When we first got to the hotel everything seemed great. A bellman named Warren helped out with the luggage and brought us ice upon arrival. He was very friendly and gave us a few facts about San Antonio on the way up to the room. The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and we had a fantastic view. The water temperature was very hard to control in the bathroom sink. I had to turn the faucet all the way to cold just so that it wouldn't burn my face off. Once I showered at the same time that one of my neighbors was showering and the water didn't go down the drain until I heard them turn their water off. The big problem occurred on our second night. We called for our car 10-15 minutes ahead as requested. When I called for the car the guy said it would only take 5 min. to bring the car around. I new they had such a small driveway so we rushed down stairs approx. 10 min. after the call. We asked for our car and one of the valets looked for the key and since the key wasn't there, told us that the car was on the way. After waiting approx. another 15 minutes, we asked for the car again. They gave us the impression that they didn't know where the car was. Needless to say, we were upset. I felt as if they took longer on purpose. One of the valets even went as far as to tell us that we should have selfparked if we were going to want the car in a timely manner. We felt that if they were going to charge extra for valet parking then they should do a little something for that extra money. At the end of it all it took us about an hour to get our car. The head valet asked us why we were upset and then told us that he could wave the charges for that day but that there was no way he was going to wave them for previous days. At the time we hadn't asked him to wave anything, but somehow they just couldn't understand that we needed our car. We valet parked our car on Thursday afternoon when we checked in and asked for it on Friday approx. 5:45pm and after that we decided to park

The parking lot for the hotel I found out was not owned by the hotel but another company. When we went to park my truck I have a Ford 250 they informed me that not only the lot was full but they could not accept a truck of my type. I asked where I could park then they told me to just fun a parking lot. After finding a parking lot about 8 blocks away we draged all our luggage to the hotel walking by the parking garage seeing many vehicles my size (Ford 250's)parked there. Thats when i was informed that the hotel was not responsible for the parking. For the stautus and price of the room I was not happy with the service I received from this hotel. I will not be staying there anymore.

If you are about to stay at this marriott better stay at the brand new Grand Hyatt much less expensive and great service. Marriott is old and is a ripp-off DO NOT stay.

They went out of the way to make us feel welcome. I was visiting with my mother for the weekend for her birthday. The restaurant staff found out and surprised her at breakfast with strawberry shortcake. Every employee there was courteous and treated every guest as if they were the only one that mattered.

We regretted this hotel stay from our first experience at check in. The hotel was under renovation (not disclosed) which meant the sound of jackhammers during the day and smell of adhesives at night. The room was small (had to move the desk chair out of the way to get between the desk and the bed) and was located next to the elevator. The condition of the "renovated" parts of the hotel (rooms/hallways) was at best decent. We try and stay at Marriott's for frequent stay points but in this case it was a mistake. At least we had three days to remind us of the mistake.

The only thing that I was disappointed in is the fact that you have to pay for internet service. I thought for the price of the room the internet should have been included. Parking was high also @ $21.00/day. Other than that the Hotel was great.

The hotel was very noisy, i could hear traffic all night long, there are trains that come though from 3:00 AM till 8:00 AM and they sound there whisles all the way though. I heard construction beeping from 5:00 AM untill i got up. The elevators were the slowest I have ever experienced. I waited 15 minutes and finally walked down 19 floors, only to find the door locked on the first floor, so I had to go back up to the 2nd floor and wait another 10 minutes for one to take me to the first floor. The pool had so much clorine in it you could not see the bottom of it.

Room servic was quick and very, good. I missed placed my sun glasses in the lobby and they were returned to the front desk and when I asked about them they were returned to me.

This is a beautiful hotel; staying here definitely will make you feel special. It is very comfortable; the people are among the best I have dealt with; and the convenience to being downtown could not be better. You can't go wrong here.

The only problem we encounted was that the room was not ready for check in when we arrived. The hotel was beautiful and so clean. The room was very clean. Room service was excellent. The kids loved the pool area. Great location for a family. I would stay here again.

The Riverwalk was located in a great area, however, we never could get our AC/Heat regulated in the room and if you have ever been to Texas you know that one day you need the heat and the next the A/C! They also were paving a road outside our room from 11pm to 6am on Sunday night...talk about no sleep whatsoever! The bad thing is, the hotel should have warned us ahead of time and we could have left the TV on or got some earplugs...

Service was great from check in to check out. The room was a nice size and had an amazing bed! Flat screens are in all the rooms and the bathrooms are all recently renovated. Great stay!

We had to ck out of one of our rooms one night early because my daughter had an emergency at work that she needed to return home for. Marriott said that we needed to talk to someone with your company about being refunded for that night.........it was 12/30/07.

We stayed here one night with our 2 little children. Room was good size, bathroom was so small we could barely be in there with the children. We were there on a pretty busy weekend, so the elevators ran a little slow at times. We weren't that impressed with the pool area. The indoor area was too cold to really enjoy. But overall, nice hotel, really good location to the Riverwalk.
