"Adequate at best"
The room was small. The hotel doesn't have the ammenties of many in the area. Overpriced for what you get. The inside pool is salt water which is strange. The Harrington has great charm that is not so visible from the lobby. The rooms are largely unrenovated from the 20s with original cream and black tilling . Reception incredibly helpful with preyed list of questions where to eat etc. even the hotel map was good. Walking distance of post office tower and all museums and central metro. Air on. "Good hotel, clean."
The room and pools were clean and well kept. Staff was courteous. Internet was slow and expensive for a slow link (twice my one month cost for high speed at home). I was unable to use it to VPN into work. A fast link of course cost more. The hotel did have a business center with two computers that could be used for free, but one of the two computers […] was down the whole week, so it was hard to get on the working one. We paid an extra $25 per night for a small roll-a-bed. There were 5 in my family (3 kids), and even though we asked for more than 3 towels, every day they would only put 3 in the room. So we had to reuse towels and hang them in the closet so they wouldn't take them away and leave us 3. Note there is no continental breakfast, we thought there was but probably lost track of that when comparing hotels on Expedia. "Good deal was worth the stay"
We found a great deal for the room so it was worth the stay. The hotel was doing remodeling so it was loud in the mornings and many of the convieniences like a nice reception area and coffee shop were missing. The pool areas are a little dated but still nice and very enjoyable for the kids and grown-ups. The work-out area was very complete for a hotel. […] The room was a little small but comfortable. Called in advance and requested 2 double beds on the 1st floor and with late arrival. Requested granted on the phone since traveling with kids and family. Upon arrival, receptionist told me rooms for double beds where not available but instead put me on the 4th floor with separate rooms far apart. That was the only inconvenience but rooms where great. Hotel was very clean, upgraded, modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was very quiet. Very easy to get to, has a lot of nearby stores and restaurants. They were doing remodeling and did not have the desk help they needed. Our room ac did not work very well and we had a hard time reporting this. They ended up moving us to another room and gave us complimentary breakfast in their outstanding in-house restaurant. Best breakfast ever. Rooms are very nice and clean. This hotel was the best part of our trip. The room was small but it was nice. It has two pools and a huge hot tub. It's really close to a mall, and a little drive to Boston. Don't have one complaint about this hotel! So cost effective for being so close to Boston. We took a 20 minute subway right to Boston Commons and the Freedom Trail. Somewhat sadly, our kids favorite part of our whole trip to Boston was the swimming in the hotel's indoor AND outdoor pools. 2 gyms, hot tub and a sauna also! It was great. The pool is open late so even though we didn't get in until 9pm the kids were able to swim. The service desk as very helpful and we even got pizza delivered at 10:30. The room we were in had the softest mattress that my husband and I had ever slept on. We have stayed in many hotels, as we were flight attendants in a past career. I rate this hotel poorly overall for two reasons: It is noisy. For what they charge the hotel disappoints. You can hear everything that goes on outside your room. They charge to use your IPad unless you're a businessman. Not at all enticing to the non-business traveller.Genuine Expedia guest review

We had a great visit - the hotel was terrific. Only complaint was the location, which was fine for our suburban activity on Monday (for which we chose this location) but , not surprisingly, inconvenient for getting into Boston quickly.
