Registration was a breeze for me even though I had 4 rooms to worry about. The checking process was fast and greatly appreciated. Even though we were on the 5th floor our view was not bad. Housekeeping was great. Catarina ROCKS ( forgive me if I spelled the name incorrectly). She has the best personality. The entire staff at the hotel is wonderful. […] We were there for a conference and every staff member encountered was courteous and professional. At one of our lunches, I told the server I had problems with diary products. She quickly offered me another salad; however, I really was not hungry and I declined. I did not want to waste food. The server made sure that my entree was diary free. "Good, but not Great"
We stayed here for non-business purposes. It's close to 16th street ped mall and a half mile walk to Larimer Square. It's very centrally located so it's a quick walk to restaurants, state capital buildings, bike rentals, etc. Even Coors Field and Blake Street are a mile away. We normally love the marriott, but didn't have a good experience this time. Valet was $35, the only q-tip in our bathroom was the used one on the floor from the previous tenant, the front desk had no aspirin or gift shop to buy aspirin, we didn't havewrought towels for me to shower in the morning- but after calling twice over an hour, still never received […] any. Everything was perfect with the exception that one of the times we had valet pull up our car and it took about 1hr and 15min....we used their text for your car service but that failed that one time out of about 6...the valet rep said something about the gate was stuck...with a smerk on her face....I just wished someone their told us what was going on […] without me having to keep asking and everyone telling me "its being pulled up sir" we almost missed a reservation because of this.....all in all its my second time staying at this hotel and I will stay there again.. I have stayed at the Marriott Hotel in other cities, but this one does not compare favorably with my prior experiences. I was there for three days and the light bulbs that were out were not changed while I was there, the toilet almost overflowed on the second and third nights, and either the hair dryer or the switch to plug it in to had a short. I […] loved that Starbucks was in the hotel on the first floor, but apparently it closed earlier than I anticipated. It would have been nice to have a sign indicating such. If there was a sign, it was not obvious to me. Although the location was great, the entry off the street was not well executed. Went for a Fri,sat,sun weekend. Everything downtown was walkable. Went up and down 16th st which is where the bars and restaurants are. Super clean, nice downtown. We went to a concert at the Pepsi Center and then stayed downtown before the Runnin' of the Green 2014. It was a short walk from the 16th Mall free shuttle. We chose this hotel due to it's price online. It was exactly what we expected. It wasn't a luxury room, but it did have everything that we needed for our short stay in Denver. The bar downstairs seemed busy we returned to our room after the show, and the Starbucks in the lobby was convenient in the morning. I made my room purchase for 2 beds. When I get there they can only give me a room with a King size bed. I advised them that my room reservation was for 2 beds as it would be me and the two daughters, that we would not all fit into a king size bed. I booked the hotel for a romantic night with my boyfriend. We had been downtown for a pub crawl, and it was in the perfect location. 16th Street mall was only blocks away, as well as some great restaurants. There was a slight issue when we checked in. They only had a room with a King when we asked for two doubles (2 adults and 2 kids). They indicated our Expedia request for two beds came across to them as a suggestion, not a requirement. "Great Value and Location"
Loved our stay. Staff was super friendly, the bar has a giant projection screen TV for watching sports, and stayed open past closing time for our group who were watching the Sochi Olympics. I have no idea why the Marriott decided to remodel their lobby during January. The National western and the Broncos playoff run guarantee 100% occupancy during the entire month. I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel beds. Most staff were very nice. Great amentities. The only bad things were that the waiter in the buffet downstairs at the hotel was a bit rude. My husband ask for a drink and when the waiter came back i remembered that i needed creamer and the waiter said "oh my God" under his breathe as h e walked away, which i […] found very offensive. And the waitress the following morning was a little rude as well. The valet guy was a little agressive about getting a tip as he stood in front of our car door and my husband had to ask him to move so he could close the car door. They charge for wifi and just about everything else at the hotel. When I checked in, I soon found out that parking was $15.00 for up to 5 hours and that it was $32.00 per day for overnight parking.
