I had the buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was mostly awful. The coffee was excellent. The granola was good. The eggs and corned beef hash were tepid and dried out. The french toast was inedible. I would have done better to order off the menu, but didn't want to wait around for service. Parking is outrageous - $60/day. Wifi is extra.

The atrium impressed me as I walked to check-in. Dangling lights (double quantity due to the holiday season) really add some awe to the massive space. I found my room to be spacious, with a nice view of the Ferry Building, including a door wall that opens for better viewing/fresh air. The bathroom is a bit snug, but the shower head was nice and high, […] the water pressure was great, and the water could get nice and hot quickly. Drinks and apps at the hotel bar were nice, and the ambiance of looking into the atrium is a great touch. The location is great. I stayed for one evening on business at the hotel and I have to say they really go out of their way to ensure your stay is memorable. From check in to check out you are treated like royalty! The only reason I didn't rate give a top overall rating is because it is expensive!! Over $60 for valet(including tip) $22 for express dry cleaning(for 1 suit!). […] $30 for the breakfast buffet(including tip) an drinks at the bar were good and sting, but spendy! All in all I will recommend the Hyatt over and over again, because it is a top notch establishment, but be prepared to pay for it! Read more

We stayed at the Regency Club at the Hyatt--well worth the extra money over standard hotel room prices! We were on a much higher floor, but the Regency Club gave us access to even better 360 degree city views--and tons of extras. Our own very friendly, well informed concierge (Larry--extremely helpful and personable), plenty of snacks, meals, and drinks […] in the Regency Club were included or were a minimal cost (for liquor--at most half price for the area). We are planning all of our future vacations be at Hyatts with Regency Clubs after our very favorable experience here! The room was a bit smaller than other hotels, but the Regency Club made it worth it (hotel room was very nicely designed and loved the bathroom--great lighting for a change). Larry was a gem! It was at most a three star hotel for four hundred dollars and sixty dollars for valet. The faucets were not working correctly. The bathroom was old and wallpaper dingy. Our room was next to the ice skating which we were told that music would be playing until 10pm. However, the hotel neglected to mention that we could hear every word plus the loud speaker […] with announcer. I think they should have been more considerate. I could not believe this hotel recieved such a high rating! If you want to stay in the Embarcadero, I suppose this would be a good option, however, the rooms are small & feel crowded. This would not be so bad if it had been clean! The bed looked as if the sheets had not been changed, and the bathroom was dirty, with mold in the tub! The staff was friendly, […] but the service was slooow despite only seeing a handful of other guests. Overnite parking fees of $50.00 not mentioned in reservation. Room service food mediocre. We enjoyed the location of the hotel and LOVED the decor for Christmas We stayed in this same hotel well over 20 years ago when there was nothing more than the Ferry building around the area The hotel never felt old or tired.My only suggestion would be to improve on the water pressure and temperature of the water in the bathrooms

Great location. Right across from the ferry building. You are close enough to walk to chinatown, downtown, or union square. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Concierge was able to book us at a great restaurant after our show. They are setting up their holiday decorations. The lights are beautiful . We loved our stay.

They charged us extra for Bayview room but when we went there you have to stand in the balcony or only from one corner of the room you could see the "Bayview". When we checked in we opted for a bay view room for a $30 premium. The room's safe was missing - where it had been was quite obvious. A phone call to the desk got us moved two doors away to another bay view room with a safe. When my wife tried to open the sliding glass door to the view, it fell out of the tracks. Another phone call got the head of maintenance […] right up to the room but he diagnosed the problem as too serious to fix in a reasonable time so he called for another change of room but he though an upgrade was called for. A bellman was sent up to move us to a bay view room with a walkout patio on a "Regency Club" floor that included full membership for the three days we would be staying. This included a lavish breakfast buffet, all imaginable drinks and snacks all day, serious pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres and an honor bar. It's located in the circular glass-walled room on the top of the property. It was lovely and we fully appreciated the hotel's eagerness to make up for the problems. They definitely succeeded! We have stayed there many times but this was the first time there were any problems and they certainly did well by us. Read more

The staff would bend over backward to do things for you. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and loved every minute of it. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The hotel is nice but a bit outdated. The room was cold no matter how the thermostat was adjusted. Considering how high the room rate was, there should have been free internet but it was extra - a lot extra, and so was parking. The overnight parking charge was the highest I have ever seen in any city, any where.

Stains in the carpeting were a little disappointing, but the bed was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is older, so it is entitled to have a few minor issues. Overall, the room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the location and the staff. I would visit again.

For the price, I was very disappointed that guests must pay for internet access and that not even a simple, continental breakfast was included. Next visit we will go back to our "go-to" hotel near Union Square.

Typical high quality you would expect from a Hyatt. It is close to the BART for easy access to/from the airport. Being in the next to the Embarkadero shopping center, there are many shops and restaurants nearby. We stayed at the Hyatt for just one night. The hotel located in the Financial district, a few blocks away from the most tourist areas. We actually prefer this way. We were there for the weekend and we really enjoyed the empty streets. The room is large for SF standards but the bathroom is relatively small. There are plenty of power outlets so you can […] always find one to recharge you gadgets. The hotel seems well maintained (but a little dated). The light decoration pending from the roof in the lobby is very nice. The bar in the lobby is good but we wanted to go to the Regency Club on the rooftop. However, we arrived too late. They informed us that it closes at 9:00pm and also you need to make reservations. This is not a budget hotel at all but if you want to stay in a good hotel in SF there are no cheap options. You can find low-cost hotels in the nearby cities for a lot less but then you have to drive back to SF what may take around 30 minutes depending on where you stay. Read more
