I picked this hotel to be close to my daughter and was not disappointed. It was close to the tube, restaurants, museums, and pubs. Safe neighborhood. Comfortable bedGenuine Expedia guest review
"Trip to London"
Nice hotel, close to attractions. Gloucester tube system literally 2-3 minute walk from hotel. Restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Would recommend!Genuine Expedia guest review
The Hotel itself was fine, clean, basic, wifi was expensive. I did not feel the concierge was very helpful when asked questions. Reception was very helpful, and fixed the problem.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to tube."
Wifi is very expensive. They are Asking 5 pound for one hour.!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Love this hotel!"
We have been staying at this hotel since before it was a Holiday Inn. The location is great - just minutes from the Gloucester Rd. tube station. But the room was great, the service is great, and whenever there's a problem it's immediately addressed. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel in London, UK"

It was a good weekGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice and clean and our room had a view. It was nice to find that there was no need of adapters for our hair appliances and phone chargers. We were convenient to attractions, a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, laundry facilities and all types of transportation. The concierge staff were very helpful except for one […] gentleman who was rude at times but Peter was exceptional and saved us time and money with his knowledge of the area and attractions. The only thing we had trouble with was trying to eat at the hotel restaurants. We tried several times but were told that they were short staffed and could not be seated for at least 40 minutes or more. In addition, we tried to eat at the pub on the premises and could not get any attention from the staff to take our order for food so we ate outside the hotel at the surrounding restaurants during our stay. Even with that said we would stay again because of its convenience and helpful concierge staff for first time London visitors. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Hotel not great"
Overall the Hotel for the price I paid for it was good. The best part of the hotel is that it is located near the tube. The room size is good compared to European Standard but poor compared to US standard. Breakfast and wifi is too pricey.Genuine Expedia guest review
My experience was not a bad one, hotel is in a very convenient location, close to transportation, and tour buses.Genuine Expedia guest review
Soulless, inadequately staffed. Rooms dmsll. Concierge service good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a great hotel for London. it is right next to the tube station and Starbucks! The only negative is that the wifi is expensive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Realistic choice for the rate"
Wonderful location. For the rate, the hotel is acceptable and the staff were helpful in most things. The buffet breakfast is rather like a cattle trough, perhaps because the hotel is used by large travel groups coming in on buses, so it's best to go elsewhere. The room I had was small but not cramped. Internet fees are very high. Minor quibbles...the […] whole place needs sprucing up (has a slightly neglected, 80's feel to it) and the windows need cleaning (having a view is negated if the windows are too grimy to see much through). "Close to the subway station"
It's a good hotel in a very good location. Close to the subway, to 2 supermarkets and to many restaurants. The internet fee is quite expensive and the breakfast too, although I saw on a tv ad that they always offer breakfast for free. On the last night of my 2-night stay, the alarm went on in the middle of the night for about 1 minute, but no one said […] anything on the other day. The showe Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

No management oversight with any meaningfulness. Room not even vaccumed. until I left a sign on the floor demanding that it b e done (was, but poorly). Charged ala cart for everything... TV, Invernet, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to subway"
Very crowded hotel, rather small room, good PubGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My daughter and I were thrilled with the location of this hotel and all the amenities it provided. Wonderful restaurants nearby, Tube station on the corner and the hotel itself had everything we could ever want.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent stay in South Kensington"
The room was comfortable and clean and the concierge was very familiar with the neighborhood. The South Kensington location was terrific: one block to the underground; walking distance to the V&A, Natural History & Science museums. Beautiful neighborhood. Reasonably priced, too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Expensive hotel but situated in a nice surrounding area. Easy access to local attractions such as museums, parks and restaurants. In addition, its a 5 min walk to the local train station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, roomy for Europe. Stiff beds."
This hotel exceeded my expectations in some ways but disappointed in others. The room was very large by European standards. It was comparable in size to many American hotel rooms. The location in Kensington was also amazing. The Gloucester Road tube station is very convenient, with access to the Circle/District lines and Piccadilly lines. This is a […] full service hotel with restaurant, bar, concierge, gym, and so on. The concierge was extremely helpful and our room and the space in general was always very clean. My only real complaint is that the beds are quite stiff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Mother and daughter stay"
After quite a bit of research, we choose your hotel. I am glad we did. The location was great just a short walk to underground and bus. The rooms were larger then I thought and they were very comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We spent some time in the Tavern, the food was good. We had a great time in London.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Holiday in at Kensington Forum was a great place to stay. Close to the tube system and museums. For a first timer in London, the staff were exceptional. The concierges were outstanding in helping us get theater tickets and knowledge on where to go. We would definitely stay there again when visiting London.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was nice size for London. Upper floors have a fabulous view of the City. Bed was comfortable. Pillows came in different sizes so you could find one that fit YOU. Desk in room plus a leisure chair. I wish they offered free Wi-Fi in the cost of their room rather than as an add-on. At the end of my stay, I did sign up for Wi-Fi for a 24-hour period. […] Learned that there were some package pricing options. This location is ideal. Close to Gloucester Road Tube Station, Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, bus lines. Walking distance to Kensington Palace, Harrods, museums. So many restaurants nearby and within walking distance. Can walk to King's Road and Sloane Square from here. Room had a tub/shower combination, not just a shower. It's an American hotel and contemporary. Staff was helpful and friendly. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"London hotel in Earls Court area"
This hotel is well placed close to the Gloucester Road tube station for the Picaddilly, Circle and District lines. It is off the main streets in a residential area and so is quiet. It is used by several airlines for their flight crews. It is close to restaurants and cafes on the Cromwell Road and Gloucester Road. The hotel has a good restaurant on the […] premises together with a pub/sports bar. Rooms are average for London standards but are clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and efficient. "Perfect location, lovely hotel"
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington for the first leg of our trip in England and liked it so much that we canceled the hotel we'd planned for when we returned to London from the north and booked this one again. The location is perfect! Kensington is a great area, and the hotel itself is also just a short block from the Gloucester Road tube station […] which can take you anywhere in the city. For its location, the price was fabulous, and the staff was also friendly and accommodating. As I said to my fiancee, we'll stay here again when we next return to London! "WiFi at a price, great Location"
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. As first time visitors to London we wanted to catch the popular tourist attractions. This hotel is a very short walking distance from the Tube which we were able to take to get to The London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace with ease. The Natural History Museum is within walking distance […] as is Harrods and Royal Albert Hall. We flew into Heathrow and the train ride from the hotel to the airport was about 30 minutes at 11 GBPs total for the two of us. There were so many restaurants within walking distance and a grocery story around the corner. This is an expensive area so be prepared for that. My husband and I stayed in a room with a king-sized bed. There was very little room for getting around. We had to turn sideways to pass each other at the foot of the bed and in the entry way. The bathroom was small as well. The view from our 18th floor window, though, was spectacular! Our biggest complaint is that we had to ask for towels after our room was cleaned. Not sure why that was. Other than that, every staff person we approached was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again with no hesitation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location hotel"
Great location. Close to a tub station and buses. nice restaurants and pub around the corner. The staff are nice. I stayed for 5 days and changed my bed only once due to my request. Overall it is a good place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"avoid using the phone"
I used the room phone to make an "800" call back to the states and it cost, 2.90 British pounds/minute!! The fact that this is pure profit for the hotel and they mark it up just to gauge people is disgusting.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great location, easy to get around"
Great location, close to tube station and grocery store. Had refrigerator in room and tea and coffee in room too. Pubs nearby to walk to as well with free wifi so you don't need to pay for wifi if you are planning to have a pint anyway. Concierge was very helpful with any questions we had.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location is perfect!"
I always choose this hotel when I travel to London (usually twice a year). The location cannot be beat - convenient to the museums, the Tube, shops and restaurants, etc. The neighborhood is very safe. Within one block there is a full-service grocery, a 24-hour mini grocery, several restaurants, currency exchange, and more. My room had a large, comfortable […] bed, and all the necessary amenities. It's nice for travelers from the U.S., as there is 110 current with a North American electrical socket - no need for a convertor. The hotel manager called the day after I arrived to see if I needed anything. The concierge was friendly and helpful. There is even a taxi stand in front of the hotel. Can't say enough about the ease and convenience of staying here. No complaints and will stay again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good value in a posh area"
The Holiday Inn Kensington Forum is a big cut above your average US Holiday Inn. It's well located a stone's throw from the Gloucester Road tube stop. It's a big hotel and rooms, by London standards, are ample. (Remember London rooms can be shoebox size). Modern amenities and top-rate service. Only drawback is 16 pounds a day for wi-fi. The nearby Starbucks […] is free. I'd stay again. Good value for the money. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice place to stay in a convenient location"
What I would expect of a Holiday Inn. Clean, up to date, pleasant professional staff. I had a room on the 27th floor. The view was magnificent. I had been told by someone on the elevator that water pressure up there was poor, but I did not find this to be true.Genuine Expedia guest review

Overall excellent value, great hotel, fabulous location. Wifi is a little pricey but the room was great, the staff was friendly and helpful and it was a fantastic place to stay in a great neighborhood. "Overall Excellent Location and Hotel"
I've stayed at this Holiday Inn several times, and although it has an unbeatable location, is well-maintained and modern, I have two issues with it. It seems to be the only hotel in the UK that still charges for wifi--not only do they charge, the charge is outrageous! When I mentioned this at check-in, I was told "We hear this all the time." OK, then […] maybe they should do something about it? The other minor issue is that the soap and amenities provided are of poor quality; like you'd find at a cheap motel. This is a lovely hotel, and the amenities should reflect that. Otherwise, still a great hotel, great location near tube station, museums, Kensington Palace and Gardens, and yet is still in a friendly residential neighborhood with everything you could possibly need. "Watch charges when you check in!"
I prepaid for this hotel on Expedia. When I checked in, I asked for wifi in the room and the lady at the counter asked for my card. She charged me 200 pounds three times, which came out to be over $900. Fortunately, I was able to see this using my bank's mobile app. I spoke to a manager and he called their bank to reverse the charges, but it took well […] over 24 hours for my bank to show the money back in my account. Even though the hotel itself is fine, I will not be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great for a short stay."
Great location. Very good desk service. However, a hotel of this level I would expect free wi fi. I have stayed at the Best Estern across the street, and for a similar sized room, same price , same good service but it had free wi fi. If staying for more than a few days, or with a family, you are better off short term renting a flat.Genuine Expedia guest review
"If you've got to have a room, you could do worse."
Had 3 stays over 8 days. First room was small and dark, with erratic hot water. They did respond to complaints. Second room large, comfortable and bright. Rating would have been higher if only based on Room 2. Third room better than one, worse than 2.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location to access the city!"
We spent 9 nights at this hotel December 25, 2012 to January 2, 2013. The hotel has a great location - 1 block from the Tube station - Picadilly Line. Flying into and out of Heathrow is easy - get on the Tube and get off at the Gloucester station. Hotel is very comfortable. Rooms are a little small by US standards, but very nice. Area is very safe and […] quiet. Starbucks is right across from the Tube station as well as a lively pub, convenience store, French bakery and grocery store. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great central London location!"
This hotel is absolutely focused on customer service. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, the staff was very accommodating and everyone at the concierge desk was a complete delight and extraordinarily helpful. The hotel is in a very nice west London/Kensington location and is only a 2 minute walk from a tube station and has several restaurants […] and grocery stores within a 2 block radius. The rooms are small by American hotel standards, but typical for European hotels. My husband and I were there for a week over the Christmas holiday and our expectations were exceeded. This Hotel wasn't that much more in price compared to a locally owned London Hotel but the size and quality were much superior. I have stayed at many local London Hotels but will stay here in the future.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for the money"
Overall I'd say the hotel is quite decent for the price given high cost of anything in London, but I don't see how it rates four stars. The room I had was somewhat small though completely functional. "hotel ok for business traveler"
I found the hotel to be ok, especially for a business person. I did not like that I did not have ice machine, vending machine or mini bar at my disposal.
