We were doing a "Sports Weekend" - Broncos and Rockies games. The location of the hotel was great for this. Walking distance to Coor's Field and a short cab ride to Mile High. Friendly staff. Lovely staff. We had a small problem with the air-conditioning in the first room they gave us. Maintenance was up in 5 minutes, and they changed our room immediately. For some reason, the front desk rep mentioned that I was in 1601, the room which worked with my key; however, another coupled entered my room (1601) and stated they were assigned to the room. It appears that I was actually assigned to 1631. Not too much of a problem, but could have been much worse.

I would recommend that if you have more then two people in your room to ask for more towels. In a room with two double beds there was only 2 large towels. The check in area was very busy and hectic so not sure if it is always like that or just during the summer.

Room was clean and spacious. Everyone working there was polite and helpful. Excellent pool and work out room. Located just one block north of 16th Street Mall, right in the heart of downtown. There was no parking lot, instead you used their valet service, bit of a surcharge. Room service was excellent. Great experience.

Came into Denver for our daughter's MBA graduation and decided to stay downtown. This hotel was a great find. Great nightly rate for what you got. Pool and workout area were in good condition and clean. Fresh towels too! Had a wonderful time at this great downtown location.

Though there were 4-5 kids on hand for valet service, it seemed one hand didn't know what the other was doing; very unorganized. Other than $20+ valet service, the only other option for parking is a $10 per day garage one block over, but watch out for one-way streets and construction detours when trying to get one block over. I was only there ~12 hours, […] and was probably only at the hotel to sleep for 8 or so, so i probably didn't get to explore other things this hotel has to offer. Seems this hotel is best suited for out of town/country Lacrosse teams, in Denver for 3 day tournaments, as opposed to someone in town for a day on personal business. Basically, all you get is the room. Hotels.com advertised the room as an upgraded room for four adults and a child, with a king bed and two ful size beds. The room was EITHER a king or two full size beds. Even with the two full size beds, not sure where the other people or child were suppose to sleep if needed. Not a whole lot of room for a cot, no […] pull out or room for one, maybe the bathtub? Not very spacious. Also, it was advertised as having internet included..not the case. The hospitality and efficiency of the staff rate a 5. Also, the bed, pillows and linens were great. My biggest complaint is the $29 charge for valet parking (the only parking available.) However the valet was quick, curteous and friendly. I also did not remain in the hotel to have a drink or eat because the bar and restaurant are below the lobby level […] and I found that to be dark and uninviting. We were in a standard room and felt a bit cramped. There's not much extra room apart from the bed and chair and I think it would be nicer it if were more open. Also there was no fridge. The bed was very comfy though!! Great location, walked to 16th st mall everyday in about 2 minutes.

We were on the highest floor of the property, and parties were raging in and out of rooms, into the hallways, etc. until 5:30 a.m. The property made no attempt to send security around to enforce some kind of order or civility. The following morning there were still beer bottles in the hallway and elevators at 9:30. On top of this, the mattresses were […] obviously cheap and worn-out; it was like sleeping on a saggy trampoline. Our family has stayed at many properties in the downtown area, and this is definitely bottom of the list. I would suggest trying the Sheridan, Embassy Suites, or Westin instead. Read more

We stayed at the Marriott City Center on Friday night to watch the Parade of Lights. The hotel was right on the parade route and it was very convenient to walk right out the front door a few minutes before the parade started and then walk right back in to get warm when the parade was over. We had to register all 4 of us in the room but only had 2 towels when we got there. It took over an hour to get more towels. The pool was small, cloudy and there were no towels. I had to go down to the front desk to request more. The hallways had not been vaccuumed recently. The extra $13 charge to access wireless internet and $27 to park overnight were outrageous! The breakfast buffet was very tasty but $2 per person more expensive than listed on your site. This is a top-dollar 4-star hotel that was not worth the discounted price I paid on Hotels.com! The location is fantastic if you want to be able to walk downtown as we did. The room was very comfortable and the valet service was seamless. We were a bit aggravated with a few of their high priced services such as wifi and breakfast. During our trip we stayed at two other hotels in other locations around Denver. The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean, and the service was extremely friendly! There was a helpful, smiling face around every corner. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, and many major venues (16th Street Mall, Coors Field, etc.) are within walking distance. If you don't plan on leaving downtown, this is a major incentive, […] as there is only valet parking for a large fee available at the hotel. The only downside we encountered was the swimming pool: both the pool and jacuzzi are badly in need of refurbishing. This area of the hotel also caters to the athletic gym crowd rather than those looking for a casual or family swimming experience. The hotel hasn't been decorated in 30+ years. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small. The restaurant, DSpot, was terrible. The Buffalo Shrimp app was all batter and the fish & chips were frozen and waterlogged. You can find a much better hotel in Denver for the price.

Overall, the hotel was an okay place to stay. It's location is ideal, as its about 2 blocks away from the 16th Street pedestrian mall. However, the rooms were smaller, more cramped and darker than I had expected. The fitness center, although the equipment was not the best, was fairly large and had wonderful locker room facilities. We had no problems […] with the hotel being loud and noisy at night. Additionally, the valet staff offered outstanding service and were always friendly and helpful. I was disappointed in the restaurant in the Lower Lobby. It was very overpriced for a not-so-great buffet, and I hated having to pay extra for only adequate quality of food because our breakfast budget never covered the full price. The hotel was convenient to my business location, and close to the 16th Street mall. However, it was a bit of a hike to better dining options (e.g. Larimer Square). The fitness center was okay, although several of the treadmills were not functioning during my visit. Friendly staff and wonderful beds made my stay very comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay here but it was not as family-friendly as we were hoping. They'll hold your luggage if you arrive early. Concierge gave us a map and suggestions. The bartender in the lower level bar was nice, but the waiter however was rude. We recommend including the breakfast buffet package when you book. Valet parking was a nightmare. Waited a half hour to get car. Others very upset too. Waited three and a half hours for a room to be cleaned so I could check in. They kept telling me: one more hour, one more hour. I arrived at noon and finally got a room at 3:15. After 11 p.m. no place to get food. Would I stay here again? Never!
