitasking ability - all done with a smile. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location to explore Vancouver."
The hotel is conviently located near shopping, restaurants, and the harbor. Most everything is within walking distance or a short cab ride. Staff was friendly, helpful and very courteous. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great view. Great recommendations from the staff for restaurants and site seeing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is going to be my hotel everyte I'm in Vancouver. I would recomend to all my friends and family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great overnight stay!"
They actually placed me on the condo side of the hotel, in a 2 bedroom and it was spectacular. I wish I could have stayed for more than one night. It was impeccably decorated!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location for shopping on Robson!"
Great location, short walk to the Skytrain, shopping, museums, etc. Nice, quiet room overlooking Burrard...that is unusual for downtown. Awesome staff and comfortable rooms. Only down side, internet is not free, other than that, great location, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely downtown hotel in good area"
Enjoyed our stay, did not care for $14.00 / day fee for wireless and fess for use of business center given the cost of the room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stay was pleasant with no surprises. Staff was friendly and prompt.Genuine Expedia guest review
"able to walk everywhere !"
Great comfortGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located in the center of down town Vancouver, with lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was very quiet with great staff. Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else - a nice hotel. The only complaint is the cost of parking a car at the hotel garage was $39 per day.Genuine Expedia guest review
Only in Vancouver for one night before we boarded a cruise ship. This was a very nice hotel and conveniently located to great restaurants and the cruise pier. Would highly recommend the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice centrally located hotel with a great staff."
We arrived early and were looking to store our bags until check-in time. The folks at the front desk went the extra mile and found us a room that we could walk right into bags and all before the official check in time. Nice little gym. Able to get a good work out in. Very clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in a great location"
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. It is located in the cross section of Burrard and Robson. This is the heart of the beautiful downtown Vancouver. It is a 4 star hotel, but looks like 5 star.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location without a car."
Sutton Place is centrally located. There is no need for a car. Walking distance (6 blocks or so) to Water Front where most tour buses depart. Two or three blocks away from the Sky Train to/from airport or other places. Make sure to try taking the Water Bus. We walked down about 6 blocks from the hotel to Water Front to take the Water Bus to North Vancouver […] Longsdale Market and had lunch looking out the beautiful water front view. The Water Bus only took 15 minutes to cross the Bay. I saw lots of locals frequent this market. Big Red Bus picks up at this hotel which took us Stanley Park. Ounce arriving Stanley Park, you need to switch to another Big Red Bus to get the tour inside/around the park. Every Saturday & Sunday there is a Street Fair on Grainville Street a block away from the hotel. No free internet but you can go across the street coffee shop for free WIFI. The hotel has a fine winery right outside the it but did not check it out. Love the location of the hotel. Worry free about parking. We spent a relaxing, therapeutic 4 days weekend. This hotel is well situated in the centre of the city but does not suffer from street noise. Dining facilities are a bit limited but there is an extensive range of restaurants within walking distance as are shopes and Vancouver's waterfront area. A nice relaxing, comfortable hotel devoid of chrome and tinsel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel. Good location"

"Nice, classy hotel in the heart of downtown"
We had a great stay. The hotel is very nice and located within walking distance of the observation tower, the ferry, and countless great restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Near the heart of the shopping district"
The reviews we read raved that the hotel was a five star property. The staff lived up to the expectations through their professionalism and courtesy. The property, however, was quite disappointing once we were past the entrance and lobby. Our king room was spacious, but it was neither clean nor comfortable. We found hair in the shower, bathroom floor […] and countertop. The bathroom floor was also sticky. The mattress was the least comfortable we have slept on in years. The springs felt as bought they were protruding from under the sheets. The rest of the room desperately needed a good dusting, carpet cleaning and painting. The fitness center also suffered from a cleanliness issue. It desperately needs a good cleaning and to be maintained. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great hotel, only complaint would be no free Internet anywhere on the property. Room was fantastic and concierge was most helpful regarding activities in VancouverGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent Hotel, but..."
I had a great experience and would consider staying here again in the future, but it's not exactly my cup of tea. I'm more of a boutique hotel person. The Sutton Place is a great, but a little staid -- which isn't bad -- just not what I ideally look for in a hotel. It has great amenities -- spar treatments, business center, full concierge services, […] well regarded restaurant and bar -- really excellent. But it is excellent in the way all 4 & 5 star hotels are, by providing you with great facilities and great personnel, dedicated to hospitality. There's just nothing to make you want to go out of your way to go there or to make it stand out from the other quality places. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very, very nice"
The Sutton Place was vert plush. The hotel staff was very helpful with printed directions to all the sites.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Pillows are important"
Fantastic hotel. Within walking distance of many sights. Beautiful facilities. The only negative I have is that the pillows lack support, and I woke up with a stiff neck. The restaurant is also a little pricey; for what I paid for breakfast-for-two, I could have gotten one night at a cheaper hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine, but not impressed."
Good thing it was somewhat discounted, or wouldn't have been a good value. Even so, $200/night... Food was good; somewhat pricey. Great location; staff friendly & helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, quiet, nice location, great staff"
My first impression was very positive because the people who work at this hotel are all quite friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The neighborhood seems fine, but I spent most of my time at a conference so never experienced the neighborhood or the hotel's amenities.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and luxury ambiance"
The staff was very friendly and the hotel provided every amenity a traveler needs. My wife and I spotted a celebrity checking in at the front desk... Probably the most convenient location for any luxury hotel in Vancouver, close to Robson, Granville, Stanley Park, Gas Town, and the English Bay. We walked everywhere in 10 minutes or less. The views from […] the hotel room were awesome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, great service"

"Overall a very nice place."
It's in a very busy part of the city so don't want to drive if can be avoided. While it was in the fine print I found the car parking charges excessive and an extra $13. to connect to the internet just so I could confirm a flight reservation a little much. Especially since I could go across the street to Starbucks and get it for nothing. There is lots […] of shopping nearby but mostly for under 30's. Also many restaurants so had lots of choices. "$20 per Day for wi-fi???"
The Sutton Place is a nice hotel located in heart of downtown, so very convenient to everything. Be warned that everything costs extra and nothing is cheap. Wifi was going to be $20 a day, which is ridiculous. Glad I didn't bring a car because that would have been $39 per day more. The pool and gym facility are nice and included with your room price. […] We did not eat there -- too expensive -- but walked next door to the market to get food instead. Room was very nice and the hotel is lovely inside but a bit on the "stuffy" side in terms of decor and attitude. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"More than lived up to expectations"
This Vancouver property offered a very quiet, comfortable, personable and friendly stay prior to boarding a cruise ship four or five blocks down the street. The staff was very helpful in giving us directions for a nice walking tour of the local area along with suggestions for close-by eating that lived up to their promise.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dropped ball on final day"
Overall very pleased with room. Only complaint was I had to stay two extra days when I asked for same rate was told it was going up about a bit a day, I had to change rooms which dropped the rate another bit a day. I used to manage hotels and frankly they were not sold out and should have extended the same rate and not moved me. First it costs more […] to turn a room, second ended up getting lower rate, third why mess with someone who already stayed 3 nights with you. Not great service at front desk, turned a wow stay into an ok stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is in a great location and the lobby smells fantastic. Our housekeeping was fabulous, they did a great job making up the room daily and making sure we had all full bottles of toiletries. We did not dine at the restaurant. The concierge helped us with information on the Vancouver Aquarium and routes to get there. The room was quiet and we slept […] well. The fitness facilities are a bit small but they have everything you will need to stay on track. I would definitely consider staying here again if I returned to the area. "GREAT START KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION"
Arrived at 6:30am AFTER BEING LOST FOR AN HOUR east of Vancouver BC. Met by a wonderful valet who made the day right. Explained that I had made arrangement's to park my car at Hotel and would come back and check in at 3pm check in time. He said that I could check in now even if my room was not ready. He unloaded the luggage the Doorman took it to the […] Desk. They checked me in. My room was not ready, was told that they would put a rush on my room. My luggage would be taken to the room as soon as it was ready and I just need to pick up the key when I came back. I went off to Convention stress free instead of the frazzle person who had arrived. Everything went off as the staff said it would. Had a great stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel Great location"
Walking distance to everything. Quality old world hotel in the heart of town. Great room, furnishings, bathroom, views and service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to shopping on Robson Street and a short walk to the concert at BC Place. So busy they couldn't upgrade us but we received free valet parking and wifi instead, which were a bonus! Asked for a room behind the elevator (they end in 10) so it was a nice long room with lots of room and asked to be up on the higher floors so we had a great view and […] it was quiet. Bed was very comfortable - had a great sleep! Easy access and parking Comfortable and secure Staff was very helpful and we will go back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was as if we were staying at a very well to do Aunt's home. The service was gracious, the room was comfortable, had a spectacular view, a great bathroom, and the sheets were out of this world. If I ever am back in Vancouver, I will stay here again. The staff were professional yet warm, and the ONLY thing I wasn't perfectly happy with is the internet, […] which kept bumping us off(though it may have been the airline website?), but they took it off the bill in the end, so that was fair. They even arranged for a limo to take us to the airport and it cost just bit more than a taxi would have. What a great stay! And in a perfect location. We walked to the shops, even walked to the cruise ship terminal for fun, (though it is less than a $10 taxi ride to that) and ate at Joey's across the street - a must do if you are in the area. The Thai restaurant across the street is great, too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Downtown Location"
The Sutton Place Hotel is a great starting off location for many excursions. It is located 1 block from Robson Square, and it is only 6 blocks from Canada Place and Vancouver Convention Center. It is also close to the Skytrain stop and to major bus lines that run to Stanley Park. The hotel is also beautifully maintained. There are many very good restaurants […] within walking distance, and the in-house restaurant Fleuri is also very good. The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous.
