This hotel was great, everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The locations is great, very close to the airport and right next to I-90. The beds were very comfortable and the there is a great in/outdoor pool. My only complaint is that I had to pay for parking which was $24 a day or $30 for Valet. I did not know I would have to pay for parking until I checked in and it made me very made because the parking lot was completely empty. There was no need to have to pay for parking or a need for Valet. Other than the ridiculous parking fees, the hotels was great.

The hotel was nice, could use some upgrades. The layout was a bit confusing we were in the B wing and it was a long walk to our room. Room service was excelent, as was house keeping. The L station was convient and about a 45 min ride downtown. My only complaint is the parking it was $24 per night (used to be free). I have family in the area who wanted to come visit but they also had to pay for parking, it would be nice to have short term parking available for free.

out of value="5""What a Nightmare - but somewhat redeemed with two good Managers"
Reviewed by mary of Dowenrs Grove on Jan 5, 2009
The nightmare began when we got there. I had been coming here all my life. As a kid, we would come and stay for an overnight and use the great pool. The last time I came was 2004 -- when parking was still free. When I booked with hotels.com, they confirmed that parking was free. WRONG! I met my friend there - we had two cars and they wanted $22.00 a night per car. Well, there goes our small budget getaway. The manager on duty that night wouldn't have anything to do with it. He had no interest in what I had to say and just turned away. He offered zero assistance. It took us 3 hours to settle with hotels.com who only reimbursed us for one parking. Next, we booked a "full breakfast" room. I called when booking to fully understand what this meant. I asked at the front desk upon checking in. I confirmed by calling the front desk the night before breakfast. And each peson we spoke to said the same thing: you just order whatever you want - at the restaurant or room service and it's free. When checking out -- there it was - our breakfast amount -- on my bill. So I had to argue to get it off then. The person at the front desk did, but seemed completely confused as to why. Come two days later and there on my credit card bill was the breakfast bill with the additional parking fee of $22! Called the hotel who said I "was no longer in the system." But when I spoke with the MOD (manager on duty), he said he would personally take care of this and credit my card. (some redemption) Next, we went swimming our first night. It was nice. The next day, I put on my suit, went in the water and spa - and lo and behold the water/chemicals ate my suit or something. Literally, the materail just fell apart. Spoke to the MOD who was great - he reimbursed me for the suit (even though I am now out of a suit and girls know how hard it is finding a good-fitting suit). Some redemption there. Nice and very apologetic MOD. As for the room, it was just okay. Clean, but awfully small bathroom and no re

Note that you will have to pay for parking. Grocery store across the street stocks beer, wine and has a full deli. Hotel tends to host weddings and large social events so the weekend evenings tend to be noisy.

The staff was very professional and courteous. The room was very clean. Rooms next to the pool are a bit noisy, especially at nightime since you are able to hear the planes flying over from O'hare. One nice thing was having the option of preordering your breakfast for the following morning. They deliver your breakfast to your room promptly at a time that you pick. The food was average and the price was a bit high. Overall, it was a decent experience and we will stay there again.

While the hotel is accessible to the airport, the ability to get to Chicago and the surrounding areas is severly restricted due to CHicago Transit Authority work and road construction. Choose this hotel if you need quick and prompt access to the airport. It is an inconvenient destination if you are heading to Chicago or the Northshore. Incidental fees add up quickly at this hotel. Nothing is included in the room rate. Parking is $20 per night. Internet access, fax, copy, etc is all fee based. You are charged for lobby coffee.

This hotel is great. It seems they give out the rooms with balconies overlooking the pool first, which is really nice. The balconies on those three floors all connect together, so you can walk from room to room on the outside. The pool was very well kept and very clean. The only complaint I have is that we had no working exhaust fan in the bathroom. Maybe there isn't supposed to be one, I'm not sure. I never reported it or I'm sure they would have moved us to a different room. It wasn't a big enough complaint to warrant moving rooms to me.
