Great staff and service, decent buffet style food and bar overlooking Miami River, room okay, no balcony, no comfortable chair in smallish room, parking $35 per day (average for downtown area), room rate quite good for area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Downtown area"
My experience was ok for a one night stay . Had a great valentine's day with my wife and friends. The Bar should stay open at least until 2 am Friday's and Saturday'sGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hyatt Regency Miami"
Carpet soiled and lumpy. The parking garage is really far from the hotel. One of elevators was slow and smelled like exhaust fumes.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great attention, nice room view, very clean. I really recommend it and would stay there againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel, nothing exceptional"
Decent hotel, nothing exceptional. $300/night seems high for what they offer, but it is in downtown Miami. Window in my room was very dirty, with smudge marks all over the inside of the window. Carpets throughout hallways and my room were stained, with buckles in the hallway carpeting. Staff was very attentive. The chef even made the rounds in the dining […] room and seemed very excited about his job. I would stay here again if it was less money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too short to know"
Great staff. Old hotel. It is time to upgrade. Dining was okay. Food was more than acceptable. The dining staff needs more training. Our room was pleasantly confortable except for the city noise. Difficult to sleep Saturday night. Sunday night was much quieter. Love the location. Close. To all the new activity in old Miami. Easy on and off the interstate. "A very poor service hotel for the money"
The hotel is old and same part smell really bad we have to call the the staff for that , they even don't pay any attention very costly hotel , be aware of the parking even you reserved at the hotel you will still pay 35.00 for parking REDICULOS. no recommended for the money they are better hotels in the area for the same amountGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location but rooms need upgrading"
Positives: good restaurants and shops nearby, right off I-95 and US-1, hotel lobby and staff were very good, concierge was very helpful Negatives: hotel rooms are out of date, $350 per night gets you a $60 room in 1985Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in room 721. Horrible view of a roof. The room itself was fine, but the bath area was dated, worn, and small. Nice to have separate sink area though. No free wifi in rooms is ridiculous-especially for $329 a night. The location was fine, but next time I will stay in Coconut Grove.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good room for the price."
Expedia has the room info wrong. I booked a 2 dbl bed suite and received a king suite w a cold out couch. They don't have a suite w double beds. The room was average, a little outdated. Every hotel in Miami is expensive so this is good for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Old hotel that needs a renovation ASAP."
This hotel needs to be remodeled as soon as possible. This hotel could affect negatively the Hyatt Regency franchise.Genuine Expedia guest review
Dark room, smell like moisture, noisy, old dirty carpet on the floor ... don't go !Genuine Expedia guest review

"For $280 this should be 5 star"
First Room I Was Given Was Dirty. Had To Go Back To Lobby. I Reserved A King Bed But Was Told Only Double Beds In A Handicapped Room Were Available. Walked Into The Room And Immediately Saw Diet On The Floor Where It Was Clear It Hadn't Been Vacuumed. Then Got A Knock On The Door From Hotel Staff Who Was Already Entering The Room Before I Got To Open […] The Door. He Then Apologized For Having The Wrong Room. $35 For Valet?!!! "Peri cruise comfort"
We wanted to stay close to the port as we did a cruise - so we stayed a day before & a day after. The staff, facilities, room eyc were all great - my only problem was that we couldn't leave some of our bags there if we did want to it would cost us $5 per bag per day! As a family of 4 on a 3 week holiday in the US - we had about 9 bags & thought if taking […] only 3 or 4 on the cruise. Anyway we decided to just schlep our bags with us on the cruise. Otherwise would recommend this for fily of four - we had a single room with 2 queen sized beds & 2 breakfasts were included & we had to pay for another 2. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great hotel in downtown Miami, I just came off a cruise and this hotel was close to the port in downtime miami, lovely pool and close to the bars, restaurants and shops in Mary brickell village, I arrived there at 9.30am and had booked two rooms, they immediately gave us one room and had next door serviced within the hour, this was brilliant considering […] checkin is from 4pm, would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting hassle free. "Housekeeping & front desk staff attitude"
There was a house keeping staff member who picked up our shirts and did not bring them back at the time or even close to the time she stated. Also, the same housekeeping member returned the shirts (finally)and was conversating on an ear piece with a staff member or friend about not wanting to serve us. I was appalled that she would walk down the hall […] discussing her reasons for not wanting to serve her guests. It represented poor customer service. Also, we called the front desk several times for various items needed in our room and one of the staff members talked somewhat sarcastic to my friend, I guess, thinking it was me calling because she specifically called my name. "Worst 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in"
I should have heeded the advice I read before booking this hotel. My experience can be summed up as in what my title states. There were occasional moments of good service (in the Riverwalk Cafe, and one particular staff at the reception) but by and large what put me off is the general lack of friendliness of the staff, the thin walls (no sound proofing), […] and the poor conditions of the room (even with daily house keeping). "Very nice hotel close to the Port of Miami"
We were very impressed with this hotel. The room was very comfortable. The hotel was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. It was conveniently located less than two miles to the Port of Miami. "Great location to see the Heat"
Loved how convent it was to get to the American airline arena . It's a little noisy , walls are thin .Genuine Expedia guest review
Very big hotel and with a convention going on at the same time, elevators were always cramped with a huge line waiting almost at all times. "Very clean and worth the price."
The hotel was in the heart of Downtown Miami. There Miami river flows right next to you, amazing views. The breakfast is very good. "Very nice hotel!"
We got there in the morning after cruise. The hotel offers free luggage storage, so we could travel around before check-in! The staff at front desk called at 12:00 pm when room is available. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We did not hear much noise even facing a city view. Very nice stay!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location for downtown activity"
Old worn furniture, but otherwise clean. No fridge or microwave. Very friendly and helpful staff more than makes up for any other problems. Food expensive, but very good, and again, very good and friendly staff. Very convenient for activities at the convention center. The best! We would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Why the is the hotel charging $10 for 15 minutes of internet on terribly slow computers? I lost my phone charger, instead of offering me a spare charger...(let's just say they didn't) Why the is there only ONE computer in this place to to print boarding. "Great for business"
Room felt somewhat outdated. Very basic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had booked 3 rooms thought Expedia. They were all prepaid. I arrived at the hotel ahead of two of my company associates and was told I would have to present one of my credit or debit cards for "incidentals" until the two other people arrived, one of whom had the company credit cards to which these three rooms had already been charged to and pre-paid. […] Unbeknownst to me, the Hyatt Regency charged all three rooms to my American Express Bluebird card, then turned around and charged five room "incidentals" at $57.50 each. I had to go to the front desk three times including very early in the morning yesterday when I had a flight to catch. I left the Hyatt with over $1,100.00 charged to my account with a fraud alert notice from American Express about all of these charges. The charges remain on my card with a promise from the Hyatt Regency assistant manager that they would be removed within 24 to 48 hours. So far that has not been done. I would not recommend this particular Hyatt Regency to anyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The Hyatt Regency Miami is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and that's saying something because I travel a lot for my job. It was located close to the Port of Miami and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It also is a stop on the peoplemover that goes throughout downtown Miami. Great place!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pretty nice hotel but..."
The hotel is nice. I will say that first. However there were several things that made it less than desirable. Pillow--ridiculous over fluffed pillow. Put a crick in the neck of everyone in my travel party Internet--I got the bill on my check out date. There was a $9.99 charge for each day I used the wireless internet. Are you serious? Welcome to the […] 21st century. 10 bucks for internet that wasn't that good. The 56k connection I had back in 1998 was better than this hotel's connection. I talked to the desk clerk about it, and they waved the fee, but I don't know if this is what they do for everyone, and if so why bother charge the fee? Luggage--so I checked out of the hotel, but my flight was not until the afternoon. A common courtesy offered by many hotels, especially ones that are at the cost level of this hotel, is holding luggage for a period of time. I did this, and they lost my bag for nearly fifteen minutes. Finally I found it stuck in a custodial closet on a shelf. Great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hyatt Regency needs an update"
The staff was EXCELLENT! From the second we walked in the door. Everyone was very helpful and very friendly. From the front desk, to random staff we ran into in the elevator. The bartenders were great. The wait staff in the dining room were very nice and made us feel welcome. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was SUPURB. We wouldn't choose […] this Hyatt again because it is outdated. The room we were in felt like a 70's flashback. It needs an upgrade. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom fixtures were outdated. It felt old. Strange set up between the bathroom and the beds. The shower head/water pressure was horrible. If we had to stay in Miami for longer than one night we would defiantly choose to stay elsewhere. One night would be okay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is huge. I didn't realize it was a convention center until the next morning, but that's just me. I loved the Miami river walk, and appreciated the proximity to shops and parks. "Great staff! Very Helpful"
Arrived early off of a Cruise with 3 other adults, 1 having physical challenges. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful in getting us a room to drop off scooters and walkers ASAP. They even treated us to a cup of coffee from their Riverwalk Deli while we waited. Who does that? Obviously The Hyatt Regency Miami!
