Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a better hotel experience in the USA. The service was incredible. We were greeted daily by all employees, the cleaning staff were respectful of our privacy, did a great job when they came in. It was very clean, my wife was quick to point out. The location was perfect in the center of all the great Charlotte night […] spots. The 4 elevators were quick. The breakfast buffet was an excellent value and of high quality. When I reported that I made an error by paying the non hotel guest rate for parking, the hotel lobby concierge, Kristen, corrected it for me, comped a movie for us, and sent complimentary wine and snacks to the room. I signed up for Mariott rewards that night, and I will be back to this hotel on all successive visits to Charlotte. They really put an exclamation point on a great vacation trip! Read more

We enjoyed the breakfast and pool but the so-called QUEEN beds were more like full- sized beds. The parking lot on the side of the building that says marriott guest is not owned or operated by marriott and cost way to much. You have to go thru the front of the building.... Don't be fooled

The bathrooms were a little bit small and old'ish. Slightly funny smell in the room. Honestly, although it was fine, I usually stay at the Westin and for the same price, The Westin wins hands down.

A couple of minor incidents (room was next to a loud partying group and cleaning lady entered room unannounced). Both situations were resolved quickly and professionally. Hotel staff was very courteous and professional in handling of their customers needs.

An upscale hotel you can have a comfortable and sound sleep for sure. Other than that, you need to pay extra for everything (e.g., $12.95 for the internet). Even the small refrigerator inside the cabinet has been removed to leave you absolutely nothing. But all night intoxicated African American males were shouting in the hallway while the females screamed and laughed so loudly everyone on the floor (10th) hear them. This is a nice and reasonably priced hotel right in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. The only downside is the size of the bathrooms. It would work fine for single occupant but for a family of 4 it presented a challenge when attempting to get ready to hit the town each day. I also wish the room had a mini fridge.

I think the staff was not very nice. They tried to charge me for services included in my stay numerous times and the parking was terrible. They didn't even seem like they were truly sorry when they would apologize for trying to charge me for parking and wi-fi for the second time. I will not stay there again. Omni is FAR superior!!

The Hotel was conveniently located in the heart of downtown Charlotte, Restaurants, bars, Carriage tours & street entertainment were all right outside our door. The room & bathroom were a little on the small side but clean & the beds were very comfortable. We had adjoining rooms for the kids so that was accommodating. It was a little loud at night (hallway […] noise) but you are at a hotel. I would recommend staying here. I had never been to Charlotte & was concerned about staying in the downtown area but I am glad we did. Location was great, awesome amenities such as an in-door pool, spa tub, fitness center, 3 dining facilities, including a sports bar. Nice one night getaway. My only concerns were no complimentary wireless internet, no fridge or microwave in a deluxe room, and the bathroom door was a challenge to close and open.

Great place to stay. Good service. Loved the cigar bar. Pretty disappointed in the add-ons though: breakfast, parking AND internet were additional fees. You can get those free at a Super 8 I would imagine. I'm glad they at least comp'd the internet.

We booked a room to spend the night after watching the Charlotte Bobcats and LA Lakers. The room was GREAT. Staff was GREAT. It was a great experience for the price. Attending a conference in the hotel and everything was outstanding. The area around the hotel had numerous restaurants, bars and nightspots. Getting directions from the front desk sent us off in the wrong direction a couple of times, they didn't seem to know the street names around the hotel. Overall it was a great stay.

The Marriott was a great place to stay. Close to everything in uptown and lots of places to eat all around and within the hotel. Parking a little difficult and the garage filled up one of the nights. More garages are nearby but can get expensive. Overall 4 out of 5.

Fantastic stay for the weekend. Exactly where we wanted to be within a minutes walk of the Epicenter with all the restaraunts, bars, and anything else you would want. The hotel was clean, well taken care of, and everything was great!

As nice a property as you would expect from Marriott. Only hiccup was mediocre service in bar/restaurant both at night and breakfast. Had to wait 3-5 minutes for a server in both visits despite there being only a few folks there each time.

The hotel doors do not keep any of the noise out of the rooms. Other guests getting ice sounded like they were in my room even though the ice machine was down the hall. Partying Guests in the hall until 3:30 in the morning even after I called the front desk to complain. I will never stay at this hotel again!

I suppose they did alright renovating these rooms with the space they had to work with. Hallways, rooms, and garage felt so claustrophobic with low ceilings and small spaces. I was at all impressed with this hotel stay. IN fact to be quite frank, I was very disappointed! My wife ordered the Oatmeal at breakfast via room service, and the Oatmeal was worse we've ever had. Part of the order was forgotten and was brought to our room 20 minutes later. We received the gratuity off of our bill.
