"Very nice hotel."

This is a great place to stay if you're going to spend a lot of time on the Riverwalk. The Alamo is right across the street also. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The only thing is that you have to be prepared to pay for any extras. Nothing is included in the price of the room. I would stay here again, though. We had a great time!

Expensive. You are paying for location - right on heart of the River Walk and a block from the Alamo. Room was "ok"; nothing special. Food (breakfast buffet) was expensive and not even equivalent of a Holiday Inn's. Parking was outlandish - $35/night for self park. The Westin, further down the River Walk is hundreds times better.

We were afraid to touch anything in fear of being charged extra for it. You'd think with the price of a room they wouldn't worry about a bottle of water. They put the ice bucket behind the bottled water and I accidently bumped the water bottle trying to get the ice bucket and they tried to charge me $5.00 for the bumped water. You couldn't even put your own cokes in the fridge. The pool was very very small. My mother in law booked us this room for our wedding anniversary. Overall it was nice. THE LOCATION WAS FABULOUS.

We just returned from a long weekend stay. The hotel location was excellent since we were there specifically for the riverwalk experience. The "Alamo View" was quite interesting and pretty. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but workable. We were very pleased with our stay and will return someday. I must commend the hotel staff. Because of a misunderstanding about the parking charge, we paid twice. We called the hotel and reported the error. After faxing copies of our paperwork, the hotel credited our account within the hour. Very commendable!

We chose the Hyatt Regency because it was right on the riverwalk and because we got a great deal on the room. The front desk staff were absolutely incredible and they went above and beyond to accomodate us after a rough first night. Our first night at the hotel found us a little too warm in our room. There was not much flow from the air conditioner and when reporting it to maintenance, they tried to fix it by pushing a button on the computer. It didn't work, so we dealt with it. I went down to the front desk the next morning advised them that someone needed to go to the room and find out what the problem was. When we came back after several hours at Market Square, the staff told me that they needed us to change rooms. Our first room was on the interior hallway meaning that the window in our room overlooked an open space in the hotel--we did not have a view of outside. The second room had a view overlooking the Alamo and the city and was much cooler. Here's a hint. If choosing this hotel--if you like it warm, choose an interior hallway room. If you like it cooler, request a room that overlooks the Alamo or the Riverwalk. It was our first time in a very nice hotel and I was really impressed by the customer service. After our trip, I emailed the manager of the hotel and had a quick response. Great hotel!

We spent the weekend at the Hyatt. The location is great but we were not overly impressed with the room or service. We arrived late and didn't realize you were having to pay $25 to self park per night or $30 for valet. The lady at the front desk was not all that friendly or helpful. The first night we had the room temp at 68 and were still warm and the bed was very hard. Just not what I expected for a Hyatt.

We stayed for our anniversary, and the hotel was very nice and the staff was very courteous. The hotel has direct access to the Riverwalk, which was awesome. There is an ice cream and chocolate shop right downstairs. It was everything we expected. The only complaint is the parking, we had to pay per night to park in the garage across the street.
