We picked this hotel because we stayed there years ago, when it was a Sheraton property. The grounds have run down quite a bit, but overall it was ok...not 4 star worthy but nice enough. However, the first day the toilet backed up, and it took 3 phone calls, 4 hours and tracking down a maintenance man ourselves to get it plunged. This continued through […] the second day, and on that day the maintenance guys imply came to the door, handed us the plunger and said "Keep it". . .really? We have to plunge our own toilet when we paid for "delux" accomodations? The night manager refused to help at 4am, when I went to the desk to inform them that the toilet overflowed again. Rude did not begin to describe his response to my simple request to move rooms. In fact, he also couldn't locate any extra towels. ..just to mop up the mess. His response was so bad that one of the night janitors tracked me down, apologized, and brought us some towels and a mop. ..yes, for US to mop up the room. Finally, a competent person behind the counter during the day moved us to another room. . .We extended our stay in Californie by a week, but did not extend our stay at this hotel. Sad, this used to be a nice place. You're better off at the Marriott Courtyard in Pleasant Hill. . .not a "hotel" per se, but the staff was wonderful, the room as clean and the toilet worked! The Hotel was ok. Check in was fast. When I got in to the room, I notice the room next door has a dog, and it was barking nonstop. So I called the front desk and asked them to give me different room. They told me they need 5 min to find one is available, and they will call me back. I was waiting for 30 min and nobody called me back. So I gave up and […] stay in the same room. That was a mistake. This hotel is very big!! We got in just in time for dinner. Went to the restaurant on site. The waiter that took care of us was great. Later I had laundry to do so we went back for a beer while the clothes were washing bartender was pleasant. We went back for breakfast and the service was a little slow. I stayed here because i had a test in Berkeley the next morning and didn't want to drive two hours from home to get there. Hotel was obviously designed for a 1960's world, long corridors to get to to the room and dumb luck I got a room all the way at the other end of the establishment from the front desk so just walking through the the narrow smelly […] alleys to get to the room was the worst experience in its own. The room its self was clean and that's about all i can say about it. I woke up 3 times that night because of people making a considerable amount of noise outside, I know that's just some inconsiderate guests but it adds to the overall experience. If i knew better i would have stayed in Motel instead, would have saved me a bunch money and maybe even slept better. Read more

It looks like this is an old Howard Johnson that has been completely redone or something. The bed and furniture were very nice. The bathroom completely re-done. Everything was new. Oddly enough, the carpet in my room was stained in quite a few spots. It seemed odd because everything else has been redone nicely. The hotel is right next to a small airport […] so if you're on the airport side of the hotel you hear the airplanes pretty easily. There aren't a lot of places to eat within walking distance however, downtown Concord is about a mile away and there are dozens of interesting places. The staff was courteous enough the few times I spoke with them and wake up calls were delivered on time so as far as I'm concerned, this hotel met most of my requirements for a hotel: comfortable bed, hot shower, reliable staff. The one HUGE negative is that it has the slowest wireless Internet connection I've seen in a hotel. For this reason alone I won't stay there again. I work during the mornings and evenings before meetings and this was crippling. I ended up going across the street at Star Bucks if I wanted to get anything done. Aside from that, the Toastmaster iron left something to be desired, but that's the only other negative. Oh, there was a nice big flat screen TV, but I never watched it so I can't comment on the TV or channel selection. Read more

My Biggest complaint is the room smelled like mold, the dirty stairwells, and the smokers who hang by the door allowing their smoke to get sucked in to your room. The sign says 25 feet minimum nut they put the ashtray right by the door so that is where the smpkers go. Your bathrooom fan is always running so there is always a draft sucking hallway air […] into your room. Read more

We spent a week but spent little time in the room. Airport noise was not an issue even though our room backed onto the runway. Driving range and shopping literally on the same block a the hotel. A friend and I came here for a night because we were going to a concert at the Concord Sleep Train Paviliion. The hotel staff was very friendly and also were very helpful with getting a cab for us to get to the show. Front desk employees and the Chop House employees were all very friendly. Would stay here again for the next time we go to a concert!

The hotel location was easy to find. Check-in - no problem. No parking issues. Room was nice & clean. Staff friendly. We included the morning buffet with our room. Check in took forever. Mildew in the shower. Shower head was spouting water everywhere. Shower curtain to small. Stains on arm chair. Requested late check out and was woken up by loud bangging and staff yelling about cockroaches! Very unhappy.

This is an older hotel that needs renovation. The elevators were slow and a bit "jerky" which alarmed some slightly nervous patrons. I was there for an event at the airport that was right next door, otherwise I would have stayed at another hotel in the area. Looking at cost to value, this property is just "OK".

Booked a room for 3 people. Arrived and got one King only. They were over booked and couldn't put me in a room with two beds. They couldn't find a roll away bed. After two hours, they put me in the presidential suite for the same price. This would had been a nice upgrade, except the suite had one king and a sofa. The room was a good size. The hotel was going through remodeling so it was a terrible inconvenience to access our room. The late evening desk clerk was not very customer friendly, I had to call the desk twice to just ask a simple question about the location where breakfast would be served. Each time he said he would call me back. We waited 40 minutes […] for a call back just to learn that breakfast is served in the lobby restaurant. Why did we have to wait for a call back for such a simple answer? The morning breakfast service was terrible. It took over an hour to receive our meal, but the quality of the breakfast was great. The Crown Plaza chain of hotels used to have a good reputation back in the day. My stay on this hotel was pretty disappointing. First of all the water knob in the shower didn't work well. I had to barely touch it for it to give warm water. All their pillows were made of duck feathers, which I am allergic to so I had really rough nights. They had no […] pillow options like other hotels do. One night we got locked out and our room keys didn't work. So we had to walk all the way down to the lobby carrying 60 lbs of equipment (from work) and get our keys reprogrammed. The receptionist in charge was courteous enough to give us two complimentary breakfast tickets for the inconvenience. We had breakfast the morning after and it was really bad. The packages were rubberish and the bacon hard, like it had been sitting there for a while. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Read more
