I arrived in the evening, left imediatly for dinner and to buy personal things in Walgreen that in the same building. When I try to sleep it was impossible. There was constant blowing nose. Two floor bellow on the roof all compressors making sounds and in bathroom was especially loud. I called and ask to give me quite room but hotel was booked complitely. I was given ear plugs that helped a little. The next day I was moved to room facing street and no noise. All day I was out and at night discover that toilet was clogged and water start runing and flooded bathroom and outside. The hotel worker came and stop the flood and put a blow-dry machine in the room. I refuse to move. Otherwise this hotel serves my need perfect and I'll stay in my future visit to D.C.

Parking is added to your hotel bill and is very expensive per night. Internet is an additional fee. Morning coffee again is very expensive. If you do the advanced purchase you can save on the room. That's what we did. Hotel is clean, rooms are very nice and quiet. Checkout is at noon but are card was deactivated by 10 am. We had to get one of get one of the hotel staff to let us back in after a morning walk and breakfast. Whole Foods is right down the road and has a great selection of pre cooked or cook to order foods.

The rooms were clean and elegantly furnished, but very small and poorly maintained. The bed was comfortable, but the paint was peeling in our bathroom, and the door didn't shut because the door frame had settled. If you're a Marriott Gold member, definitely avoid this hotel. They took three tries over the course of two days to get our room keys coded for access to the lounge, and when we finally got in, the free breakfast was being cleaned up half an hour early. The staff was rude and unapologetic about both the breakfast and the issues with room key, as if we were inconveniencing them for asking them to do what they were supposed to do in the first place. The only staff who were nice were the cleaning staff: They greeted us in the hallway, and wrote us a thank-you note for leaving a tip. If you're not a Marriott Gold member, you probably want to avoid this hotel as well, given the large number of good alternatives in the area. You won't get free wifi or free breakfast at this Marriott anyway, but the Best Western down the street includes them, looks nice, and costs less.

Really nice, but no complementary breakfast is a negative. Expensive, but you know that when you book it; seems like they would include the Fuji water on the night stand. Maybe it's just me.

We had a great two nights here. The bed in particular was very comfortable. Service was great and the hotel was clean. The popcorn ceilings were unfortunate, but did not interfere with our stay. For the price, I think that in-room wi-fi and a continental breakfast should have been included.

Old, pop corn ceilings in rooms, coat of paint can't cover up the desperate room remodleing this property needs, parking staff was excellent as was hotel manager Kori (true professional) and James...but some of the other duty manager's (Madison?) was rude. Valet, bell and room service staff was nice as was lobby (v. well updated) but bathrooms and rooms are very sub standard and not worthy of half the rate charged! We booked 5 rooms for our VIP's but only 1 was satisfied with their stay!

Overall the hotel was great. The room we stayed in (two double beds) was very comfortable, the lobby was very nice, and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. However, I would not recommend the hotel for parking. We did the self-park option (rather than valet) and found getting in and out of the basement parking garage kind of inconvenient. It's very small with lots of columns and service equipment taking up space. We wondered how you're supposed to get out if another vehicle is coming in since there's only one lane in and out. If you're staying over the weekend it's very doable to find on-street parking that you don't have to pay for. If you're staying during the week just shell out the extra money to have the valet park for you. It will be worth it and the hotel is definitely worth a stay.

They only allowed us to have breakfast for one person in our room and charge us $25 for a horrible breakfast. If there are two people in the room they both should have breakfast. The front desk clerks were very rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone else.

Overall, this hotel served its purpose. Room was clean, beds were comfy, great shower pressure. Hotel lobby is really nice and was very busy. I ate at the bar one night and the club was great. Problem is the bars drink prices are pretty high and parking is really high. I guess that could be expected because you're in DC. Overall this was a good place.

Nice hotel, a bit of a walk to many of the tourist spots. The bathroom didn't have a light, one had one in the shower. I'd probably wouldn't stay there again mostly because I'd want to try another place.

I guess I'm used to Marriotts for business and there is a big difference between those and hotels catering primarily to tourists. This seems primarily a tourist hotel and the lobby is the first tip off with lots of confused and tired people loitering around. That said, the room is equipped with the typical Marriott comforter beds and they are indeed comfortable. The room was nice. i could have done without the maid leaving the shower head turned so that the water would come streaming out onto the floor however. A fifteen minute walk to Georgetown and they don't gouge you for parking.

This hotel was very nice especially for the price point. It was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Only downside is the parking garage is very narrow which can make parking larger vehicles tough. Other than that, it is very centrally located, right near Dupont and Foggy Bottom metro stops. Would stay there again.

Did not love the lobby, very distracting. I never mind paying for service, and a great room but it infuriates me to pay 33.00 for hotel parking. I know all the hotels charge, so make it a little easier on the average pocketbook! Loved our room and breakfast was great. Take earplugs. I have been at dozens of Marriott properties over the years and they have generally been great (which is why I keep coming back), even when large groups, noisy youth, noisy drunkards, etc. are staying there at the same time and make a ruckus. This one is not on my return list because it fails to meet the bar set by those other experiences - I could hear every single noise in the hall and adjacent rooms far too well.

We spent one night. The service and cleanliness were fine, and the location was ideal for us. The room was spacious, and the HVAC worked fine, but it was downhill from there. The little things that make for a good experience were missing. For example, only one coffee pod; ceiling tiles not in place; closet rod, was so flimsy I was afraid to hang my suit on it (it sagged but didn't break), and it was ugly. I had no idea that it was possible to find so many shades of brown that clashed. They apparently have recently renovated the lobby but it looked like an all-you-eat steak house. The parking garage was a challenge of tortuous turns and poor signage, and at $36 you might as well use the valet parking ($40). Overall, I would expect more from Marriott and more for $249 -- even in DC.

I travel a lot and stay in some pretty nice hotels. At best, I would call this a 2 star property. Singularly the worst hotel bed I've ever slept in-- more like a bunkhouse mattress. While the lobby appears renovated, the rest of the property is very tired and reminds me more of a motel, not hotel. The staff never even asked me how my stay was upon checkout, as if they likely already knew. Location is terrific, but this was by no means worth $350 per night! Actually, I am now pretty turned off to the entire Marriott brand right now given this underwhelming property. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was only at the hotel for one night and found the accommodations adequate. However, due to the fact that the hotel is undergoing renovations, work began at a very early hour and the noise was rather disruptive. I would like to revisit the hotel when renovations are completed and compare my experience then to what I recently encountered.

Excellent location. Staff was without exception courteous and helpful. Room service for breakfast delivered on time to the minute. Only problem was the $5 delivery charge added to the already sufficient 20% service fee (of which delivery should be a part) and rather pricey meal. But the price I had in the bundled Expedia flight and hotel package was so excellent that I can't complain too much. Great experience. Will definitely try to get the same package again.

The hotel looks and has the amenities more like those of a motel. Lobby is small, confined, and dark. The corridors to the guest rooms have low drop ceilings and are in need of a freshening. The room itself was fine except for the leaky plumbing fixture in the bath. There is NO COMPLIMENTARY WiFi. The two rooms we had both faced a parking lot and the side of a neighboring building. Not very pleasant.

great hotel, and I'd stay there again. The problem was that a renovation was underway, and there was no information given on the website to note this. The staff were pleasant and free wine/happy hour was taking place. Even so, some information about the current remodeling/renovation should have been given on the actual hotel site, and also Expedia should have been informed. it was just a major inconvenience to get to my room and back down, b/c we had to go under through the service entrance, etc. It was fine for me.. overall, but a pain, particularly one AM when I was late and rushing to get out of the hotel to a meeting.

This is the first time I stay at a hotel and I have to pay for internet access, parking, a cup of tea and all. The best part of staying there was the staff besides I wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially young professionals like me you are our own bosses and who are trying to succeed. The fact that I had to pay for internet access and 36 per day for parking was a big turn off!

The hotel is clean, the location is convenient (though I'm not sure that there's a metro stop close by), the room was comfortable and not in need of any major repairs. I don't like that they charge a separate fee for internet--it seems to me that it's an essential service these days, and more and more hotels are including it in the price. I wish this hotel would do the same. Overall, though, this hotel is perfectly acceptable, is more pleasant than some other DC hotels I've stayed at, and I would recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed my one night stay there. Staff was friendly and eager to please. I was upgraded to a nicer room without request. I had a great swim in the pool. The breakfast was terrific. All around good experience. I would go back.
