"Not the worst, not the best"
understanding this review is relative to the cost of the room.The hotel was not hard to find . the rate was fare, i might add you have to PAY for the COMPLIMENTARY breakfast and the rate is $30 cheaper without it and the restaurant Charges, you guessed it $15.99 per guest. We where greeted and shown to the front desk by a very courteous host. The hotel […] was very nice. after entering the room the room we noticed some house keeping issues and some maintenance things. first and for most the house keeping crew is not the best i have encountered there was still trash in the bens and some hairs left in the bath. The window was really dirty on the out side and then there was the dreaded top cover and comforter. after some language issues with one of the maids i found out the comforter, as in most hotels although not all, is not changed on a visitor to visitor basis. all issues where readily taken care off except the bath of witch there seem to be a miscommunication between the manager and the housekeeper. so my wife took care of it her self , on our anniversary. The room had some paint flakes and the bathroom door had water damage and the water deposits on the metal surfaces ie the shower rod and faucets. the only problem I had with the management was that they where not forth coming with any kind of compensation for our troubles even after i flat asked them to do so. The room was nice - a little smaller than anticipated, but very nice. I was surprised that our room stay did not include breakfast when other guests did receive complimentary breakfast - not sure what it takes to get the free breakfast rather than paying $15.95 for non-guests. When we checked in, the service was quick but they apparently did not swipe […] the card we gave them for the room charge and instead charged it to the card used to hold the room. They eventually charged the right card when we went back to the desk a second time but this caused a huge inconvenience because that hold charge to the wrong card takes 5 days to be reversed at the bank. "Close to airport"

"Worth the cab ride"
I came into town with a couple of friends to see a concert. The concert was at Bridgestone arena, on the strip (Broadway). There were no available rooms anywhere close to that area so we decided to stay at the marriott by the airport and take a cab back and forth to the strip. Unfortunately our concert was cancelled but we decided to go anyway and enjoy […] the night life. Having travelled to Nashville several times in the past, I can honestly say that this hotel was outstanding. Although the location isn't prime if you're trying to hit the strip or downtown area, I personally think it's worth taking a cab. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel staff are wonderful and the rooms and comfort of the beds was superb. The only thing not 5 * was our waitress at the restaurant. Our experience here was not the best. I can not blame Marriott for the entirity of our dissatisfaction, we did not realize that there would be some sort of middle school convention there. The hotel was nice and the staff were very helpful. Other than the hundreds of kids running thru the halls at all hours of the day and night and the total take over […] of the amenities that were offered (elevator,gym,spa,pool, & etc.), our stay was not to awful. And the fact that the rooms are advertised as soundproof and are far from it considering the 2 inch gap between the floor and the door. This is a great hotel, just so far from all attractions and other restaurants, so it limits your choices. Very far from downtown, no shuttle service. Our stay was only limited but the staff recognized and greeted us like family. Kids had a blast swimming and playing in the two room suite. The Breakfast buffett was unbelievably good. Everything about our stay at the Marriott was great. We had two rooms reserved for Saturday night. We were hoping we could get them next to each other, but we were not sure if it would be possible! We arrived at noon and both our rooms were already ready and they made sure we had two right next to each other. "Very Accommodating !!"
I grossly underestimated my time of arrival, and had to call twice. It was pretty much the early morning by the time I arrived feeling frustrated and more than worn out. The hotel sits right up against the highway, but the feeder roads take you past the building without a way to exit. My phone died, so I had to rely on sight and did a few passes before […] I found the road to the road that lead to the road to the hotel. When I got there, complimentary valet was so welcoming. I tried not to vent about my journey, but the first thing the desk clerk said was "Are you, ok? Let me try to help you out." Kevin told me breakfast buffet was on him so I can fill myself up and get a good sleep before checkout. He made sure I had a great King sized with comfort perks-robe, water, all toiletries, tech amenities all worked. Blackout curtains put me to sleep instantly for 5 hrs. Did I mention the buffet was excellent? Chef prepared omelettes and eggs, salmon, fat, full sized sausage links and attentive table service. Tables were plenty, and booths have 19" flat screens so you can relax and hang out a bit while you dine. A very comfy stay. I will be back here next time I have to go to Nashville. "Over priced for what you get"
while staff were pleasant and room was clean and faclities were ok this hotel is priced as a 4-5* hotel and really isn't. Its an old Marriott with a new coat of paint and passed off as luxury and its really isn't. A friend said he had mold in his bathroom. No free Wi-Fi no free coffee in the lobby, over priced under whelming restaurant for Breakfast. […] Parking isn't set up well and you may park a long way from the main entrance at night (never seemed like anyone left here) It is out by the airport and a good ride into Nashville. Free shuttle to airport is nice but took 30 minutes to get from airport to hotel. Nice clean hotel but not for that price.
