"best baseball stay"
took amtrak to SF. The thruway bus dropped us off at the ferry building, right across the street from Hyatt. We checked in and then walked to Coit tower. Next morning, we had breakfast in the magnificent lobby and then walked to the Giants game. What a wonderful way to get out of the car and relax.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was perfect in every way except there was no pool. Really disappointed there was no pool or hot tub at the hotel. Otherwise everything was excellentGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"trip of a lifetime"
My family stayed in a 9th floor suite and an adjoining room. The rooms looked out on the bay bridge and the PG&E building. Weather was beautiful. We watched the light show on the bridge that evening and the super moon. They walked down to the Giants game the next day. We traveled to and from SF on Amtrak. We didn't have to mess with trying to park. […] Great trip! Try it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Walking distance to AT&T Park"
The Hotel was great, seemed more like a business-type hotel. Close to transportation. Not happy that you had to pay for wi-fi. No complimentary breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel but on a noisy street"
The hotel is fancy both from the outside and the inside. It is located conveniently near Pier 1 and the F train that takes you to Pier 39 (if you walk it is about 20-25 minutes walk to Pier 39). Everything went well with our stay, but I want to mention that if you get a room on the Market St. side, you will have street noises all day and night, and […] we were on the 7th floor! Also, the hotel has a huge inside space, which is very fancy, but is prone to echo. One night there was a wedding there (or at least some preparation for a wedding) and people were shouting, and you could hear it in every room. But other than those noise issues, a good hotel. "not so pleased"
it only looked good in the picture. it was a blah when i went in. nothing spectacular. the worst part about it was the construction. so loud and noisy. jackhammer was my alarm! with my luck, our room was right next to the construction site- that was our view. i guess that was supposed to be the city view. with my luck, which up to now i still don't […] understand how they decide on assigning rooms, we were placed on a lower floor. bathroom was tiny. expensive parking fee but i guess that's how it is in SF anyway. i should've just stayed somewhere else- of course, that was after the fact. "Nice hotel with friendly staff"
The concierge helped coordinate massage therapists to come to the hotel for my husband and I. The location was convenient to where we needed to be the next day but the area does seem to close down early so late night eats were limited. The restaurant that they recommended was delicious, though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place to stay"
The room was nice and clean. The bed was hard as a rock. It was very uncomfortable. Besides that it was a good location and most of the staff were friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only negative would be that the beds are double's and not queens in the standard rooms- still a comfortable bed though. Other than that everything was wonderful, extremely clean, helpful staff, and we got a very reasonable rate through hotels.com. It was a perfect home base for doing the tourist stuff. Loved being so close to the Ferry Building […] and Embarcedero. Its was super convenient to jump on MUNI, Cable Car, and BART. We were very glad we stayed here and not in Fisherman's Warf or Union Square where it was mobbed with tourists. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Here We Go Giants!"
Excellent choice. Not familiar w/surrounding area so close proximity to light rail and Embarcadero Blvd location made it all very accessible. Especially for the SF Giants game we attended. Awesome all the way around.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Hyatt Regency San Francisco Thank you so much for your review! Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and had a great time at the SF Giants game! Hope to see you come back and visit us again soon!
Was a a great location but for the price I figured wi Fi would be complimentary but not here and I thought the parking was a little pricey but it was safe from the panhandlers in the neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely View if you Can REALLY SEE it"
My second time, and it makes me appreciate my first room Even More! This room was an upgrade, they said (to one with a balcony), but it did not do the view justice. However, it WAS better than no Bay view at all (which is what I requested). A sniggly complaint: no food available past 11 pm when we arrived. Bar was open, but no bar food either. So we […] phoned for Italian food (pamphlet the hotel provided) and it was mediocre at best: the lasagna thin, and they gave us the wrong salad dressings, altho' we specified two others. (No-fat "Italian" anyone?) The next day, late morning, we had a good Scrambled Egg/Bacon on Grilled Sourdough sandwich in the Eclipse Lounge/Restaurant, as I was able to then use the wi-fi for free. I did have complaints about our Bathroom, which the woman on check out was so-so on taking my comments: water easily comes out of both sides of shower, needing us to use two of the precious bath towels to mop up, no extra toilet paper at all, nothing in the shower to hold on to (oh, then "you need to ask for a wheelchair accessible room" -- ah, NO, it needs to be more universally safe in the tub-shower combo). And the long-standing -- no towels rods, and they expect us to re-use towels that won't get dry? Generally a very nice hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"tried to plan ahead"
Hi, We chose the hotel due to its location and spectacular views if you are on the right side of the hotel. We had a super noisy room the first night, handicap, and then requested we move. The new room caused us to need to pack our stuff, and move. I had requested all the details in the reservation for what we hoped we could get in regards to our room […] but it was obvious that the notes were ignored. The little details but reasonable requests are something I feel is very reasonable to ask considering how much it costs to stay in the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Solid business hotel close to financial district"
I stay here frequently. The staff is friendly. all the necessary bells and whistles for a business trip. Convenient to the financial district. The restaurant is below par, however. Convenient to the water front which is nice for a relaxing walk in the evening.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect place to stay while in SFO"
Hotel was very clean, comfortable and located in a great place. We will stay there again next time we are in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were given a room on the 17th floor with a fantastic view of the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building. Many small amenities that add up in the room: Small chaise couch, Starbucks coffee, fridge, ear plugs, iPad/iphone docking station docking etc. Highly recommended!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Centrally located modern hotel"
Nice centrally located hotel. Gorgeous lobby. The location was close enough to my meeting the next day that I was able to walk there and there were plenty of stores in the area. I spent a good amount of time the lobby doing work after I checked out and the internet worked well both there and in the room. The inroom dining was quick and really tasty. "Best Stay EVER"
My wife and I have stayed in more than 15 hotels in the San Francisco area and we thought the Hilton in the financial district was the best, but they are not in comparison to my stay at the Hayat. By far the best stay I have ever had in the city and when I return I will only be returning to the Hayet. BEST Stay EVER.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Hyatt Regency San Francisco Wow! Thanks so much for the 5-star review! It is always lovely to hear such great compliments from our guests! We truly appreciate your kind words and can't wait to welcoming you back in the near future!
A very nice hotel and great accommodations, however, the charge for parking is outrageous! I'm sorry but hotel guests should not have to pay for parking at all but if you are going to charge, it should be a nominal fee not $33.00 a day!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is exquisite. Great view of the pier. Walk to everything...have to mention parking was $64...first time I ever payed over 50 and we know the deal in the city. Hope this is not the new city trendGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"good but little bit expensive"
Good and quite hotel in SFO center. Clean rooms and good service. Parking twice as expensive as Embacadero center across the street. Rooms are ok but not really exciting. "Don't Forget Your Fortune Cookie!"
From the moment we stepped off the BART and saw our hotel directly above us, the trip could not have gone better. There is a little construction around but it doesn't take away from the experience. We took our teenage son, and between the Ferry Building and the Regency Club (well worth it) we never went too long without snacks or amazing views. Transportation […] was a breeze due to the location, and the helpfulness of the concierge with directions. We had never been to SF, but the Embarcadero turned out to be one of our favorite areas! The hotel staff was fantastic, and the rooms were lovely. They're slightly smaller than we're used to, but we live in a city without much restraint so it's understandable. Overall excellent hotel experience! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stuck in an adjoining room. Could hear everything happening next door. Noisy neighbors. Maid knocked. Didn't wait for reply and entered room. Asked if I wanted the room serviced. I said yes, left room for an hour. Room not even started when I came back. Complained to housekeeping supervisor. He was disinterested and rude. Didn't care if I was inconvenienced. Complained […] to guest services. All I got was excuses. The room was ultimately cleaned 2.5 hrs later. This is BAD customer service. Don't make promises you don't intend to keep. Don't be rude when your customers get annoyed at your bad service. Don't inconvenience your customers if you don't want them to complain. If you want us to have lower expectations of service. Don't charge so much. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, beautiful hotel!"
Great, convenient place to stay in SF! We were upgraded upon check-in and had a beautiful room overlooking the Bay. They have nice little amenities to drown out the street noise, such as ear plugs and a sound soothing machine. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. I loved the hotel decor as well. Will definitely be back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location but not thrilled with the service"
The city was great - the location could not be better. The two disappointments we had - one of which shouldn't have happened was with regard to the room selection. We were a family of 3 - specifically paid the little extra to confirm we would have the two double beds with the bay view. We arrived at 9 p.m. local time (midnight our time) and were told […] they were so busy they just didn't have any rooms with two double beds and instead were giving us a king size with a bay view (and expecting us to be grateful that they were giving us that). After a few minutes of discussion she apologized - said that was the best they could do - but that the next day they would upgrade us to a room better suited for us. The next day, after a good bit of sightseeing etc., we went to the desk - explained what had happened and what we were promised. After about 15 minutes and a lot of discussion with a manager, we were given a room with the two double beds - view nowhere near as nice - and again, it was presented in such a way that they wanted us to recognize they were really doing us a favor. Some favor. My other complaint was the noise - but in reality that was beyond the control of the Hyatt. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Sleeping in the board room..."
Wow. Given the location and the price of this hotel, one might expect some touch of class or elegance. We were sadly disappointed with the "office like" decor with all the warmth and charm of sleeping in a relative's day office on vacation. I don't think we will be back...Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall our stay was perfect as we stayed over after attending the Giants game earlier that day. The room was adequate, my wife noticed dust on the lamp and the wallpaper in the bathroom was antiquated and slightly frayed. The hotel looks dated as well as the rooms. We did not have any food or drink as we went out for all meals. The valet was great […] and the doorman was very helpful. The service staff was great and friendly. We felt safe in the area and did walk back Saturday evening after dinner. I would stay here again as it is close to ATT Park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Ferry Building"
Loved how close it was to ferry building. I liked all aspects of the hotel EXCEPT an annoying housekeeper who knocked on our door at 9 am to ask us when we were planning to leave! We told him we don't know, not likely before check out. He was very pushy for an exact time. I've paid for the room, leave me the heck alone, I'll leave when I feel like it!! "Average stay with a couple of bumps"
When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a waterfront view which turned out to be code for we don't have a room with a king size bed you reserved and prepaid for. We hope you like the 2 full size beds. The next bump was we returned back to our room after a full day of sight seeing to find the room was not made with morning towels still on […] the floor and the bed still not made. These were BAU tasks that I thought Hyatt would have been able to handle. Fortunately, the rest of the stay was smooth sailing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
