"The "Old Faithful" of Morgantown Hotels Updated"
I stayed in one of the remodeled King Bed Rooms that was offered on Hotels.com for $85.00. At that price for everything you get you can't do much better. The location is excellent, great and secure parking, and an excellent dining room built into the hotel. The winning hole card on this hotel is the complimentary breakfast buffet with "REAL FOOD", coffee, […] and OJ in the dining room for everyone in your party. It is great to see an 80's classic still going strong! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to medical site I needed to be at early"
Wonderful service, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The pillows were my only complaint, great for watching tv but too full and lumpy for my sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I had to get off the interstate due to heavy snow and this location was convenient for that. The bar had great people watching a big ball game, the food was better than I expected. The front desk staff friendly and efficient. I didn't care for the staff seemingly looking the other way when I complained about someone burning incense in their room (so […] much of the smell in the halls that it got into my room, and it filled the elevator and could be smelled in front of the elevator shaft two floors below). Nor did I appreciate the surly people working the breakfast buffet. It sits up on a hill by itself, so even if it were not -8 and snowing, it would still be a remote location. On the whole, reasonable value for the price paid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Renovations needed badly!"
Bathroom is very small - hopefully they will enlarge them with the renovations that are going on. Signage to the hotel is non-existant. And signs on the room floors with room numbers were non-existant. Rate was high for being so old and outdated.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Outdated Facility With Poor Free Breafast Deal"
No available plug outlet for C-pap machine. Very small, difficult to manuver in,outdated bathroom. T.V. remote not functional - had to manually operat T.V. Very poor free breakfast menu- feature and service.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room smelled of urine and smoke. The entire place smelled moldy, the carpets and furniture were stained. The staff, who were doing something more important then attending to the customer , could care less. I would not recommend this place if i were being paid to do so. We had to check out after the first night !! never going back.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Smelly & Scary"
My husband and I booked a room for ourselves and my parents for "West Virginia Parent's Weekend." We walked into our room at 10:30pm after a 6 hour drive. We were exhausted. When our door, I was nearly knocked over by a smell of urine. It was disgusting and so was the room. The room was dirty, had mold spots on the ceiling and the wall paper was peeling. […] The curtains and bedspread were very dated. The blow dryer was practically falling out of the wall. When I put my phone charger in the bathroom outlet, it nearly fell out of the wall, too. I had a really difficult time sleeping in this gross hotel. In addition, there was a wooden barricade across the floor with no explanation as to why it was closed off. The elevator was very rickety and I thought it was going to get stuck. Do NOT stay in this very NEGLECTED structure. You will be disappointed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"First Ramada stay a disappointment"
I normally stay at Marriott Courtyard or better in terms of ratings but was unable to find a room in Morgantown due to Parent's Weekend event. As a result, I stayed at the Ramada for the first time. The outside of the facility was absolutely beautiful and the lobby was nice as well. The staff greeted us in a pleasant manner. However, when I saw our […] room on the fourth floor, I would have preferred staying in a tent! The smell immediately hit us as we entered the room, adorned in 1970's wallpaper used normally in dining rooms. The bathroom floor appeared dirty and the door broken and beaten up. The thick green carpet appeared new in contrast to the 20 year old looking bedspreads. It smelled and felt dirty overall. The first sight I saw upon waking up in the morning was a large black bug on the ceiling which at first I thought was a cockroach but later realized was a stink bug, a prevalent pest of the NorthEast these days. I am not sure of this outcome is indicative of all Ramada's or if this one is just old and beaten up by the college students of WVU but I would not stay again sadly. This is an older property, but well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was a little too firm form my taste, but of good quality. Breakfast was especially enjoyable in the main dining room rather than in the usual little breakfast bar at other hotels. I would definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too Much for Too Little"
The hotel staff was a pro and a con. Before our stay we called to clarify the pet policy, and we were treated in an abrupt manner on the phone. During the check-in, the attendant was very nice, polite, and helpful. The lobby of the hotel is very nice; however, the state of the room was very disappointing. Aside from a moldy shower mat, the room was […] clean. There was a very strong musty smell that pervaded when we first entered the room, however. The room, in general, was run down. The comforter and carpet were showing their age, and the TV was a tube not a flat screen. I hate to nit-pick about the TV, but we paid $115 a night - you expect nicer amenities. The room did feature a refrigerator which was a pro, but a microwave would have been a nice addition. Overall, this hotel needs some serious updating done to the rooms - carpet, beds, windows, televisions, etc. It was clean but not what you expect for the money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Mental Institution or Old Folks Home"
We selected this property because it was a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, what we found was hotel unfriendly to humans. This property is extremely outdated. Upon arriving, the main floor is furnished beautifully but everywhere else is severely outdated. The rooms were dirty. The microwave and the refrigerator looked like it belonged in a dorm. The […] fact that the appliances were black did not help the situation, since they showed how ineffective they were cleaned. The complimentary breakfast was a joke. They had only one working waffle iron for everyone to share. The bread was stored in a three tiered clear plastic storage bin you would find a Target or Walmart and the bread was stored in the plastic bread wrappers. This was by far the worst Ramada Hotel or Inn, I have stayed in, including one which was in New Orleans that we renamed the Ramada Rochez Hotel, which was converted from a Senior Home to a Hotel. The next time, I come to Morgantown, I will stay elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing Ramada experience"
Parking lot repaving in front of the entrance caused quite a hassle since there was no signage to let people know where to park. Had to turn around twice and go down two one way streets to find a place to park behind the building. Desk clerk was clueless regarding the paving situation and a sign in the lobby also asked for our patience during hotel […] renovations (another red flag!). Lobby was clean but outdated. Room was sorely outdated with an old fashioned tube TV that barely got a picture. The room was sticky (with a slightly moldy smell) and did not improve with turning on the air conditioner. We were too tired to complain but when we woke up, everything was soggy including our clothes in the suitcases. The only saving grace was the hot breakfast and the super sweet waitress. Hopefully all of this will improve with the parking lot completion and the remodeling but I doubt I'll ever chance it again and will think twice about staying at another Ramada. Thankfully I was given a coupon from this website to deflect some of the expense paid for this uncomfortable stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't expect anything new"
I knew when I walked in the room I was back in time. I haven't seen a CRT TV in a hotel for quite a time! The window was broke, the room was damp and musty, the commode chain broke and had apparently been like that, just rigged to barely work... People were nice, pass on the free buffet and get the made-to-order omelets.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Oldest Ramada Ever!"
The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are very outdated. The old doors and thin walls bring every sound in, bathroom was so small that it was difficult to close the door once in. It is fine for an overnight stop, but I would not go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location, impressive building"
Although the architecture is lovely, the place is old, and therefore has it's issues, it looks worn in the room. The shower water never really got hot, but it was clean. The continental breakfast was very good.Genuine Expedia guest review

The room was old and drab. The bathrrom tub was not cleaned properly. The wireless Internet wouldn't work. The free breakfast was terrible. "Ok for in a pinch"
The lobby was really nicely decorated. But the room we were put into was for handicapped and had a broken toilet seat. "One Night Stand/Two night eat"
Was nice. Good business center to check e-mail as the wireless was spotty on occasion. Restaurant was not open even though it said it was open on weekends etc. (not Sunday). The bar was nice though and the menu was good. The waitresses were excellent and the bartender made the drinks better without complaining.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location, showing its age"
It was the perfect location for a business appointment I had, and I have stayed there several times in the past. The age of the room was showing in some of the fixtures, and the bathroom faucets were not pristine. Sink water pressure was lacking, and I could not get the tub stopper to work, but the shower was great. The beds were clean and comfortable, […] and the A/C unit was on a thermostat, which is important to me. The hostess/waitress taking care of guests in the free breakfast restaurant area could have been more polite, but she was obviously slammed with a crowd of guests. "Overnight stay for Graduation ceremony"
This hotel is not really a Ramada, at least it does not live up to the reputation I associate with the Ramada name. Its is very outdated and old. Conditions experienced: 1. overall room appearance: old and shabby, old and rickety fixtures, worn furniture, holes in upholstery, outdated/old bedspread, 2. Room Internet did not work, 3. Cable TV worked […] intermittently, dropped in and out due to loose cable, had to reconnect (jiggle) loose cable several times to get TV to come on, 4. no morning newspaper, 5. workout room had no sanitary wipes to clean equipment after use by previous person, 6. Complimentary breakfast - mediocre, fruit consisted of basket with green bananas, apples, oranges; weak coffee. Overall experience: very unacceptable. I was very disappointed, not like any Ramada I have stayed in before. I would not recomment anyone stay here. To add insult to injury, the hotel inflated the room rate more than 100% because it was Graduation Weekend in Morgantown- a big waste of money. Do not stay at this hotel. The rooms where very clean. The only problem that I have with this hotel is that it's very old and the decor and hotel shows it. For example, old bathroom fixtures and wallpaper pealing. The hotel has a odor of mildew. But with all those negative remarks, overall the hotel is good for a one night stay. Especially if you are there to attend WVU football […] game or picking up your student. Also, they have terrific breakfast bar that is free with your stay. Room/hotel was outdated. Wallpaper was coming off wall. Blanket under the comforter had holes in it. Stains on the floor and chairs. TV was old (which isn't the issue) and the signal was poor. "Just off the highway, very close to collegetown"
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I asked for synthetic pillows and got them. The room was clean and the heater worked well. They had an individually packaged razor, shaving cream, toothpaste, comb and a few extras I don't remember in the bathroom already. Those are things I have to ask for if I forget them. That was a nice touch. The […] rooms were accessed from the inside, and that was very nice because it was freezing outside. They have a bar with fried snacks after hours and a large dining room where they serve a continental + breakfast buffet. The breakfast attendant was friendly and brought coffee to our tables. Breakfast is complimentary with room reservation. The decor and furnishings showed the hotel was built and decorated in the 1980s. It was well-kept and clean. I thought it was charming - it reminded me of my early childhood. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
