We LOVED our visit to the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara. The hotel is beautiful and you can't beat the location! You can walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping and hikes are a very short drive away. When we arrived the day before Thanksgiving , hotel was beautifully decorated in fall mode. On Friday morning we came down to breakfast. Hotel had transformed to Christmas!! I had a nice stay - primarily due to our dinner at Tydes and the olympic size pool. The actual room was decent, but we were in a room that seemed to be one of the only "ocean front views," which was hardly an ocean front view (more like a rooftop view with a sliver of ocean). That said, it was a fun experience, but I probably wouldn't return.

Wonderful, beautiful hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are wonderful with beautiful views of the ocean. I surprised my wife with this hotel and she told me "I was wonderful" many, many times. You can't go wrong.

Hotel is lovely, rooms adequate...not Four Seasons standard really. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend for two reasons: No HDTV, and no in room coffee makers. I mean, comon. These are provided in much less expensive hotels and it makes not sense to be toting oneself as maximum in service and not have these two things. THis is an incredible place. It is pricey so you should expect great service. The service was excellent. From the valet, to the front desk, all staff was pleasent and helpful. The restaurants are very good. The pool area is gorgeous. THe grounds are manicured and beautiful. Housekeeping literally cleaned our room several times a day including turndown […] service. My only minor complaint was wi-fi. I was told that the hotel just went to wireless. I was never able to access it. I tried laptop, phone, ipad etc. I called and they were helpful but I honestly didnt really need it so I didnt push it. But was a little frustrating. Only other minor issue was the TV in the room. Honeslty, we were not there to spend lots of time in the room but the tv was a little out of place in such a beautiful setting. It was mounted on the wall but it was an older sylvania thick-flat screen silver tv. Just didnt fit the room. Also the controller was a $2 controler that was so old all the numbers and words were fadded off so was hard to use. I know I am nit picking but this is the 4 seasons. We had twin beds, not two queens, so we could not sleep together. My bed hurt my back, the other bed was all right, but both mattresses were substandard using their peers as comparison. The pillow cases had designs in them that were uncomfortable to lie upon. Turning it over brought up a side full of wrinkles under the exterior that made it impossible […] to use. There were king sized pillows in the room, and no standard. The rooms were made up very late in our section. The toilet paper falls off the roll onto the floor with every use. The coffee in the spa is substandard. The spa was very nice, the selection of spa clothing for sale was dated and no thought was put into the selection. The room service was nice, but the choices were limited. This is an interesting historic property redeemed by the personal service, the grounds and the general beauty of the place. Read more

We were very pleased with our recent stay. We got very spoiled on our first stay and we got a nice upgrade. Would have liked to been upgraded on this stay too but as I said, we were spoiled. A beautiful hotel with great views and excellent service. The food was excellent and the hotel has an intimate old world feel to it. It's a bit pricey, which I didn't have a problem with except for the fact that they then nickel and dime you on everything. WiFi is $10 per day per device, a movie on demand $17 and parking $32 per night for valet.

I stayed 3 nights at the hotel with my children while we were in the area looking at universities. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds and surroundings are beautiful. I could never get a Wifi signal in my room and when I called I was told that even if I changed rooms that they could not guarentee that the problem would be solved but […] they did offer me free service in the lobby. I had to go sit in the lobby to check my email which was not nice since I was trying to set up appointments and was traveling internationally so did not have data roaming on my phone. This is far and away the best hotel in Santa Barbara, from its location right on the beach, to the beautiful and immaculate grounds and amenities it offers, to the absolutely perfect service! Everyone there treated me like I was the most important guest they'd ever had. A short version of a long review is simply this - I arrived at the hotel at 6pm and the next 12 hours were simply heaven - from the grounds, to the staff, the bar, foom service, food, to the spa and massage. I could kick myself for not getting there earlier or staying longer. I will be planning another stay in the future
