"Perfect for Business On New York's East Side"
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great views of East River and UNGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great View, Good Service, Dated Hotel"
The Positive - For the price, this was a good deal and a nice place to stay. They upgraded our room to a suit for free and the view was exceptional. The service was good and we would stay again if the price was right. The Negative - The hotel is dated. Which may or may not bother you. Our room came without an ice bucket and it took a while to track […] one down. The pull out couch for our kids came without sheets and pillows and it took an hour to get them to our room. At 10 PM when everyone is tired... no fun. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was a great size for a NYC hotel. The view was amazing. The rooms were a bit outdated and simple but for the price and location to what I needed it was great. I requested to change rooms because the first one I was given smelled bad and it was no problem at all. I got great service from the front desk for any request.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice business hotel"
Stayed there for a work trip for the US gvt, as lodging fees were only $12 above per diem and $110 cheaper than at the hotel within walking distance where the conference was being held. The quality of the bedding and towels were superior. Great view! My only suggestion is that the bathtub be updated/cleaned up. Also the water pressure was very low-- […] but may that was a mandatory environmental requirement, so it is probably not the same at other hotels. Would stay there again. "To long of a wait"

Great hotel great price. The view from my room was amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to the UN"
I have nothing significant to add other that tha hotel staff (front desk) were not courteous and client oriented.Genuine Expedia guest review
Felt very upscale without the upscale price, excellent views of Manhattan, perfect location for walking to all sorts of major attractions and areas of interest, restaurants, etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't believe everything you read on their website"
The site says they offer massage services, but they don't. It took three separate emails/phone calls on my part to find this out. They charge you for Wi-Fi, in weekly increments, so it's a lot of money, if you stay in the east tower, but not if you are in the west tower. The hot water wasn't hot enough for a decent bath. There were garbage and crumbs […] in the drawers in the room. The glass in the bathroom counter was cracked. The pool and locker room were nice. The view was pretty great. "Great view, but rooms are "TIRED" to say the least"
The girl at check-in was great. Housekeeping was great. The views are great. Pool water is perfect. Sauna is hot. Fitness center is adequate. However, the room itself is dated. Needs updating. And the window coverings, unlike every other hotel I've ever stayed in, do not block out the light completely, which sucks if you try to take a nap. I understand […] the west tower was recently updated, but you must pay $60 / night more to stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Millenium One United Nation Hotel"
The hotel was conveniently located on East 42 between 1st and 2nd. It was a little confusing where the location was at first, but it was still easy finding the place. We had booked two separate rooms each with two separate beds. The hotel gives you a great sense of security with the Police K9 at the lobby all the time. Seeing the dog every morning made […] my day. The door staff are always attentive to your needs and there are always cabs outside the hotel which made our stay that much easier. The window views are terrific! and the rooms are very comfortable. We will definitely be returning! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"All the elements and but lack of service"
Although the check in and out was efficient. The room was a bit dated. The wi-fii was not included in the hotel rooms. There were no movies on demand, no minibar and no coffee pot. The concierge desk did not answer the phone. Room service would not leave the food in the front of the door unless someone signed for it.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal hotel for UN staffers"
Pleasant and friendly staff. Close to all landmarks and good restaurantsGenuine Expedia guest review
I was staying at the hotel before an event I had scheduled with the UN. Although the location was perfect (just across the street), the offerings were less than desirable. For example, I needed to make photocopies for my event. The "Business Center" was nothing more than three machines tucked away in the corner of the restaurant near the bar, and an […] automated system that required cash. Not very business friendly at all. Thank goodness I was able to have a colleague print out the necessary documents for me at their office. I guess diplomats don't make photocopies? Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient to the UN"
Very accommodating hotel with very large comfortable rooms. Could use a more extensive coffee shop in the hotel but there are options close by. Would stay there again if I have business at the UN.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Central convenient ,easy access to airport"
Large room ,plenty of heat employees courteous and helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
Excellent room and view!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a leisure trip, discounts can make it very attractive. Don't count on anything else free though (wifi, breakfast...), which are business type costly. If you are careful that's an excellent alternative to better placed but smaller room hotels. Our view (corner room) had the most gorgeous view I had in any NYC hotel I have been (from freedom tower […] to central park). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good View from room And Friendly Staffs."
It was nice staying:) Location is middle of downtown. The room is very clean!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Perfect location, amazing view, near to a lot of local restaurants. The room didn't have a refrigerator which was a little inconvenient, but otherwise the stay was good!!Genuine Expedia guest review
was great however the bed was not as great as expected. the entrance to room and room was small. the ceiling and door have a cheap look to themGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Conveniently at the UN, but charges wifi/device"
A clean and friendly hotel at the UN with a great cofffee shop on the groundfloor. Spacious sitting area for infomal talks. Put-off: the wifi charges per device. Ground staff helpful and great in getting you a taxi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"NYC weekend stay"
Great hotel and staff, very quiet over weekend, complimentary breakfast and continuous snacks well worth the extra money for a family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel - sparse but functional and clean rooms"
Bathrooms could be modernized (some cracked tiles, leaking faucets), and both visits room remote did not work though desk sent replacement quickly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"really good stay, really good place"
great staff! Clean room. Killer view from 33rd floor. Nice cafe. Ambassador Grille didn't even try: Too expensive! continental breakfast: $21 bucks for bagel and yogurt? Come on.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Weekend at ONE UN"
We had a great time. The hotel employees were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, we arrived early and were given an upgrade right away without an additional charge! The room was very nice and the view was spectacular! Fresh fruit awaited us and complimentary coffee was delivered shortly after we got into our room. At the end of the day we […] enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge and retired to a very comfortable bed. All in all it was a great experience and we will be back to stay again! "Great location, but hotel furnishings are shabby."
Good - across from UN Bad - sofa in room was falling apart. They put new pillows on it to camoflauge it. Whole room was that way. Walls were beat up, but bed looked nice. Dust- Grime all over the extension cord. Need to bring your own extension cord if you want to plug in by bed. Pool is great concept, but ceiling is a disaster. They covered it by hanging […] fabric over the ceiling. Don't look close at anything' Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No bath-tub in West wing"
West wing was updated nicely w modern concept, but no bath-tub , so disappointed, so stayed East wing for 13days. West wing was remodeled by French designer, employee said, East wing will be updated very soon. Please remodel with nice bath-tub this time, this is USA not Frence! Convenient location for everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"maid staff was worse than motel 6"
I enjoyed all of this hotel except the maid service. It was so bad that I dont even know where to start. If you know you need cleaning and call to ask it have done it should happen. For this kind of money I could have stayed at motel 6 three times as long and at least had my bed maid and fresh towels and maybe even clean cups. Otherwise all the people […] were nice as they should be and the hotel had a nice view of the east river. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice experience. Great front desk-very nice!"
Got upgraded to a 2 level suite. Very nice front desk. Hotel could use some updating. Rooms are a bit dated, but nice overall.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, old part of hotel is outdated"
The location of this hotel was ideal for my business at UNICEF, however the hotel itself was mediocre. The room was old and outdated, and not particularly clean. And internet was $12.95 per day per device! Guest services personnel were very helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel location in NYC -"
Hotel was great, staff superb, great lounge area & breakfast dining room. Perfectly a few blocks away from noisy Times Square area , near Rockerfeller Center. A corner store a half block up (to bring goodies back to room) and great Irish place (delicious food and great price) nearby.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Eh. Not great for a 4 star hotel."
I would expect a 4 star hotel to be in much better condition. I found the room dingy and in poor repair. The bathroom walls were scratched and stained with makeup (hopefully), the caulking in the tub was messy and looked dirty. The showerhead was mediocre at best. The carpet and walls were untidy at the edges, making it seem like someone did a shoddy […] job when they "remodeled" the room. The windows were dirty looking and old. The worst part was the heating unit. The unit was either on or off, there was no way to set it to turn on when the room was cold and off when it was warm. The constant rattling and blowing air was incredible disruptive. Several times I had to climb on a chair to adjust the vent cover so it would stop rattling. The main reason I chose this hotel was for the swimming pool, I was hoping to swim laps in the mornings and evenings. Unfortunately the hours of the pool made it impossible for me to use it even once. The pool doesn't open until 7 in the morning, isn't open at lunch time, and closed at either 6 or 7 in the evening each weeknight. Though my room was supposed to have a coffee maker, I had to ask for one to be sent up, and there was no where easy to plug it in. The service never refilled the coffee packets (I was there for 5 days) and I had to call to have it sent up each day. Finally, the ice machine was broken, so each night I had to ask for ice to be brought to my room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good for the business traveller"
The hotel is well suited to the business traveller but not so well suited for family leisure travel. The reception desk and bell service were excellent but the concierge service left a little to be desired. The Hotel Duty Manager very calmly, professionally and quickly managed feedback we provided over a concern and offered an excellent resolution.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to Times Square, Fifth Ave, and other tourist attractions. It's also has a convenient bus stop for public transportation and sight seeing tour across the street at the UN. The hotel is split into two towers, one which has a higher cost but offers breakfast and WiFi. The lower cost tower was […] nice and offerred a great skyline view, to include the Chrysler and Empire State buildings. The room was decent, poorly updated, but served it's purpose. The concierge resolved our transportation issues and questions, but made you feel like they were doing you a favor instead of a service. Ohh, don't ask for extra pillows, the response was not nice!! I did not like two things in the hotel. First there was no refrigerator in the room. I need to refrigerate a medication. I was frustrated I could not do so. Second the accounting of incidental expenses was extremely confusing and the cashier was unwilling to clarify the situation. I still do not know how much will be charged to my credit card.Genuine Expedia guest review
We reserved a corner room and paid a premium. When we checked in, we went up to our room to discover it was not a corner room. Back down to the front desk. Told the only corner rooms available are smoking BUT if we pay $80/ night more we could get a corner room in the West Tower that included other amenities (continental breakfast, Wi-Fi, etc.). We […] are tired and agree. Take the elevator to our new room and guess what? It is still NOT a corner room. Back down again. Finally get a corner room. Great views but noisy, more $ than we expected and the free breakfast is standing room only. This hotel has great views and is in a nice neighborhood but this experience means we will not be staying there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good experience"
The hotel staff was outstanding. They could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The hotel is a bit tired and could use some updating, but our room had a fabulous view of the East River and 1st Ave. The neighborhood is pleasant with plenty of eating and drinking establishments. For the price this hotel is hard to beat.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel for the price"
Nice hotel in Midtown East. It's a pretty big hotel, lots of rooms. My flight arrived at 9am and they let us check in early which was awesome. The rooms have a great view of the city but no mini bar or fridge. Seems like they cater to the business people that visit the UN right next door. We were happy with our stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Awesome hotel staff, great location. Only one critique--the room didn't have a coffee maker! We did call for one to be delivered, and they delivered it quickly, but did not refill the contents the following days of our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice hotel for a stay of a few days"
This is a beautiful hotel directly across the street from the United Nations. The hotel portion is on the top 12 floors, so the views are simply spectacular! The room was a bit sparse, with only a bed and sofa. It made watching TV or reading a bit awkward. The hotel was in very good condition, but there were telltale signs of neglect, like the ceiling […] coping in the shower, and the makeshift handle bolted onto the closet door. My biggest gripe, however, is that Internet service is a small fortune: $12.99 PER DEVICE! I simply used the private hotspot feature of my phone and avoided the fees altogether.
