The Westin Zagreb - Zagreb

I thought the hotel was pretty great, but in my 1st room the cable box was on the fritz and WiFi was a perpetual pain in the pretzel even though wireless routers are everywhere. Beyond that and the hotel bar closing @ 1am aces all around.

Nice and updated with modern furniture and comfort, in the center of town, have stayed in 5 star hotels in US that have not been this nice. Great views from higher floors. Old town Zagreb is spectacular with all kinds of restaurants and shops and history. Look forward to come back

Nice hotel, good customer service. The breakfast buffet was awesome. I'm guessing a lot of north americans stay here as everyone was speaking english in the lobby. It was in a good spot to wander about and see the landmarks of pretty Zagreb.

The hotel is located 15 min walking distance from the center of the old town, fairly convenient but not at the best location. I would rate the room and conditions of the Westin Zagreb as average compared to the other older SPG hotels and below average compared to the new SPG hotels.

The Westin was really nice. I'm not sure it's 5 star but it's a good value for what you get. The walk to the train station and the old town is easy unless you are a fat, lazy American. . .which we are not! I'd definitely recommend staying here.

They need to upkeep their rooms and fix the room air conditioning and fix the bathroom fixtures and make sure they work. We were moved and the room were not up to par. Also when asked they should advise you that the airport does not open till 5am, so do not bothering going there till then!

Location, service, breakfast, neighborhood, convenicence, etc all good. Croatia National Theater that I saw a ballet is within walking distance, for example. Tram that goes to the 'downtown' is right in front of the hotel. You gotta try the tram. It's the state of the art. I stayed on the 9th floor. The view was magnificent. I recommend it.

I stayed in westin Zagreb hotel with my girl friend 4 nights. The location of hotel is not very bad. It takes only 4 stop by trum to main square. The hotel is overall is ok but can be never a 5 star hotel. I have no idea who gave them those stars. First of all the staff are not friendly. My room was uncomfortably warm. Opening a window was not helpful because it only opens 4 inches and nearby mass transit makes a lot of noise. Also, on the weekend there are nearby nightclubs with loud patrons congregating outside. The hotel staff were very helpful in our stay and even upgraded the room as this was our honeymoon. The rooms were clean and typical of what you would expect from a nice hotel in the US. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist areas but it is a nice walk and the areas seemed safe. As we had a suite, the AC in the other room was sufficient but it was mildly noisier and warmer than it would have been. The Westin is located only a few blocks from the Centre, easily within walking distance. It is situated near the National Theater and museums. It is also on the tram route for the Avenue Mall. The only issue we had was the lack of Wifi in the rooms. We needed to go to the lobby to use our IPad.

The hotel was a little like the rest of Sarajvo bait tired and coming out of the war from 20 years ago. The tiredness of the hotel was surpassed by the helpful and friendly staff. Perhaps the Holiday Inn chain should redirect profits from other profitable Holiday Inn hotels into fixing a few things here.

Excellent hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable with a good attached gym (private gym that hotel guests can access with a good sized pool). Location is a ~10 min walk into the historic centre of Zagreb or an easy tram ride.

In general the Westin Zagreb is an okay business hotel. Not five star, but no worse than any other of its type. However, a few bad points. Bar food was not as described. 'Scambled eggs, asparagus and prosciutto' turned out to be an omelette. First visit to Zagreb and I wanted to be careful, so I booked a well established name - Westin. Altho' the hotel look dated on the outside, inside it is very well maintained. Rooms are clean and service is excellent. Don't forget to try the local Croatian wine at the restaurant - Kauthraker Pinot Crni. Most excellent!

A little bit disapointed, when I first came with two big bags and a big jacket, got out from cab, nobody came to help me or carry my bagage (not okay for a 5 star hotel, even though a prepared a good amount of money for tip). They are taking some kind of reservation for costs in mini bar (200 euro) from your credit card, then after that they didn´t […] came once in four days to refill the mini bar.. Why take reservation for 200 euro when I can´t even spend 20 euro because of an empty mini bar after my first day.. Then when I turn on the TV, it stands "welcome miss my surname) even though I am alone and I am a mister.. Cleaning lady came in to clean my room 5 minutes after I have checked in, come on? No organization? Then she came in like 4-5 times in one day when I was in toilet or somewhere else in the room, no organization.. I am always staying at five star hotels and this one is not even close to that kind of level. Just ordinary service and rooms in a bad condition. Good location and the hotel is living for it´s name, nothing else.
