"Excellent for the price"
Great friendly staff; well located hotel just off main street. Large, clean room. Had laundry room. The breakfast bar was a great time-saving surprise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located on a dirt road (only one paved road in Ouray) and the carpet was FILTHY. The cleaning staff left dirty towels behind bathroom door, and a front desk staff member (middle-aged man when we checked out July 6th) was rude and condescending. The paper thin walls allow you to listen to the dogs barking all night in the room next to yours […] (yes, they allow pets). This hotel is extremely overpriced (even given the tourist destination and dates over a holiday). We stayed for 4 nights from July 2-6, and I was charged $822.33 for the displeasure of staying in this dump. This was admittedly my fault for booking late, and this was the only place available in town. In the course of my air force career, I have stayed in lodging the world over, and can say without a doubt that this was one of the worst. Not recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
great view from room, quaint townGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After a long day, we finally made it back to our room late, but were delighted to still find establishments open. We just walked two blocks and found a place still serving food!.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall our stay was nice. Horrible beds and pillows! Staff were so very nice and inviting though. Made you feel at home!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great customer service, walking distance to Main Street restaurants and shops. Free continental breakfast and hot tub was a great way to soak sore muscles after a day of skiing. It is a good deal and location is the most important reason for hotel selection followed closely by reasonable cost, cleanliness and comfort, definitely met expectations and […] would stay again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good spot for Ice Climbers."
Ouray is beautiful. This is a good hotel for a couple of ice climbers who need a spot close to the ice climbs and down town. The discount for the hot springs is great. Breakfast was good enough for the calories one needs to be out doors all day. Very helpful and friendly owners and staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, convenient and very friendly"
Overall, a very nice motel, very friendly and cheerful staff. I would have enjoyed a more comfortable bed, but I've certainly slept on worse. Very clean and pleasant room, WiFi was handy. Ouray is certainly the crown jewel of the San Juans!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfort Inn in Ouray"
Not a good value for the price. The carpet was worn and stained. The decor is outdated. The stairs were a bit scary in the snow. The doors face outside so it's more like a motel. The breakfast was ok. The eggs were luke warm. The room the breakfast was in was nice. No swimming pool, which I expected since it's a Comfort Inn and the hot tub is out in […] the open where everyone can see it in front of the hotel next to the parking lot. Very convenient to main street and shops, restaurants. The discount tickets to the Ouray hot springs were nice - $6 for adults...half price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
""A Welcome Relief""

We were on a 16 day camping adventure through the San Juan Mountains. We had been camping for 8 days when we arrived in Ouray, Co. It was a Friday we were unable to find a camping spot. We decided it was time to go to a motel and clean up and enjoy some luxury. We stopped at the Comfort Inn owned by Ted & Betty Wolfe. What a great choice. They went out of their way to arrange a room that was dog friendly for 4 days for us. The room was remarkably nice. Clean, quite and pleasantly decorated. Not your usual "motel decor or drapes". The room included a free hot breakfast. There was also a washer & dryer on the premises along with a mini frig & microwave in each room. We would highly recommend this as a wonderful place to stay. It definitely added to the pleasure of our trip. We hope to return there again.
"Quaint with great view"
Stayed here July 30th on a motorcycle trip. The rooms were outside entrance and there was no elevator. Small check in area but were taken care of promptly. Was on second floor so had to climb them with luggage but the room was super clean with all new carpet and bath fixtures! Just a small little quaint town but walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Not a whole lot of choices in this town but I would stay here again. I was very happy with it.
"Great Stay, Reasonable, Clean, and Friendly"

The staff here run a tight ship. The rooms are clean and reasonable. The location is beautiful, with views of the mountain from your window. The breakfast is fine and what you would expect from a Comfort Inn. The room was nice as well. I don't think it was dated at all. We had a great flat screen TV, very large! The beds were nice and firm. The water pressure was great :)

We stayed in this property for three nights, and would stay here again if we ever return to Ouray. Nice room, comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was full when we were there (end of August), so I would reserve rooms early.
"Great Location. Dated Room."
09/01/14 Stephanie S
This was our first visit to Ouray. The area is beautiful. Our room --not so much. It smelled badly, the beds sagged in the middle, and the brown and mustard carpet was ugly but in good repair. Not a great first impression. We spent minimal time in the room. Overall, it appeared dated but clean. It was sufficient for one night, but the bed was very firm and old. $144 seems expensive for what you get, but that might be normal for the town.

My family and I stayed at Comfort Inn while on a road trip. We liked the price and the included breakfast. The location is perfect, only about a two minute walk to Main Street. The staff is very friendly. Our room was clean, although the furniture and wall decor was a bit dated. The beds were well made and had two options for pillow firmness. My family loves breakfast at Comfort Inn. The waffles are fantastic, so make sure to eat one. All-in-all, Comfort Inn went well above suiting our needs. We would stay here again.

After 18 months on the road In the US we have stayed at a lot of hotels and this one is one of about only a dozen that have employed the very easy and simple idea of making the bed with two different grades of firmness.. Appreciated Comfort Inn Ouray.. Thank You
"Best staff of any Motel in Ouray"
08/17/14 MillVA VA
We've are long time Ouray visitors and we camp when we are on vacation there. But over the years, as bad weather has forced us out of the campground, we have ended up in various motels in town. This year was no different and we ended up at the Comfort Inn for two nights. The staff is nothing less than excellent. We arrived with luggage and some dirty gear. They graciously stored it prior to our room being ready, then moved it in for us. They also showed great flexibility with other family members when their plans changed as well. Overall they have wonderful staff! The rooms are decent and clean. Great service and great staff!
"Great value and friendly staff"
08/13/14 Patrick C Cypress, Texas
The hotel is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Rooms are not cramped and there are no odors even though some rooms allow for smoking. There is a hot tub but I wish it was a bit more secluded or shielded from the general population. Well situated to downtown for shopping and dining which we did both. Parking is easy with space for small towed trailers. Nice typical free breakfast. The owners are active so things are well taken care of and they genuinely care about your stay.
"Hard to Beat in Ouray"
07/28/14 DOWJR Denver, Colorado
In this small town this is a welcome place. It is older but clean and the king bed we had was great. The breakfast is what you expect at a Comfort Inn but the staff kept everything filled and were very pleasant doing so. They were also extremely helpful with information and directions. This was our second stay and we will stay there again next year if possible. They fill up quick in the Summer.
