"Austin was hopping and Hyatt was ready for it!"
Quality, personable service at a busy city hotel. Very nice comfortable room with the view of Town Lake and Austin outdoor activities nearby. Plenty of good eating choices in walking distance in this area. Enjoyable stay and we would definitely visit again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Sushi bar is excellent. Please think about adding a moscato to your wine selection.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, beautiful view."
The pool/hot tub was great. We had direct access to the walking path around the lake, and a beautiful view of the lake and city. Worth the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved this hotel. You can't beat the location, right on the river and walking distance to shopping/bars/restaurants. The staff was amazing and the people friendly. I had an amazing experience. Would stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A very good experience"
I was very pleased with my stay at the Hyatt. Staff were very helpful, going out of their way on more than one occasion for me. The facility is very nice, and the room was top-notch. It was a little distance from Downtown Austin, but not an unreasonable walk or quick cab ride. With the nice spring weather, I enjoyed walking all around the area. I would […] stay here again! Room was bad. Promised city view- which means the southwest side and the building under construction...Room smelled bad like a gym locker room. Breakfast add on was over priced for the buffet. Go out! Valet guys were great. Generally it was overpriced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent Location and Hotel"
The hotel itself is very centrally located just a quick walk across the bridge to get to downtown (10m walk). The gym is fantastic, as is the outdoor pool, and the food inside the hotel is really excellent. Our stay came with free breakfast which we really enjoyed (lot's of delicious southern food) and fresh as can be! The rooms itself could use a facelift […] inside. The shower was a little dirty/moldy, and the room itself was a bit mistry. For us it served it's purpose, and the beds were very comfortable. Would consider staying here again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near the river"
It was lovely to walk out on the riverGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was perfect. We had a lake view, which was so amazing. The nature trails are right there. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly from the moment we arrived. The lobby was very nice and the drinks at the bar were delicious! We will definitely plan to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice business hotel"
The service was excellent, and my room was updated, clean and comfortable. I thought the main property was a little dated and need of refreshing and the property is across the bridge from where most offices and entertainment venues are located. The tables and chairs in the main hotel restaurant looked beaten up, with lots of nicks and scratches. Overall […] though, it was a pleasant stay, a good value at $219 (hotels.com rate) and convenient enough to downtown Austin. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel good price"
I think their prices were lower because there was construction on the first level and the building next door but I didn't hear anything. I actually like staying at a hotel that has some construction as the prices are usually lower which they were in this case. Good bar and restaurant, exercise room (free headsets) and nice lobby. Right on the river […] with view to the downtown. Convenient for downtown stay. The only negative would be they charge $19 a night for parking. That always annoys me. $25 if you valet but why would anyone do that, just need to walk a tiny bit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel, convenient to everything"
Our view of Lady Bird Lake and Downtown Austin was incredible. We were within close walking distance of The Long Center, Parmer Auditorium and Auditorium Shores, with several great restaurants close by (Threadgill's, Zax, Aussie's). Austin's famous 6th Street is a quick cab ride (or a brisk walk if you're up for it). This hotel is convenient to any […] downtown venue (The Paramount, The Capitol) or trendy SoCo, SoLa, and South 1st Street shopping and restaurants. The hotel patio on the shore of the lake was a lovely place to have a nightcap and meet friendly folks from all over. I live in Austin and chose this hotel for a "stay-cation" when my sister came down from Colorado Springs for a visit so we'd be right on the pulse of beautiful ATX. We stayed the weekend here and had a fantastic time. The "Austin Winos" wine tasting tour was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the Hill Country, sampling fine Texas wine at three different vineyards. I highly recommend this hotel for people wanting to enjoy our spectacular city! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The remote didn't work and we asked for assistance they gave us a new one but it wasn't programmed. When we first arrived the cleaning staff didn't remove the dirty wash clothes from the previous person's stay. I expected a lot better from the Hyatt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very friendly staff and excellent gym"
Everyone was so kind and helpful! They even sent us something special up to the room. It was a wonderful surprise. The gym was actually pretty nice as well, and had a great view of the river.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hyatt? Me no think so..."
What can I say... An aging property not quite up to today's standards. Where do I start? The rooms are really really tiny, dark, and cold. And, by cold, I mean the AC can't even keep the temperature above 70 if on full power. Yu need a shoehorn to get into the smallest bathroom I have seen in a long time, and there is no walk-in shower, so you struggle […] to get into a bathtub. You can't even use your towel, it's so small. The parking structure is a loooong walk from the hotel, so easy parking it is not. The atrium must have been impressive - back in the early 80's. Fact is, you go to hotel to enjoy your room. What good is it to have a monstrous atrium, but not even enough space to turn around in your bathroom? I actually had a glass sherd under my bedsheets - something that I have not experienced in twenty years of traveling the world. Even the location was bad: It took me three Colorado river crossings despite GPS to actually find the driveway that would lead you through a construction site to the hotel entrance. You can't walk anywhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful downtown view"
Very convenient to everything on my agenda. Staff was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hidden gem. Room was clean, service is nice and prompt and rate was reasonable. Town Lake/Downtown facing view is amazing. Totally underrated place to stay in central Austin/downtown/south congress.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dog-friendly in a great location"
The room was very nice and clean. The hotel employees were very courteous and allowed us a late checkout. Plus, nothing beats being able to travel with our 4-legged kid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel, great views, perfect location"
This will be our hotel of choice in Austin. Perfect location in downtown & we requested high floor with river view & we got it!! Rooms are very nice & staff was great! Only downside, no refrigerator in the roomGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel close to downtown"
The hotel is very nice, very good location, only thing I didn't like was the parking, very expensive and far from hotel if you don't valet park, you have to walk at least two blocks, in cold weather it didn't please me too muchGenuine Expedia guest review
"Austin city limits new year's eve"
I wanted a full service hotel for new years eve, close to both the city celebration in auditorium shores and the moody theater. The Hyatt exceeded my expectations. The buffet dinner new year's eve was delicious, reasonably priced and easy- it was also quick- we were able to make it to the ACL show at the theater across the lake downtown in plenty of […] time. THe room was very comfortable, with a view in the morning of the New Year's day marathon. As I got encouragement from the concierge to enjoy a January soak a late check out the next day gave us time for the outdoor hot tub on the shoreline. The staff could not have been nicer, or more professional. There was no wait for anything and the choices for new years eve and new years day dining were more diverse the I could have anticipated. "Nivce location on the river side"
A bit surprising to see the difference of standard between the room and the bathroom. The floor had big marks and look a bit disgustingGenuine Expedia guest review

"Did not even stay at hotel due to condition."
We checked in after making our way through construction area and difficult parking. Hotel was clearly under construction and smelled of dust and fumes. Room and beds were extremely small and uncomfortable. Asked for a refund and moved to another hotel. Would not recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A Fantastic Stay.."
We were only there one night, but wished we could have stayed 10. Beautiful Hotel with great service on the south shore of Town Lake. Would recommend and also will stay here again. We would also recommend the River View as high up as they can get you. I have enjoyed many Hyatt properties and the service here was up to par. The hotel is in need of renovations to the rooms, dirty worn carpet, poor quality tv, no fridge. Had good service and the room served its purpose, but not as memorable as other Hyatt properties I've stayed in.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location and great comfort. It was a terrific getaway, with a very comfortable room and welcoming staff. Many restaurants and music venues within walking distance or a cheap $5 cab ride. We couldn't have asked for more. Buffet breakfast was an extra plus!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Past it's prime and in need of serious renovation."
I was expecting more of a Hyatt Regency. My room was run down - the carpeting was appalling. No refrigerator/minibar. Poor temperature control. Lots of noisy nearby construction.Genuine Expedia guest review
I've stayed at the Hyatt multiple times and everytime it's amazing! Service is always great. Everyone is always very helpful and quick to offer assistant. "Great for Overnight stay"
The hotel was in a great location and had great amenities; however, it was under construction and with the cold, rainy weather, it made for a long walk to the parking garage! The breakfast was included in our room, but it would have been really expensive on it's own. The only real con I could see is that we could hear the loudness of the bar at night. […] It was great while we were down there, but we wanted to escape that when we went to bed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Property A Bit Noisy"
Nice property on the water however it was a bit noisy. You could hear clearly any activity of your neighbors in the next room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
'F1 for Schools' conference was at the hotel which made the elevators really slow, and the construction made parking kind of frustrating. Parking was also kind of expensive in my opinion. (19.00 for overnight) However, these were all minor things to me, not a big deal at all. I loved our stay, the room was great, the view was great, the people were […] great. We got to meet people from out of country due to F1. It was also close to the event we went to. I'd go again for sure, hopefully construction will be done next time Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"River view rooms are amazing!"
My wife and I really loved the river view room, which included early morning views of turtles in Town Lake, people exercising all day long and then the night-time cityscape. It's an easy walk to the University, Capitol building or S Congress for excellent food. Enjoy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was somewhat disappointed in this hotel. I was unaware that parking was an extra charge... seemed a bit steep after paying a hefty price for this hotel. The entrance & location is beautiful. Very convenient to the downtown and South Congress attractions as well as the Congress Street bridge bats. The elevators were very slow & most were not working. […] The room was TINY/cramped. The toilet leaked so much that we kept a towel wrapped around it or much of the bathroom floor would have been very wet. The breakfast (which we did pay extra for) was very good. "Very Friendly Staff"
Very nice hotel and friendly staff, Great outdoor space to relax.Genuine Expedia guest review
The noise level coming from the restaurant and bar area was very loud and it seemed like it was amplified into the top floors. I will look for another hotel the next time I come to Austin for business or pleasure. We can't say enough nice things about out stay here. Eight of us came from Oxford for the Texas/Ole Miss game and every area of the hotel surpassed our expectations. "Great semi-high end hotel"
Staff was great! The room was clean, but there needed to be a little more attention to details. There was a coffee stirrer on the floor in our room. In addition to our suite, I rented a day room. The dresser had not been dusted. There was a layer of dust. With these two little things said, I was very pleased with the room. The hotel itself had all that […] would be expected. "Bootleg Hotel on Lady Bird Lake"
Hotel was under renovation and renovation was absolutely long overdue. You asked for my experience. I was super disappointed in this hotel.
