Great place to stay for a getaway weekend. The hotel is close to the mall, airport and only minutes from the Old Port and downtown Portland. Highly recommend

For the price, I expected much better. Went for a weekend with my daughter and her friends. The girls were looking forward to swimming in the pool and watching movies all night. There were no pay-movies as stated on Expedia's site. The pool was tiny and the chlorine fumes had us all tearing up. The room key did not work properly and had to go down to […] the front desk THREE times to have it keyed properly (Unfortunately I was wet and cold after just getting out of the pool)! The room could not keep a steady temperature the heat would blast, then the fan would kick on and freeze the room up, so the heat would blast again,etc. The staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was way overpriced for what you got--Sunday morning breakfast and the omelette station closed! The location was good, plenty of free parking. She was very helpful to my family by answering all our questions She made certain that we were comfortable at this hotel. The swimming pool was very clean and we enjoyed dining at their restaurant. If you're heading away for the weekend, and you're looking for a place to stay near Portland - this is a lovely spot as long as you don't mind a 5 to 10 minutes drive into the city and about $5.00 to park. Overall the hotel is fine if you're not someone that cares much for technology. I couldn't log onto their wireless internet and they sent me to tech support where I was hung up on twice. So I had a two day stay without internet in the year 2011.

I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever stayed in a hotel where my room was not cleaned after a full day out. We left Saturday morning....returned late Saturday afternoon and our bed was still unmade, towels were strewn around and there were dirty coffee cups on the furniture. When I called the front desk I was told that the cleaning staff […] worked until five a they generally cleaned the rooms first of people who were checking out and since we weren't checking out we were not a priority!! She said if we left the room they would come clean it..but we were TIRED having been out all day and really wanted to crash. Eventually we went down to the pool for a while and I called the front desk to let them know. Someone came in and made the bed...and that was it!!! I have to say I was shocked. I mean isn't that why we stay in hotels....so we don't have to come back to a messy room? outside of Portland...less than 10 minutes to downtown, easy from 295 and 95. Clean , comfortable, staff was nice. Hotel was very busy due to weddings and a conference, but no noise heard in our room. Pool area very clean. Food was quiet good for a hotel. Easy check in and out.

well i check in and the front desk people were very short with me, I got quite a few dirty looks from them, through out my one night stay, as i would go in and out to smoke. i can definitely say they did not make me feel comfortable in the hotel. This is not the Courtyard Marriott by the airport, but is actually over by the mall. Wanted to move my reservation to the Courtyard as that is where everyone else stayed. I loved our room, I didn't expect a couch and a flat screen TV! The coffee table and coffee maker were awesome! I love the Bath and Body Works treats that were left for us! Next time I will definitely bring my work out gear to try out the gym, and the cafe downstairs was delicious! Thank you!

Granted it was Columbus Day weekend, and rooms were hard to find. However, merely upgrading a lobby and fluff does not a better hotel make. Staff is the deal breaker/maker in any business, and this staff could use some depth and polishing. Rooms were a bit cluttered with furniture. Can the desk chair fit the desk? I felt like I needed a couple of NY […] City yellow page editions to work at the desk as the chair wasn't quite high enough. The room suited my purpose but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to stay there again. A lack of clarity on restaurant and bar hours and wait staff was dissappointing. The few staff that was there were putting forth effort, but again, if I'm up early, and the hotel is offering good coffee, it should be ready and not by someone who looks as if they've just gotten out of the shower themselves.
