Overall, the Marriott was a great place to stay. Location- good, cleanliness- good, personnel- friendly. Two items of concern: first, the room was at 'pool level' which had lower ceilings. It felt like I was staying in the basement of a home. Second, On Saturday of my stay, I left for my work at 7:00am and didn't return until midnight. When I returned, […] my room door was ajar. It was disconcerting to know the door may have been like that for most of the day. Nothing was missing (my laptop was in the room), thankfully. The hotel was nice overall and the room was ok. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only two complaints would be that the beds were old and uncomfortable and the shower drained really slowly.

Hotel condition was good. Environment was tidy and staff very friendly and helpful, a big plus. Closest mall is the Zona Rosa, some $15-$20 for one-way taxi. Hotel can be very busy. I thought it was a little far away from Fort Leavenworth. Summarily, it was good for the purpose - business

MCI is not near a lot of things and this was the only hotel close. It was snowy and icing when we arrived so decided to stay the night before driving to our destination. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Ordered room service for dinner and breakfast and the food was great each time.

Very convenient and great service. We forgot some stuff in our hotel after checking out and they kindly mailed it to us without any hassles! The front desk staff are also very friendly.

Friendly staff, very nice reception area, and a variety of upscale amenities made this a pleasant stay. The rooms are a bit dated, and I found the ceiling in the shower to be uncomfortably low for someone over 6'. Room service was a bit pricey but was on point. The shuttle service was very convenient. Overall I would recommend to anyone.

Over-priced; low end for Marriott. Need to take a shuttle to get between airport and hotel; only runs once every 20 minutes. Service was friendly; would definitely recommend the Buffalo wings.

The actual hotel was nice. The staff upon check in not so much. I was waitin in line a good 5-10 min when it was almost my turn a returning "elite customer" arrived and they let him cut in front of me and treated him like royalty and didn't even apologize to me. I found this highly rude

Very convenient to and from the KC airport and the shuttle service was exceptional. There were a couple of dissapointments, the room needed the carpet updated and there was a rather nasty wet spot on the carpet just outside the bathroom. It was midnight and not a deal breaker so we just put a towel over it, went to bed, and slept like a rock on a very […] comfortable bed! Nice room. Nice location, very close to the airport. Staff was very friendly. Pool was nice. I didn't use the excercise center, but you pass through in on the way to the pool. It had nice equipment-most of the machines had individual screens so you could watch TV. Breakfast was a buffet with a very nice selection.

This hotel is conveniently close to the airport and destinations north. We especially enjoyed the bar/dining area and work out room. The meals served in the bar were quite good and our server was particularly nice. Complimentary coffee in the A.M. and chilled/flavored water in the afternoon were welcome in the lobby area. Nice room, view of Lake, walking path. Unfortunately, the food ranged from adequate to dreadful. For example, the crab hash was extremely salty (and I love salty); the crab had been thawed but not drained, so the hash was sitting in a watery pool of smelly fish water. There was very little imagination in choices of food offered; the prices for this stuff were way out of line. Very good. Only complaints are that the bathroom door which slides is so heavy and has no handle (just the very small lock) that it is impossible to slide it shut, and windows can't be opened to get air.

Internet access "appeared" to be for a fee; hot water in the shower was slow in coming an "very warm" on one occasion and hot (with a small "h") on the second occasion. Very comfortable bed and the room was quiet and I slept well.

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Nice facility. VERY close to airport which could be helpful depending on your needs. Nearby to Zona Rosa (10 minute drive) which offered entertainment and great restuarants.

Stayed New Year's Eve because I had the 1st flight out in the morning. I mentioned that when checking in so they wisely gave me a room on the lobby level so the 300 people in the hotel for a party traveled by my room celebrating. I called the front desk to complain and even spoke to a manager. They offered to move my room at 3am. Not too helpful since […] I had to be up at 4. A MAJOR selling point for me is the hotels hot tub. I called twice to confirm that there was a hot tub that sat at least 8 people before booking. I've had experience before where I thought there was going to be a tub-but there was only a pool. The icon groups them together when you book. The hot tub was NOT up to par. It was a plastic eight seater but […] the jets were pretty much non-existent. The pool and hot tub smelled SO strongly of chlorine it was obvious they were not clean. The smell was so strong we only stayed in a few minutes. Our hotel room was next to the laundry room--it was a bummer that we were stuck in that room because we got a discounted rate. The room had good bathroom supplies and the decor was nice. I had to request some items that weren't restocked (bathrobe and tea) The beds fitted sheet was not properly fitted and kept sliding off all night which interrupted the comfort of the bed and was a hassle. There were also 2 weddings going on that kind of dominated things. The hotel restaurant was ok but on the pricey side, the food was good. "It is a Marriott" was what went through my head so it must be good. It is certainly in a good location for my needs. The staff was great. There were three things that bothered me though. First, the shower stall was around 6'7" which in marginal for anyone over 6'3". The shower head was a rain shower with little pressure so that experience was less […] than thrilling. The bed was very soft to the point that it felt worn out. I had a hard time laying on my side facing away from the middle because the slope of the mattress rolled me back to the middle. Lastly, we dined in the rome one night. The bill was more than $60 for a salad, pizza, a glass of wine and a beer. It felt like we were paying quite a price for a very simple meal.
