Loved the music by the bar, convient to bourbon street. Great food in house, make sure you are up when room service comes by, they won't come back. Room was too high (38th floor) scary: noisy, noise of equipment in the middle of the night: toilet design, could be better, had to reach behind me to access toilet paper. The location and cleanliness of the hotel were about the only thing good about the hotel. The Starbucks in the lobby is only open til 6PM (boo), our shower had a mind of its own, temperature and pressure would change randomly. I called the front desk to get more coffee packs for our room, and I'm not exaggerating, it took about 30 minutes and we received […] about 40-50 different sweeteners and TWO cups of coffee when I asked for 4. I called back for two more and the lady on the phone had an attitude like I was putting her out. Once again, we received a bag FULL of sweeteners. "Fine if you just need a place to sleep"
We were there for Mardi Gras. Based upon the ridiculous volume at that time the service was surprisingly good. However, the room was relatively run down, and definitely in worse shape than I would expect for the relatively high price. The secondary inputs on the TV didn't work, the wifi was $15 per 24hrs (which was necessary because the network port […] in the room didn't work), the bathroom had NO FAN, and the room had no way to vent as the AC didn't really work. This caused it to be muggy in the room for hours after a shower, and cause so much condensation that it soaked the carpet next to the window. The pool was also too cold to really enjoy, and they had no hot tub :( If you just need a place to rest your head for a few hours and shower it's fine. We wanted to go to Mardi Gras and this was the best deal we could get. However it was generally disappointing. There was a moldy smell when you came into the room and it did not go away. I had specifically asked for a king size bed but was given a room with two doubles. When I complained, I was told we needed to change rooms right then (it was 10 p.m. […] and we were exhausted), because they could not assure that we could have the king tomorrow. I know it was Mardi Gras but this seemed extreme. But we did move to the new room. There was so little room in the room that we had to do a dance to get around each other. We stayed from Sunday through Wednesday, including "Fat Tuesday". While security was all over the place, they were friendly and helpful! They used a green wristband to tell who was staying at the hotel, so there were no delays getting in or out. Even though a lot of people were checking in, it was quick! The room, hotel and service was good. However, when we checked in, the concierge desk offered us an upgrade in room for a fee.
