I stayed on the West Tower and it was great!!!! I loved the location because it is close to Times Square but far enough to get a good quiet night's sleep. I must say the staff was excellent, I did have an issue with the concierge but that was just a small issue. She just seemed to be more into her phone then helping me but I just went & spoke to someone […] else. Let me say Justin who was at the counter when we checked in was EXCELLENT & so helpful. I explained to him that I came to New York at the last minute for my birthday & was looking for somewhere to go. Not even 10 minutes later my phone ring & he gave me a couple of places to go to. That was just one of the small acts of kindness we received from him. I also asked & received a late check-out, which was much needed after getting in at 6:30am. The room was great!!! Everything was very clean. The pillows & the bed were very comfortable. The view was AMAZING, we had two huge windows. I loved the fact you could control the heating in the bathroom. The room has a SmartRoom controller. I loved the big walk in shower. I am very picky about where I stay and this was actually a great experience. I don't know about the other towers but I know the West Tower was great!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not my cup of tea."
Almost worked as we hoped and/or was promised. Staff was unfriendly and took an enormous amount of time to check in. The room had a weird design (a long hallway communicating the bedroom and bathroom) and an unpleasant smell. There were no coffee maker in the room, despite the fact that I had been told there would be when I called a day before. The […] front desk said they could send one but after 5 (it was 2:30). The view was gorgeous although partially obstructed by a building. We decided to shorten our stay because we did not feel comfortable. Nothing was awful, but it was a vacation and the little things I mentioned count for us. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, outdated hotel."
The hotel itself is a bit outdated. The pool was disgusting. Rust lined the pool, the wall paint was peelings off. Stayed a total of 5 mins and walked out. The room looked like it was the only thing that has been updated in the last 5 years. I had a corner room and the view was great of the east river and the other side I could see the Empire State […] Building. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is very busy, but convenient. Just 4 blocks from grand central station. I would not recommend to stay here for a vacation type trip, maybe only if you have business to do in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"One UN Plaza"
Location was great, easy access to Grand Central and subway. Decent price for NYC. Room was clean and comfortable. Probably needs an upgrade. Staff was a little indifferent. Pool hours very limited. Wanted to go for swim at the end of the day found pool closed at 7pm.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not a 4 Star hotel. Maybe 2 stars"
The lobby is good but the hotel is divided in two parts. The east wing is maybe a 2 star hotel. There is no fridge nor a minibar in the room. Rooms are so old.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel with view of East River"
I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the room. It was a comfortable size - enough room for a king size bed, desk and couch and room to move comfortable around. There was a large walk-in closet with plenty of room to hang all of our clothing (we had most of clothes on our own hangers). There was a small safe in the closet to lock up your valuables […] if you wanted. The bathroom was a nice size too..!! The shower was a hand held shower that worked okay (I've had worst) but would have preferred a real showerhead. That was a small inconvenience to me. We had a great view of New York and the East River. I think most people would be very happy with this choice of hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
No complaints. Most of the hotel workers were very friendly. Room was nice and comfortable. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"QUIET SPOT...SECURE PLACE"
Excellent location away from noisy avenues. Close to metro stations for people that likes to walk. Room needs 1 extra mirror outside bathroom. You do not want to be bother because your partners needs to use the mirror inside bathroom.Genuine Expedia guest review
"luxury to its finest"
I had an amazing stay. We were upgraded to a huge two bedrooms suite with amazing views of the city. We were almost at the top floor which really made the stay even better and also the views. I definitely would stay there again and recommend it to others.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Dirty room with blood I can only imagine on floor . Not what web described at all. Never again millennium hotels.... Ever.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Hotel Super Friendly Staff"
Wonderfully friendly staff. Nice pool and locker rooms. Small but very nice workout area. Very comfortable beds. Would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for a cheaper Manhattan stay!"
Got a great deal on the room, spent half the price compared to other hotels in the city. Decent room but a great staff. Beware however, you're paying only for the room. Wi-fi was 15 dollars a night, breakfast is not complementary (18 per person for the cheap breakfast). Overall though for what you do pay it's a great deal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun in NYC"
I Travel to NY from SF once or twice a year and usually stay in a 4 star hotel. I chose the UN because it was July, they have a pool and a 4 star rating. This is not a 4 star hotel. The bed felt like a dorm room futon, the linens were scratchy and didn't seem to fit the bed properly, we had to repeatedly ask for coffee/tea set up housekeeping did not […] remove the dirty cups (we were told that was room services responsibility but they were gone for the night). Once during our 5 night stay housekeeping failed to show up at all. When we called room service for ice they sent up a wax coated paper popcorn bucket and told us we could get it ourselves the next time. By the end of our stay we had a stack of buckets next to the waste basket that housekeeping wouldn't take away because it was room services redponsibilty. It was nice having a pool in the July heat but it was well worn, the locker room had a very strong odor and twice there were no towels. Pool or no pool I can and have done much better than this for less money and closer to Grand Central Station. I don't imagine I will return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great for the most part"
I do wish there was free Wi-Fi. Liam at the front was great, though not everyone was helpful. Some were very condescending. The bell hops were great tooGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel has a great location near Grand Central. Staff was friendly and professional. Room had great view. One of the best hotel experiences I've had in Manhattan.Genuine Expedia guest review
"This place is outdated!"
As soon as you walk into the lobby you are walking into the past. Our first night there we attempted to eat at their restaurant, first table we sat at was broken, the next was... Not what's up and the seats were very very low, dark and red. Just not a welcoming environment for ratting. They have not taken good care of the rooms. Well the room we stayed […] in. The lighted mirror wasn't working. All the metal were rusted... The sofa looked stained... We did not have a coffee maker, alarms clock or a mini fridge. Shower was very small! This is what I can think of right now, sure I could have listed more if I was still there!!! We interacted with a few of the staff, the non-American (Russian) p.m. front desk lady was very rude and I would have told her about herself if my feet didn't hurt and wasn't wet from the rain. The gift shop lady did not greet me and was not helpful when I wanted to buy a few items there, she made no effort in making a sale. The night bell-man was very nice, I could see other hotel guested liked him and my interaction with him was very pleasant, wish I knew his name. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Got the 37th floor with view of the empire state building bvery comfortable and clean. Gym and pool on the 27th floor has excellent view of manhattan bridge and roosevelt island. Great place.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Safe and secure hotel"
It is a beautiful hotel and we felt safe since there is a trained dog in front 24 hours , 7 days sniffing every bag or mail or delivery. They check for explosives since diplomats and politicians stay in that hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location for the UN"
The location is excellent for UN meetings and the neighbourhood, but the rooms are quite old and they let you pay for the internet per device which is annoying. Otherwise it would have gotten one more star.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice spot with good views"
It was a nice hotel for my needs of being near a workshop I was producing, and my room had great views. The Hotel was great, they put my girlfriend and I in the new west tower. everything was brand new! we went there for 4th of july to watch the fireworks and well we got an amazing show of fireworks all over Queens. the only problem was the AC was not working in our room, but when i did call down they had someone come up and look at what was wrong. "Nice hotel with views of the East River"
This is a nicely appointed and located hotel with great views of the East River. The hotel room was reasonably sized (for New York) and comfortable. It is just showing a little of its age with a rather old fashioned bathroom and insufficient power outlets if you have both a cell phone and a laptop.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice location. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Within walking distance to Times Square and right across the street from the United Nations.Genuine Expedia guest review
We enjoyed our stay. It was in good walking distance to a variety of things and easy access to hop on hop off bus. Would suggest vending machines and pool open more hours. Thanks!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good hotel in NYC"
Spacious 2 beds with a GREAT view....37th fl. Breakfast room a bit pricey but excellent food & staff. Quiet bar (welcome after a busy day), pool, excellent staff and a very nearby store for saving money on coffee, tea, water, sandwiches etc. A refrigerator would have made this perfect as couldn't take leftovers home......not too close to theatres (a […] plus being not so noisy either).....but a decent walk to Rockerfeller Center & Bryant Park and great nearby window shopping on Fifth, Madison & Park Aves. "Loved it! Super nice place"
The hotel gave me a free upgrade for one night. I stayed 6 nights, and had a really nice view. Very clean, comfortable, great bathroom. I stayed in the new tower, and had free hors doervers every day and happy hour, plus a continental breakfast every day. It was so nice! I even got on the 30th floor, where the Skyline Lounge was. "The hotel room was too small like a motel."

"One UN New York"
I was able to stay at this hotel June 11TH, 2014 to June 15TH, 2014, and enjoyed the stay tremendously. The staff e.g. Justin who checked us in , Stephanie, who arranged the bus tours and especially Osilla, who arranged the transportation , they are an awesome group of people. The hotel rooms were clean and the view was spectacular. The hotel surveillance […] was great there were security agents with their dogs on constant watch. Also the hotel is in a excellent location there is just enough traffic to feel a New York experience. One can catch the subway on Lexington Street that takes you into Time Square in a few minutes. I will recommend this hotel to anyone they will love it. Thanks Justin, Stephanie, and especially Osilla for all your help. Josephine K. Curry Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great View, Nice Room, and Friendly Staff"
Everything was great except for one thing. Every room (at least on our floor) has about 2 or 3 inches of open space between the bottom of the door and the floor. You can hear absolutely everything outside, and anyone outside can hear and probably see what's going on in your room. This was uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this is some kind of security […] concern since the UN is next door. If you don't mind/care about that, then it is a great hotel. The view is fantastic during the day and at night. Grand Central is 2-3 blocks away, so you can easily take the subway to wherever you want to go. A lot of NYC attractions are in Midtown Manhattan, so this hotel is close enough for you to walk to a lot of places as well. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfy bed, great location, very plain"
I thought it was great for the money we spent. It's difficult to get a hotel in the middle of NYC for that price so although it was plainer than I'm used to I was satisfied overall. Thanks hotels.com.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Luxury in an unwelcoming atmosphere"
I ended up at ONE UN as a result of selecting Expedia's "Manhattan Hotels up to 40%" deal, which offers "Deep discounts on quality hotels," according to Expedia. When I arrived at ONE UN at a little after 3:00 pm, I was told that my room wasn't ready (official check-in time is 3:00 pm). I asked whether there was free WiFi in the lobby so that I could […] work while waiting. There wasn't. A half-hour later, I was given a room. Turned out to be a smoking room. Returned to the lobby and asked for a non-smoking room. The clerk acted as if she hadn't known that she'd given me a smoking room. Hard to believe. Upon check-out, I suggested that perhaps the hotel could wave the charge for Internet to compensate me for the half-hour I spent cooling my heels in their lobby while waiting for my room to be readied. The officious clerk said that she couldn't do that herself, but would speak with her manager when he returned. The charge was never rescinded. I can't say whether the off-putting reception I received was due to my status as an Expedia "bargain" customer, or whether all guests are treated that way. I suspect the former. The Room was a lot bigger than I had imagined and the view was beautiful. Hotel was located blocks away from all the major attractions. "Good Hotel, service needs improving!"
The hotel is conveniently located to most attractions in the city. I frequent NYC often so I am always trying new hotels. My biggest complaints deal with the cleanliness of the room and the hotel service. The bathroom had several long strands of hair in the shower, surely leftover from the previous guest. Also, during checkout there was only two people […] at the front desk. Be mindful, I checked out on Sunday morning, which is a popular check out time. There were about 15 guest in the lobby waiting to check out.. Also, when we checked in there was one person at the desk and no one readily available to bring our bags up. This was an "okay" hotel, lots of room for improvement. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good located hotel with urgent need of up-grading"
The only good thing of this hotel is the location and the size of the rooms; however, the carpets are in a dreadul state, the smell in the bedroom was not very appealing, half of the machines of the gym didn't work properly, and the rooms don't have a small fridge nor a kettle.
