The Houston Airport Marriott is an outstanding hotel. The location is perfect; only a short tram ride from any terminal. You will also find friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and the room service food was great! What more can you ask for?

The hotel was what you would expect from a full-service Marriott. It was clean, the service was good, the room was comfortable. The biggest benefit was simply the time saved in the morning - I walked into the hotel lobby, printed my boarding pass on a kiosk there and 3 minutes later (seriously), I was in the security line at the airport. I got to sleep another 30-45 minutes than if I was at an off-airport property, where I would have had to wait for the shuttle, etc.

The airport/hotel need to improve their directional signage. If you get off the subway at the stop after 'hotel, next stop' you will walk a long way with your baggage. Within the hotel there's a lot of additional walking - at least in the North tower. After a late flight & long walk to the hotel, we made it to our room after midnight so the 1pm check-out made the rate more tolerable. The shower water was extremely hot even with arrow at 2pm.

When I booked I told them husband could not walk a long way needed close to elevator. When we arrived I mentioned that I had a request they said it was taken care of. It was not it was really terrible how far we had to walk I tried to get another room, they did not give us one. I guess since we were only staying the one night in order to catch a plane early the next morning. Our room was old looking, needed painting and just general updating. The bed was not comfortible, we both said we should have drove in early and kept the money! The food in the resturant was very expensive. They seemed to cater to business people on expense accounts. Our dinner was 100.00, and we only had a glass of house wine and one of least expensive entrees each, no dessert. The food was not that good, but we were not hungry afterward. It was way too much walking for anyone with any kind of disability, long halls, long way to eat and to check out and go out front door.

For some reason my registration request for two beds were ignored. I read in the amenities that a refrigerator and robes were in rooms, but my room did not have them. We could not regulate the shower water temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. The breakfast was awesome, very fresh. The bar was very convenient also. I would stay again, but would be more vigilant in getting requests met.

I got stuck in Houston overnight and stayed at the Airport Marriot. My room was ok until I noticed it was covered with someone else's long black hair. It was on the towels, the bathroom counter, the toilet and in the bed sheets. I called about it and they came and changed the sheets but I kept finding it in other areas like the bathroom floor and in the tub. They next morning I complained and got a "Sorry about that, here is a free breakfast coupon" speech.
