This hotel is in great need of refresh. The staff was ok...effectively no valet service at 10pm...but my stay was too abbreviated to make a significant assessment. I would not pay the rates asked for this quality with much nicer facilities within walking distance.

Hotel was fine, though the sound from cars crossing the bridge outside was constant. However, as a business traveler, I was VERY disappointed in the quality of the WiFi in my room. I had to go to the lobby to get work done. Otherwise, clean, comfortable, and the staff was very nice.

Well without going into too much detail the hyatt charged me 3 room charges for a one night stay , when i went to front desk the staff was not helpfull at all, the manager jennifer showed no signs of trying to help me and afer over an hour of talking they finally decided to help me. Still waiting on my money from wells fargo because of there mess up. Would never ever go back!

Nice hotel, helpful staff. A/C was very noisy. Try to get a room on the upper floors. We were on the 5th floor and the street noise was loud at times. Lots of restaurants and things to do are within walking distance.

While the staff is very attentive, professional and friendly I was disappointed in my room. The Expedia photo shows all balcony rooms. There is a balcony for each room but they are sealed shut- with no outside access. My view was not of the city or the bay as described but of the huge ugly convention center roof top and parking deck. The mattress in my room was well worn out and dipped from age. It also states a short walk: 5 blocks to the Bayside Shopping area...it is through a very busy part of town and I did not feel safe walking to and from by myself. It was difficult to get a taxi from Bayside back to my hotel because of the short ride...... so I tipped an extra $5.00 so he would take me! Would not stay here for my next cruise out of Miami. I paid $300.00 for the night. I have stayed at better hotels with, views, with balcony and close to accommodations for less.

Great experience our boat picked us up at the dock behind hotel and we went to the boat show. I wouldn't have the hotel recommend the Oceanaire Restaurant it was horrible.... Our fish was over cooked everything even the steak was tasteless. No flavor... But everything at your restaurants were excellents..

Clean, friendly staff. Stayed here for a concert at James L Knight Center and it is very convenient. The only downside is the parking which is far from the hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel. The building and rooms are dated. And while they may be clean, it's difficult to tell because of the room and furniture's age. Worse, is the hotel service and noise. Room service did not clean the room during my stay, instead opting to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door to bypass. The building and rooms are exceedingly noisy. All you hear is street traffic and the rushing of elevators. If you need to stay in downtown Miami, do yourself a favor and pick another place.

wifi so slow it was unusable; decorations unbearable. Cocktail options could be improved. But a whole foods right across the street! I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there :)

Good location just a couple of blocks off S Biscayne Blvd; every hotel employee I saw had a smile and a welcoming comment. The 2 who were at the in-house Starbucks recognized me the 2nd morning and thereafter, greeting me with a smile. One late night after work, the bartender helped me find something good to eat that was gluten-free by conversing with the chef. All this and at a nightly rate substantially less than other hotels in the neighborhood!

Attended Dallas Mavericks game. It was a nice walk to the arena from the hotel. Enjoyed the river view. Dinner at the Capital Grill across the bridge--awesome.

Looks like the was Room last decorated or updated 30 years ago. Weird uncomfortable bathroom layout Also smelled like cigarettes. The hotel would not move me to another room. The overall experience felt like I was in ba rundown room.

First night was troubling people next door came at 4am and started a party we had to call 3 times front desk they sent security every time we called, but they didnt seem to care. in the morning we made a coment to one of the ladies in the hotel reception and there was no need to complain we just expressed what happen and she didnt even hessitated a second and she was offering how to compensate our bad night.. excelent service..

Staff is very friendly, courteous and proactive; that is the best asset of the hotel!. Rooms are dark and there is not enough lighting. Bathroom was a bit too small and no exhaust fan, which made the whole room very, very humid. Smell on the corridors, apparently from the river, or the humidity ??

The lobby was decently nice but the room was old, shabby, and the comforter on the bed was enclosed in two sheets instead of in a duvet cover. Bed comfortable enough. Rug old, everything should have been renovated two yesterdays ago....But staff was nice in trying to make up for it. BUT not all staff great -- one of the thin older bellcaps was sarcastically surly.

Great hotel close to a lot of activities. Would definitely go back. Only issue was I asked for extra towels and when they were delivered to the room the housekeeper knocked on the door and came straight in.

They had overbooked the hotel and we got a room without bed! That´s a nice welcome!! Hotel is quite old. Lobby is nice but the rooms are too old school. Anyway, hotel is quite ok for that price.

The rooms looked dated and the color scheme given the location somewhat drab.The lighting also dated.bathrooms dated,no hair dryer as I recall.The view from the room was overlooking the roof of the lobby. An idea Hyatt might consider is doing a rooftop garden of sorts so your guests are looking at something attractive.The sheets on the bed felt like sandpaper and pillows were not feather or even a good imitation.Breakfast was very good and service was great. I think the location of the property is great!

If planning to stay here, make sure there are no convention planned at the hotel. The hotel is located next to a convention center. This caused extended delays on the elevators and made the halls quite noisy.

This hotel should not have a Hyatt name on it. The lobby is ok, but old and need some modern updates or total redo. The rooms need total redo! We stayed several times in Hyatt properties and other nice hotels and I know how Hyatt hotels should be. The room are old. The furniture is outdated. Leaky toilet!.. The Bathroom is very small and tiles are coming off with some signs of mold. The bathtub is cloging up and you take a shower with the water up to your ankles. Houskeeping is not at par either I paid $660 for 2 nights and it was not worth it at all!

My daughter and I had a great stay at this hotel for New Year's Eve and a few days after. I must say the staff was quite professional and accommodating. Every person I encountered during our five night stay was helpful and friendly at all times. My one "complaint" would be the price for what you get. I feel like it was over priced for the amenities the hotel had to offer. For example, the pool area was quite small for the number of rooms the hotel had. It also was advertised as " rooftop", which was quite misleading since it was located below the lobby/street level. The noises from the street bombarded us whenever at the pool. I thought I had breakfast included in my stay, but came to find I did not. For the amount per night I was paying, I would expect it to have included something for breakfast - not that I would have to pay 12$ in the lobby for coffee and a lukewarm, miniscule egg sandwich.

Hotel was ok, a little small and grimy for the price. Could never get complimentary WiFi to work, price was "included in room" and spent 3 hours on the phone with IT to no avail. Also they would not allow you to use luggage caddies without help of bellboy aka tipping.

-Valet parking receptionist should be nicer, then the rest of the staff were great. Plus Valet parking should be free for guest. -Needs pedestrian sidewalk to access the hotel from the street. -Carpet need an update. -They should have a microwave available on the common area of the 23th floor, since they can deliver one to your rooms.

We stayed Hyatt Regency right before Christmas so it was very busy at that time. The staff did an excellent job, each and every one of them were very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is in short walking distance to Bayfront Park with many restaurants and bars as well as the Miami hop-on hop-off tour bus lines. The self-parking is a bit painful, you need to walk a couple of minutes and the way is not the easiest to find. The parking rates are reasonable, especially during the weekend.

The hotel had a lovely smell to it when you walked in, all the staff was loving and caring and what i loved most they were very helpful....The rooms were always clean and tidy and the service was great. Loved my stay at this hotel.
