This was a business trip. It was necessary to stay in that area or would never have paid the over inflated price. Bathroom was so small had to close the door to get into shower.

Area was close to PNC park and a nice walk. Bathroom was small, and cleaning of room/making the bed was non-existent. We were out all day walking around, came back to room at 3:30pm and the room was not cleaned, bed not made up, etc. After calling downstairs we were told they are still working, this is an UNACCEPTABLE answer. You make the room up for current guests, and you can clean the rooms of those that checked out afterwards. You dont tell your guests you can't expect your room to be cleaned by 3:30 in the afternoon, because our staff works until later on (4/5 pm). REALLY?!?

We booked this hotel to be next to the Consol Energy Center. The location was perfect, hotel staff very friendly and eager to help, breakfast was delicious and abundant, the room is quiet and clean, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I am perfectly fine recommending this hotel.

The hotel was great and the front desk staff was really friendly. My only complaint is that the valets smoked so much while they were wating for cars to psrk that when they got my car for me, it smelled like smoke when i got in. Their smell was awfyl.

You can ride the T for free in downtown Pittsburgh, and the station is a short walk away. If you have more time, a walk to downtown areas such as point state park is about 20 minutes and really convenient. I had no trouble with the hotel staff who seemed friendly and helpful when I asked for assistance. The room was very clean and large, but the bathroom is small but no real complaints.

First time at the hotel. It was a very good experience. The front desk staff worked with me to optimize my rate. Another employee personally walked me to the subway station to be sure that I found it. Overall, customer service reminded more of an Asian hotel than a US hotel.

Attended a Pirates/Red Sox game. Hotel was very nice, concierge was really helpful in showing us how to navigate our way to the Warhol museum and to PNC park. Would defintely stay here again.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The location was also very good. The restaurant and bar were good. The WiFi was horrible (even their Hi-Speed), albeit they refunded me the money. The gym was small but it worked. They had a sauna and a decent indoor pool. The hotel has areas that are outdated but they do best with what they have. I'd stay here again if I couldn't get into a more updated hotel. Overall 3.5 stars.

there is road construction on one side of the building with a 24/7 permit. For the next month, that side of the hotel is not for light sleepers. Staff is very attentive and respectful of the situation, but best to tell them ahead if you need a room away from the road crews.

Everything was great; the only thing was the hotel billed my credit card for valet parking that I did not use. The front desk took the charges off without a hassle. I would not have mentioned this but I stayed at a Marriott in Columbus, Ohio and was charged for a movie we did not watch, I know these are petty but watch your bill.

Visited on a birthday weekend. Impressed with the service- manager Amy Jo ensured we had a great room and even remembered it was my birthday! The doorman walked me to the subway station so I would not get lost. The breakfast was a feast, not the pathetic anemic buffet we have all gotten used to. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location and staff was fantastic. I just expected a more updated hotel with a nicer room. The room felt like I was staying at the Holiday Inn instead of the Marriott. Would stay there again but understand what I'm getting next time around.

We had a great time since we were going to a concert and had never been to Pittsburgh before. This hotel is directly across the street from the arena for concerts, hockey, and other activities.The employees are very trustworthy and immediately got on a request we made regarding the A/C. Only one in house restaurant with limited menu. Many restaurants and some shopping are within walking distance. Cabs are not convenient but a car service is and very competitvely priced. They are very willing to take you anywhere and are full of local knowledge and suggestions. We definitely will be staying here again.

Stayed for the fourth of july. The hotel was in a great location right next to where the pens play and a $10 cab ride from shady side. They had free popcorn and lemonade for the 4th celebration and was overall a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun night in the burgh.

The hotel was nice enough. The 3 pm check in is a mad house,and the elevators are very slow- so bring your patience. The staff was very nice, especially the servers who worked breakfast! They were the most pleasant & friendly bunch of people who were happy to chat and offer some insider information on the local sites. The breakfast buffet was very nice, great variety and included a made to order omelett & waffle station. (the omlette/ Waffle lady was fantastic!) The stay was nice, but the room was a little pricey for what you received. I have had similar experiences (staff, cleanliness, room, etc) in other hotels that cost much less a night. This hotel is about a 15 minute walk to PNC park, this hotel does not offer a shuttle service to local sites (not sure about an airport), but we found the walk to be comfortable. Parking was not included in the price- It was $18 for 24 hours (park yourself) or $26 for valet. Not a lot of money, but still good to know. If you are a hockey fan, this hotel is directly across the street from the Penguins venue. Overall, the hotel was nice and comfortable. I don't know if we would stay here again- For the money spent, we would much rather be closer to the ball parks.

We were only there for one night but I thought the staff was great! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed there to go the Pirates game at Pnc Park and we were able to walk to it like we planned.The hotel was just right for our plans and I would stay there again!

There is no free parking at this hotel. It is a minimum charge of $18 per day. The staff tried to justified it by saying the garage was a separate company. At a minimum this should be disclosed on your web site and Marriott's.

Just stayed 1 night but it was a great hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. My room was very clean with a great view toward the north of Pittsburgh. Room quiet with good amenities. Mangement must be good because you can tell the staff enjoys working there.

Great room - clean and very comfortable - front desk staff wa very accommodating (although he neglected to ask if I was a marriott rewards member and when I tried to apply it afterwards was told I couldn't . Bell staff also helpful in finding cans - they don't seem to be dependable I. Pittsburgh - hotel does have a shuttle but not to airport. Food in restaurant was not good.

Although the hotel was clean and staff were friendly enough, for the price I expected a bit more. The hotel failed to tell me about the $22 a day parking, even though I called and asking about parking before hand. Also, the refrigerator in our room did not work which was a problem for my grandfather that need to keep medication cold. The area surrounding the hotel is very run down I did not feel safe leaving the hotel at night. Also the restaurant is closed on Sunday, which was a big inconvenience.

We are Marriott Rewards members and business travelers. We stayed at this hotel recently during an important trade show. The internet in the room did not work the entire time we were there. There is a "free" option for slow internet and a "pay" option for decent internet. As rewards members we should have been able to get the decent internet option at no charge. However - we couldn't even get the slow/free internet - or the fast - as we kept getting error messages. The front desk referred us to an offsite internet team who were no help, and said that the hotel was having issues. Sometimes the offsite help - listed as 24/7 support - didn't answer our calls. When we told the front desk that we had never had this issue at any other Marriott, they said that this Marriott was a franchise, and that is why the service wouldn't be the same. So in a nutshell - if you are a business traveler to Pittsburgh needing internet in your room to actually work while you are staying there, then the Marriott City Center hotel is NOT going to be a good hotel for you.
