Our room was fabulous until our "neighbor" came in at 10:30 pm and blasted his music. Since the room had an adjoining door, we were awakened from a sound sleep. The hotel was apologetic, but do check to see that your room does not have an inner door. Otherwise, a lovely place.

Considering I thought I was getting a great deal on this hotel, I was surprised by how fancy it was when I arrived. Well, the lobby was fancier than the rooms, but it was still a nice stay. We had a good view from our room, and the hotel was generally quiet. The free shuttle to the CBD Viaduct was great. My only complaint was that the King bed was actually two twin beds, but I found this to be the case in nearly every hotel I stayed at in NZ.

Seems like whenever I come to Auckland I'm coming off a long journey, or from some third world kingdom and have a need to rest up and give myself a treat. What could be nicer than a plush hotel after a small foam matress in the middle of the pacific. I've stayed at two other hotels in Auckland, one much more costly and one about the same as the Langham, cost wise. I will choose the Langham again, and again, and again. Great room, impecable service, great location, shuttle to downtown shopping, great staff and a great price. Great bed too, nice and firm. This is a classy place, all round. Truely an incredible value.

Great hotel, however, the location is not perfect. There are very few restaurants around the hotel that are not Asian food. Also right now, there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel and it was hard driving around it. The rooms were great, comfortable and the services the hotel provides were incredible for the price we paid.

We only stopped the one night unfortunatly because if we had more time we would of stopped a couple more. The whole hotel is beautiful and we really like the room, it was just the standard but really good. The breakfast was one of the best we had while travelling in New Zealand. The only downside that we can think of is it doesnt have the scenery pull like some other hotels down at the harbour and some of the nearb y roads are hilly. However saying that both of us are not what you would call fit and we got round this minor thing and it was a nice walk through the shops to the harbhour area. One thing that we were happy with was how close the hotel was to the motorway that took us south to start our travels. The slip road is literally across the road, awesome. To sum up, great hotel, great people and the only sad thing about it is we miss New Zealand, cheers guys. Hope to see you in the future!

This is one of the finest hotels I've stayed at. The rooms were lavish. The staff were professional, friendly and genuinely interested in meeting all our needs. The concierge was extremely helpful and information the staff provided about a self-park lot helped save money. The hotel is a little out of downtown, but a timely and free shuttle van makes the location a non-issue. One night the hotel took part in "Earth Hour," an eco-friendly event, by turning out the lights. To celebrate, the staff lit 1700 candles, provided free spirits and live jazz. Cheers.

We booked this hotel over the internet from the UK and we were thoroughly delighted with the result and amazed by the level of comfort and service we received at such a moderate price. The Langham hotel was a very impressive place to stay. Situated on the top of the hill on Symonds St and slightly off the road it is a lovely surprise to find it once you have gone down a slight dip. The reception area was beautiflly decorated & lovely and clean. Just off reception was small lounge area where we enjoyed our cocktails & snacks every evening. The room itself had lovely large double beds, great furnishings & lots of squashy pillows. The bathroom had plenty of large bath towels and lots of little accessories. There was also a small courtyard at the front of the hotel surrounded by lush ferns & foliage where you could have a quiet smoke (if you are that way inclined). All in all a fabulous stay at this lovely hotel. Just watch the climb back up the hill from Queens street in downtown Auckland. It left me quite breathless!!
