The hotel itself was clean and enjoyable but it is the location that really sells it! Its a 10 minute hotel shuttle ride from Reagan airport and you just take the elevator down to the garage level to take a quick walk to catch the Metro. From there its a 20-25 min ride into DC. Comfy beds, nice underground access to Metro, and friendly staff were the highlights and a great value for a hotel of this caliber. Room was spacious, cleaned very well each of our 5 day stay. They brought in a microwave for us at no charge, let us in the room a couple hours early, held our bags on the day of departure, had a free shuttle to airport […] and free laundry facilities although one of the two dryers did not work. The pool was crowded with kids and only open until 10pm. Would have been nice to have a 10 to midnight session for adults only. I would definitely stay here again if hotel rates stay reasonable. Spring break combined with the cherry blossim festival.Pushed the resources of the hotel past its limit. They shouldnt have sold out the rooms if they couldnt provide a minimum level of service.I got the impression the hotels.com customer was on the lowest rung.

Hotel was amazing! The metro is easy to get to by going to the garage level of the hotel and walking through the tunnels to the metro, which is about 2 min. Rooms were always very clean!

The Crystal City Marriott was the perfect place to stay. Reasonable rates (especially for D.C. which is usually very high), outstanding comfort and cleanliness, and easy access to Metro. The worst thing about the stay is what you pay for the internet and the speed you get is like using dial up. Very poor internet speed and they make you pay for it. Now that is a crime. I went to the Sheraton next door to use my lap top for free use in their lobby and their speed was excellent.

If you happen to stay on a Friday night, as primarily business hotels, many Marriotts have awesome weekend rates. Of course the quality and consistency of the chain is exactly what you would expect. The king bed was too soft for me, and the TV didn't have Comedy Central, but otherwise, it was a very nice stay. Large room with large closet. Clean, well-lit fitness room with plenty of machines. A great location - located in an indoor and underground mall right by the Metro. Only one metro stop from Reagan National as well.

We got in late at night and the hotel couldn't have been easier to locate and check into. Althought it's on the other side of the river from the National Mall, we weren't concerned with staying by the Mall. For one thing, the Metro runs everywhere in D.C. Overall a very good value for what you get, and in a perfect location with tunnel access to Metro. Staff were all nice and helpful. Only two cons: (1) there is literally only one towel bar, located above the tub, yet there are five big wall spaces in the bathroom and vanity area that could easily accommodate more. It can't be because the wall can't […] support the weight because they have a magnifying mirror mounted on one of them, and besides they could use wall anchors. They have one of those signs encouraging people to re-use towels, yet have nowhere to put them but on the very limited counter space or the floor. Makes no sense whatsoever. Also the towels are quite thin. (2) the heating/air conditioning unit fan cannot be adjusted up or down, just stays on the High setting constantly (as verified by maintenance staff). The temperature can be controlled, just not the fan speed even though there is a button for that. Breakfast buffet was pretty good quality, though would never pay the full menu price for it if not included in room rate. They serve identical items every single day so the only variety is if you change up your own selections from it. The items were: scrambled eggs, potatoes, roasted vegetables, bacon (very good fairly lean and cooked perfectly), sausage, smoked salmon with toppings, oatmeal with toppings, 3 kinds of melon, 3 kinds of berries, breads, muffins, croissants, and a couple of cereals. Spent one day sight seeing in DC. Couldn't have selected a better hotel. Clean and comfortable. Basic price is excellent for the DC area. Add ons, like parking and wifi are annoying. Hotel is near Regan Airport and sits on top of a lot of tunnels leading to the Metro and dozens of shops and restaurants. The hotel was too noisy. their were drunks at the bar and the noise traveled to the resaurant area and not a quit evening to relax. the food in their resaurant was terrible. Sent back the pasta for lack of taste. In the morning the lady that worked in the breakfast area probably shouldn't be there. She didn't seem to like people very much.
