I can't believe how run down the Ramada has become...it's apparent everywhere you look...no longer the upscale hotel it once was...not just this one...the second one we have stayed at that was run down. Also, our heater in our room wouldn't shut off. There was a sign on our air conditioner that it won't work. Loud and inconvenient. Ppl playing dice till after midnight by the pool. Ppl in the pool and talking loudly at 6am. Soda machine didn't work. I overall just not worth half of what I paid.

We have chosen this hotel 2 years in a row for our Easter stay, because they have a very large pool area and the hot tub is attached to the big pool which is really cool! I was impressed with my room. Very clean, the amenities were great. The only complaint I have is that my room was next to the housekeeping area (their laundry room). The staff talked loudly/listened to music loudly from 6:00am until I checked out. I am all for staff having fun, but I was tired.

It was ok. The bed was comfy enough. Pillows were really fluffy. We didn't use the pool so I can't speak for that. The shower was one that you could take off the adjustable hook. The front desk people were great. The hot tub was great. The exercise room needs equipment and ambiance. Possibiities for a great stay - breakfast with the room rather than discount would have been preferred. We have stayed twice this year and would stay again....would be nice with upgraded exercise room and breakfast included.

I was very disappointed that upon arrival, in order for us to go in the lounge, we would have to pay a cover charge because there was a comedian performing that night. Don't you think that could be part of the cost of staying there? Overall, the hotel is in dire need of renovations.

Although our room was very clean, beds comfortable, and decor good, the bathroom shower was awful, no cold water, the shower had very little pressure, no ceiling fan independent of the heat lamp.. But it was clean. You had to turn on the heat lamp to get the fan going in the bathroom, which only made it hotter and very uncomfortable. This was bad news. Only 60 rooms were booked the first night and we (2 adult women) had to be put in a room with the window overlooking the pool with all the noise. The wallpapering in the room was peeling a little bit and the showers had some mold/mildew problems especially under the soap dishes/faucets where you typically cannot see that stuff. I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Even though it is somewhat old and dated, I found it to be very quiet and clean. The linens and towels were nice and the room was clean. I was able to walk and pick up a cup of coffee at a local convenience store. There is also a McDonalds close by. Grand Forks is a wonderful college town. Very clean and friendly.

The staff were very accommodating, the Airport shuttle service was very convenient and the room was excellent. Comfortable beds. The initial appearance at entering the lobby is drab and dingy. The pool area the most UN-inviting pool of any hotel I have ever been in..although it was an amenity I requested in my stay search, I did not use it. But the real stickler was after I turned out the lights and pulled the sheet over my face - something was rough. At turning the light back […] on and investigating I found a fairly large patch of something dried onto the sheet. It appeared to be nasal mucus...very gross. There was some kind of construction - sawing and hammering that woke me before 8am which since I did not check in until about 2am this was not appreciated. Then housekeeping began knocking loudly on all the doors and held a loud conversation right outside my dood, even though I had the "DO NOT DISTURB" card on my door. Although the dest clerk apologized, it was a dry, uncaring apology and offered nothing to make any kind of amends. I did not chance the continental breakfast and left very dissatisfied. I stayed at the Ramada because I had to be in Grand Forks for a school related reason. I think this hotel is a good deal for the price I paid. I stayed for four nights. The bed was fairly comfortable (not a pillowtop) and the linens clean (not Egytian cotton) and the shower was hot (not sparkling gold faucets) and the carpet clean (not a Persian rug). […] If you want those things, please plan on paying a great deal more! Pool was awesome, really warm. staff was really helpful, we had drunk morons in the room next to us. They were waking us up repeatedly in the wee hours of the morning. We called the front desk and they came right up and took care of it. The surrounding area was pretty decent, not a bad neighborhood at all. I would stay there again.
