Great deal on Hotels.com but the hotel does not follow through with it's offers. I was supposed to receive a $50 hotel credit on my folio, but no one at the fRont Desk had record of it. I had to call the 800 number after my stay to try to resolve the issue, even though it says on my print out I should get it. Don't bother calling the HYatt because they direct you back to Hotels.com. I also opted to pay an additional 420 for a room with a view but did not I did not recive it. Again, I called Hyatt and they said they new nothing about it. I had to contact Hotels.com.

I live in the suburbs and was staying down town for a holiday party. When I pulled up, the valet guys were very busy, and no one helped me until I was walking in, loaded up with my purse, computer bag, duffel bag and things on hangers. The person who checked me in, did not ask me if I needed any help, and on my way (up an escalator) only one person asked me if I needed help. I was almost there, so I said no. And I was a bit mad. Also, the tub backed up considerably.

Reviewed by Janet of Chicago on Nov 28, 2009
We reserved a room at the last minute to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Overall, we had a great time and the room was comfortable with a nice view across the Chicago River. However, there were a couple surprises. 1)We planned on dining at Stetsons the steak and seafood restaurant located within the hotel. Unfortunately, it was not open that evening - the hotel clerk was quick to recommend some other nearby restaurants. 2)We chose the room with access to the Regency Club which has been temporarily relocated to a guest room on the 31st floor of the East Tower. In the evening it was very loud as at least 10 kids were playing cards, on the internet, and running around. Not the romantic atmosphere we wanted. The continental breakfast the following morning was more reserved as we expected. 3)Our room rate included parking. However, we were charged $48 for parking. I spoke to the desk clerk, who spoke to the Manager, and the charge was removed without delay. So, a beautiful hotel, very comfortable, make dinner reservations in advance, skip the Regency Club, and review your bill before check-out.

the hotel was right on Michigan Ave,which was a big reason for choosing it. I did ask to be in the East tower and they ended putting us in the West tower instead. The room was still nice, a little dark and small, but it was perfect for just my husband and I. The bathroom was just right for us. We were on the 29th floor and it was a nice view of the river and partial of the lake and Navy Pier. Very relaxing. I would come again if it was just the two of us. If you can get a rate that includes the Regency Club on the top floor, do it. It saved us soo much money for breakfast and dessert at night! It was very nice!

We checked in early and got a complimentary upgrade because of that, which was spectacular. Every employee there was beyond polite and we were always greeted. The only downfall was the room service, they took extremely long to bring whatever it was we needed, BUT it's a big hotel, so that's understandable. Have stayed there twice now and will definitely be staying there again. It's also within walking distance from the train station and just a block from Michigan Ave.

The extra's were a little pricey. I wouldn't recommend taking anything from the room refrigerator or spending too much time at the Big Bar downstairs based on the cost. Instead head to Daddy O's in the west tower or any of MANY places within walking distance to the hotel. Couldn't beat the location and the price/added upgrade to the Regency Club provided by Hotels.com was great as well!

I called the front desk and to make a long story short they put me up in one of their deluxe suites, what a difference a room makes, slept like the baby should have been sleeping from the prior room.
