We have stayed at several Disney resorts and really enjoyed Caribbean Beach. The Pirate Rooms were well worth the extra money plus they had refrigerators. The Pool was really great, especially the children's play area. I also loved how the buildings were separated. I felt like I was staying at a private resort, instead of a hotel. There were pools everywhere and buses that took you around the property. ****My only complaint; THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS so if you stay on the second floor get ready to haul your things up and down the stairs or pay for luggage service.

My kids absolutely LOVED the pool area with the pirate ship and slides. I loved the fact they could play in the water play area and I didn't have to get wet!!I have not seen an area for small kids like that at any other Disney hotel. The restaurant had an hour and a half wait at 8:30pm-- so book early if you want to sit and eat peacefully. The food court food was good but hectic when trying to manage small kids and very busy in the morning. The condition of the hotel rooms suprised me for Disney. They definitely show their wear.

If you have kids, can survive without certain luxuries offered at other hotels, and would like a reasonably priced hotel on Disney property, you should stay at this hotel. The rooms were average hotel rooms, but kids would enjoy the pirate themed beds as well as the pirate themed pool. The food court is within walking distance and had plenty of variety, but those with food allergies would struggle at this hotel as it didn't appear that the food court could cater to food allergies easily. All rooms have a fridge, so I was able to save money on food by bringing my own breakfast foods and snacks. The property had lovely grounds that made for a great walk, and you can rent boats and bikes if you need a break from the theme parks. There was plenty of space to relax with multiple beaches and pools. The towels in the room were thin, and you must bring your hotel room towels to the pool. Daily cleaning service began a little early for me (8:30 am). The hotel is great for the price I paid considering it is on Disney property, but I missed a few luxuries that can be found at other Disney hotels(such as a spa and room service). A great option for families on a budget...

Convenient to buses for Disney parks. Bus service needsd to put more buses on at peak hours. We got an adjoining room to our son and daughter-in-law's room without even requesting which was perfect. Grounds and pools are beautiful. Restaurants offer a nice variety of food choices. People at check in were extremely nice and friendly. The only problem encountered was that although a crib had been requested for our son's room it was not there at check in and it took more than an hour and a half to get it. Not good with a tired child. Room was pleasantly furnished and clean. the price we paid was good but would not pay full price. disney resort hotels are overpriced in general.

Our room was great for our family of 4. The staff was very accomodating to our requests, which was placed 1 week prior, we had ajoining rooms with friends and placement into Martinque building. The main pool and kiddie pool with pirate ship was awesome my kids loved it. The pictures of the hotels truly do not do it justice. Even the little beaches were so much better than I expected. Everything was much bigger than I thought. Disney did a great job. Disney reminds me of how customer service should be. I was thrilled to see they even have lifejackets at the pool area. This moderate level hotel far exceeds most high end hotels that I have visited for work because of the customer service, cleanniness, and pools (all 9 of them). Worth the great rate we got for!!!

This family hotel is spotless, and the rooms are rather spacious and clean. This is a FAMILY hotel only, for people going to the Disney parks. I was there for a convention, and I think the location couldn't have been worse! Apart from Disney, which is a 10min drive away, there is absolutely *nothing* around this hotel (and Orlando is 30 miles away). You're immersed in a 100% fake environment (again, very well maintained), with no city life around it whatsoever, no restaurants apart from a tacky food circle, no cafes, no real lobby. To move about within this complex, you have to either drive or take a shuttle bus. The place is dead at night. The heated pools are nice if you like to swim, though. Consider yourself warned: this a golden prison!

There were only two things that disappointed me about my stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort: 1) I had requested a king size bed but was put in a room with two full sized beds. This was not the most convenient size for me and my husband. 2) I am pregnant and had morning sickness on the day that we were supposed to check out. We called the desk and they were unable to give us an extended checkout time. We tried to negotiate with housekeeping for us to the be the last rooms in our section that they cleaned, but housekeeping kept knocking on the door every 5 minutes to ask us when we were going to leave and they kept the door propped open and kept coming in without knocking and turning on the light. My husband was trying to help them out by bringing them linens, stripping the beds, and cleaning up around the room so that they wouldn't have as much to do, but they still would not leave us alone even though by the time we left, they were not done cleaning rooms in our building. I just hated the insensitivity that was shown because I was feeling really bad and couldn't stop throwing up and would have been very appreciative if they had just let me lay there for a second until it all passed. Instead, we left and as we were driving down the road, my husband had to pull over on the side of the road multiple times so that I could throw up. No pun intended, but that sort of treatment left a bad taste in my mouth. :(

The Caribbean Beach is a "on the property" hotel and therefore serviced by Disney transportation network (no charge for guests). That's the best part of staying here. Rates drew us for a brief fortnight to attend the Food & Wine Epcot show. Razor thin towels, funky odors, and well-worn furnishings await - and that was in the "renovated" section!! If you can afford the upgrade to another section (Yacht Club, Swan, etc.)don't even consider, otherwise it's tolerable for a quick Disney family trip. Cafeteria dining and plenty of pools on site.
