"great hotel, clueless staff"
The lobby and bar were beautiful, unfortunately the bar has odd hours. Apparently it closes at 10 weekdays and 11 on the weekend. We were hoping to get an evening drink. We asked staff for directions and public transportation available and they had no idea. You would think being that close to Ravinia they would know what it was, and how to get ther […] e. "clean, comfortable, friendly"
This hotel was a great experience. My in-laws stayed in an accessible room, which was more convenient and easier to access than the fancy suite at Wisconsin Dells where we were the week before. Our room, with two queen beds, was spacious enough that my family of four didn't trip over each other. Exceedingly clean. When I requested extra towels they […] were delivered by a friendly person within minutes and he brought EXTRA extra towels. Hooray! We definitely prefer rooms facing the courtyard---the courtyards seem to be rarely used, so it is almost like a private garden. The signage out front is a bit small. We missed it the first time and had to turn back. NOTE: Mapquest told us the only way to enter when going east on Lake-Cook Road was to pass it and make a U-turn, however it is on a corner with a stoplight so a left is entirely possible if you see it on time! The front desk staff can help you find the easy back way out in order to get back on Lake-Cook going east. I recommend the Egg Shell Cafe for breakfast. It is only a three-minute walk through parking lots and we had a great start to Father's Day there. This was our fourth stay in different Courtyard by Marriott hotels and it has become our favorite mid-priced hotel chain. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice stay for business"
I stayed at this Courtyard Marriott in Deerfield one night for business. The staff was very helpful, even fulfilling some late night requests I had. The rooms were comfortable. There was some construction going on, but, overall a great stay. Thanks!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Personable, Accommodating Staff"

"Poor breakfast poor service"
The breakfast was poor. They ran out of eggs at 9:30 and didn't want to make more eggs. Ran out of bacon too and refused to make more. the oatmeal was runny like soup - horrible! Newspaper was OK. Hotel was in disarray.Genuine Expedia guest review

"interview trip to N. Chicago area pharm school"
Friendly staff; well maintained rooms and common areas. Thanks.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed at this hotel before and it is very convenient to family, in good condition and has a pool (although it is very cold usually) and a hot tub (which is very warm). I don't use much else except for the room amenities as I am usually with family when I am in Deerfield.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Courtyard by Marriott in Deerfield IL"
Room was clean and the atmosphere of the hotel was very nice. They did not have any information about sightseeing in the area. It would have also been helpful for the hotel to offer a free continental breakfast. Overall I enjoyed the hotel, it was very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"2 day business trip, OK hotel"
09/15/14 jaysee2011 Montreal, Canada
I stayed at this hotel last week for 2 days. It was not my first choice, but everything was booked and we had no choice. Hotel was OK, pleasant staff and front desk. I was given a room on the first floor that was an "accessible room", complete with a door bell, however door bell did not work but when you flushed the toilet the door bell would ring!! Honestly, that is the truth!! I brought my colleague into my room to show her and she was shocked. Must admit we had a few good laughs over this one! Room was spacious and clean, but clothes closet was made for someone who needed an accessible clothes closet. For me, I just had to lift my dressess off the floor of the closet. Coffee maker did not work. Also, I think the idea of keeping the coffee machine and supplies in the bathroom is gross and not exactly hygenic by any means. This should be re-thought. I moved the coffee maker immediately into the living area, though ultimately, it did not work. Windows opened which is a great bonus for me when staying in a hotel. I like to get some fresh air. We ate breakfast one morning in the hotel bistro and it was just OK. Hotel looks a little run down from the outside especially with a closed and abandoned restaurant property beside the hotel. The grass is over grown and the drive way into the hotel needs re-paving. The hotel itself is clean and for the most part updated. It is well located and was just a mile from our meeting. I do believe the hotel should have elevators. Though I was on the first floor, my colleague was on the second floor and had to schlep her luggage up and down the stairs. All in all an OK stay, I would stay here again, only if I was unable to get another hotel in the area.
"Very good, value based stay"

Was here for business. The rooms are clean, nice and quiet. The young lady at the front desk wasn't the friendliest, that has been my only downside to my stay. Bistro food was good for what it is, wine, beer and liquor costs were too much. $13 for a mixed drink!? I think not! Not too many food options to walk to, if you rented a car to get around the burbs out here you should be good. About 20-30 minutes to O'hare.
"One of my favourite hotels in Chicago"

Lovely rooms, a nice pool, fresh lemon water on arrival, a convenience store, restaurant and laundry all available. The rooms are modern and very big and the staff are helpful. The train to Chicago is only a 5 minute walk away and takes 30 minutes. Would recommend to anyone!
"Ok Needs a bigger sign"

The hotel is clean, comfortable and the pool area had plenty of places to sit the staff was nice and helpful, however when you have two children under three and there is not elevator that get s old going up and down the steps. The room was nice would of been nice if it had a microwave. For the money its a good deal. The place has a nice office area a well taken care off garden patio area and a descent workout facility.

The address says Lake Cook Road, but the entrance is on Pfingsten. The driveway is completely unmarked. There's no sign on the building nor over the carport. There isn't even a sign on the siding glass front door. You have to actually walk into the lobby to know that you're at a Courtyard. The hotel is laid out "motel style" with parking around the building and multiple entrances. I was on the ground floor and had a patio door out to the parking lot. This is a security concern for some people. I appreciated the fridge in the room. I did not like the carpeting in the sink area.
"One of my favorite hotels"
This hotel is one that we stay in when we attend a show at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. We have always been pleased with this location. The rooms are clean, and beds comfortable. I cannot comment about room service, as we did not use it.
"3 Nights in Deerfield"
Room was comfortable and amenities were good for the price. The property was updated recently. Couple things that are still needed in the rooms. 1- need to install a mirror near the desk. It's impossible for 2 people to get ready at once. 2- need to install gooseneck in the shower so someone over 6ft can take a shower. Otherwise it was very comfortable. Would stay again in the future.
"Average is sometimes good"
05/08/14 Grandsir Baltimore, Maryland
Was in Deerfield three days for a series of business meetings. The location was easy to find and was centrally located in regard to my meetings. When you stay at a Marriott you know what to expect. Clean rooms (generally), enough space to work, limited amenities and a cooperative and pleasant staff. That is exactly what this location provided. I got what I expected.
