The hotel was good, clean, modern, friendly, helpful staff. Hotel did not have a spa tub as it said in the description when I booked, (and important to me!!) and the bar was overpriced, but otherwise good stay, near shopping and restaurants.

Everything went great... all convenience factors were also great. Some of the reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5... and contemplated 3... having a restaurant onsite was so convenient - instead of having to drive through snow - but the quality of the food was 'so-so' and way over priced... but it was convenient... the pool was nice... It was heated... […] but truthfully not enough... the towels provided are not sufficiently sized to dry an adult body... fine for little kids but adults prepare to go through 3 or 4 towels to dry yourself. The black out curtains in the room were jammed / stuck and that made that prevented a 'better night sleep' but we were finally able to fix them around 7 am and go back to sleep for another 3 hours! Having covered parking was awesome b/c I didn't have to dig the car out of 10" of snow! The late check out was appreciated and I had a good stay and would stay there again. Read more

When we arrived we were told the key card machine was broken and we had to be taken to our room by an engineer so that we could be let in. After waiting several minutes for one to arrive, we were guided to the room. We then went out to dinner at one of the many local restaurants and returned to find the key machine still down. On the way I peeked and saw the hot tub was out of service and was informed that the hotel decided not to implement a NY requirement and have a lift installed so they just closed down the hot tub...a feature my wife and I were looking forward to. I must commend the staff at the hotel for their excellent service. They were the most friendly of any group that I have ever had to pleasure of meeting. Marriotts are always so uniformly excellent, except in this one case. It's good but has long been and remains just shy of what you expect at a Marriott. Junk in the hallways. There are indoor and outdoor pools here and the room was super-clean and looked to be updated in the last 2 years or so. The front desk staff is personable and friendly. They are quick to notice when a line builds up at check-in and immediately get other staff to help with the line. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A friendly and helpful staff made our overnight stay a pleasure. An extra cot (for our third guest) that we requested was free of charge and in our room before we got our car unloaded. They even threw in free wifi. We had a wonderful night's stay.

Marriott should change their policy for charging for internet access both in the room and the business center. I wanted to print a map off Google and went to the business center to do so but found that I had to pay for the entire day just to spend 5 minutes in their PC.

Was there on an overnight stop over. The hotel was clean and very quiet. The beds and pillows were GREAT! I had a great night's sleep, which I rarely have in a hotel. The bellman, Richard, was so helpful, and directed us to the only attraction around, which was mini-golf...a cute place. Overall, I'd stay in the hotel again, just not in Albany.
