Hotel in middle of renovations. Indoor pool area very comfortable and inviting. Excellent breakfast buffet and wait staff made it very enjoyable. Room cleaning services has room for improvement.

If you have an early flight this is a great place. Comfortable an free shuttle to airport. Bottom floor smelled like the swimming pool water tho.... Not much of surrounding neighborhood, however found a really good and cleen Japanese place across the street called Hibachi Hut, if your tired of all the fried food, I would recommend that place

This will be a pretty nice hotel, I think, in several months. At the moment you'll probably hate it. Beyond the mess associated with the construction, some things are just nasty. For example, the carpets in the hallway was so dirty, it looked like they must have been working on cars in there. At a minimum there should be a disclosure about this in the […] hotel information. This was a last minute booking since we were not happy with the hotel from the previous night. What drew us to the hotel were the sleep number beds which are great idea for hotels. We had a wonderful night sleep which was significantly different from the previous night. Overall, we were pleased with everything. The breakfast buffet was a little bare […] because we got there late and 2 busloads of children had just left. But the staff was doing their best to keep everything restocked. Only thing about this location is that you can only turn right out of the property and need to make a U-turn on the street. Otherwise it is close to shopping and a good number of restaurants and close to downtown Charleston. This will be our first choice for hotels on our next stay in Charleston. Read more

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Hotel under renovation but didn't interrupt our stay. The pool area is great. Asked for a sleep number bed in reservation but didn't have any upon arrival, otherwise nice stay!

We just stayed there because we landed at night and it was close to the airport. We got up early and went to the hotel in downtown Charleston where we would be staying for our vacation. Did not notice any neighborhood as it was right off the freeway.

When I made the reservation for this airport hotel, I knew my flight was arriving late. I checked the website for information about an airport shuttle, and called to verify, telling the clerk my flight was a late one. My flight was delayed by an hour. When I called the hotel from the airport to request the shuttle, I was told the shuttle service had […] stopped. The primary reason I chose this hotel was because of it's advertisement as an "airport hotel with a shuttle". I was especially exasperated as I had called and specifically inquired about a shuttle late in the evening. My ten year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel for her spring break from school. I couldn't have picked a better place! I was very impressed with the room we stayed in. I understand that this location is under remodel right now - 3/29/2013. However, you can still serve folks well in the breakfast area and can still greet folks with a smile and perhaps apologize a few times for the mess. Do not get a sleep number bed we had to change room at 4 in the morning we were move to the 8th floor much better . Was only there one night. Had to be picked up at the airport late at night. Response was prompt and friendly. In general, the staff was exceptional. The room was fine. The only problem was that the hotel is being remodeled and the fitness center was not open.

Staff all greet me by name (impressive) and recognized me after coming in at 500am after an all night racoon hunt and offered to let me sleep in for late check out. I love this place ! Neighborhood may seem a little rough, just close your eyes and drive. LOL

It was convenient to the airport but the facility is a little long in the tooth and ready for a major facelift. Found half a pizza and a used water bottle in the in-room fridge; otherwise looked clean Maintenance was not good. Lights by the bed and the sleep number bed didn't work. It was just barely OK.

It was not as close to the Battery as I would have liked, BUT there were no noisy clubs around to keep us awake at night. We loved trying out the Sleep Number beds. Only problems that we had were the water from the toilet upstairs kept running all night long and to get a cup of coffee in the morning you had to go to the restaurant and ask for one. Otherwise the rooms and the staff were exceptional

Excellent hotel. Apparently recently renovated. Had to catch an early morning flight and they accommodated me with wake up calls at 15 minute intervals, Had the shuttle ready and waiting and even had coffee, tea and juice available at 4:00 am.
