The highlight of our evening was the delicious cookies the front desk offers to there guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent for the price"
Great friendly staff; well located hotel just off main street. Large, clean room. Had laundry room. The breakfast bar was a great time-saving surprise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located on a dirt road (only one paved road in Ouray) and the carpet was FILTHY. The cleaning staff left dirty towels behind bathroom door, and a front desk staff member (middle-aged man when we checked out July 6th) was rude and condescending. The paper thin walls allow you to listen to the dogs barking all night in the room next to yours […] (yes, they allow pets). This hotel is extremely overpriced (even given the tourist destination and dates over a holiday). We stayed for 4 nights from July 2-6, and I was charged $822.33 for the displeasure of staying in this dump. This was admittedly my fault for booking late, and this was the only place available in town. In the course of my air force career, I have stayed in lodging the world over, and can say without a doubt that this was one of the worst. Not recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
great view from room, quaint townGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After a long day, we finally made it back to our room late, but were delighted to still find establishments open. We just walked two blocks and found a place still serving food!.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall our stay was nice. Horrible beds and pillows! Staff were so very nice and inviting though. Made you feel at home!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great customer service, walking distance to Main Street restaurants and shops. Free continental breakfast and hot tub was a great way to soak sore muscles after a day of skiing. It is a good deal and location is the most important reason for hotel selection followed closely by reasonable cost, cleanliness and comfort, definitely met expectations and […] would stay again Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good spot for Ice Climbers."
Ouray is beautiful. This is a good hotel for a couple of ice climbers who need a spot close to the ice climbs and down town. The discount for the hot springs is great. Breakfast was good enough for the calories one needs to be out doors all day. Very helpful and friendly owners and staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, convenient and very friendly"
Overall, a very nice motel, very friendly and cheerful staff. I would have enjoyed a more comfortable bed, but I've certainly slept on worse. Very clean and pleasant room, WiFi was handy. Ouray is certainly the crown jewel of the San Juans!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Comfort Inn in Ouray"
Not a good value for the price. The carpet was worn and stained. The decor is outdated. The stairs were a bit scary in the snow. The doors face outside so it's more like a motel. The breakfast was ok. The eggs were luke warm. The room the breakfast was in was nice. No swimming pool, which I expected since it's a Comfort Inn and the hot tub is out in […] the open where everyone can see it in front of the hotel next to the parking lot. Very convenient to main street and shops, restaurants. The discount tickets to the Ouray hot springs were nice - $6 for adults...half price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay in Ouray"
This hotel offers brand name recognition in the beautiful town of Ouray. Keep in mind that this hotel is priced accordingly with the area (mountain getaway) and is not designed as a luxury hotel. The rooms are good, but not exceptionally well-appointed. It offers a good amount of amenities (wireless internet, on-site laundry, continental breakfast, […] etc) and is located right in downtown Ouray. The breakfast is good and filling with decent variety. Numerous good restaurants are within walking distance (the best way to see the town.) I would recommend this hotel. Easy walk up to Main St. from this hotel. It could use some updating-old colors but the room and bathroom were very clean. Beds could use new mattresses. They actually still have smoking rooms which is pretty unheard of anymore. Breakfast wasn't bad-typical for a hotel. The owners were super nice.
"Paper thin walls, old and tired"
07/15/14 Gypsies-on-the-go Santa Barbara, California
This motel is located a block off the main street in town and is old and tired. We had the noisiest room in the place—right next to the entry and front desk. The walls were paper-thin and we could hear everything that was said at the front desk and by the entry. The staff was excellent, friendly, accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was not as complete as some other Comfort Inns, but adequate. There is no elevator. Our bathroom was not clean and I do not think I could recommend this motel.

Staff friendly and knowledge of the area. Rooms were clean and quiet. Motel clerk offered a variety of places to eat and visit. She recommended various ghost towns to visit, the candy shop who made scrap cookies (yummy) and Box Canyon hike. All were great places to visit.

The Comfort Inn is one block off the main street in Ouray. The owner's manage the property and the service is top rate. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The included breakfast is on par with what you will find at a Holiday Inn Express. We had a very late arrival (11:30 pm) and our room keys were taped to the office door when we arrived.

This is a good hotel with a helpful friendly staff. Small breakfast room. Good location as you can walk to the old downtown area easily. Clean, pleasant rooms with outside entrances. Probably an older facility but well maintained. The only problem is the high altitude and lots of steps to get to your room and there is NO elevator.

We stayed here overnight on a recent vacation. Our room was good, breakfast was filling. We were able to walk to town area. Owners were very friendly and gave us ideas on what to do, and gave us information on the area. Would stay there again.
"Historical town, doesn't mean the hotel rooms have to be!"

Last minute decision to stay at Comfort Inn, because of the brand name. Room had the smell of possibly new carpet, but was very dated with ceiling border and old furniture. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable enough, but still could not sleep due to the light coming through the window and reflecting off the mirror across from the bed where the curtain did not close properly. Also we did not realize this was a pet friendly room and neighbor had a BIG DOG that we could hear while trying to sleep in. Wanted to relax the evening we arrived but had no desire to use the Hot Tub that was out in parking lot while other guests were coming in. Breakfast the next morning had a nice variety, but the only thing that made this stay memorable were the owners that were friendly and engaging with guests.
"Very nice hotel, and way overpriced."

Stayed less than half the time we wanted to, due to the huge hotel bill. I know it was tourist season in Colorado, but if your little town wants more of my hard-earned money, stop gouging me on the room rate. Camping this year. Heck with hotels!.

Continental Breakfast Issue: We were discriminated during our stay at this hotel. On our 2nd day we were issued breakfast cards by Betty and were told to present it upon getting breakfast for the remaining days of our stay. As I recalled upon checking in, there was no mention of any breakfast cards (to be exact it's their business card) to be presented to the front desk/staff upon getting your breakfast. What we've noticed, we're the only people that were given those cards. As we observed more, people came in and out of that small kitchen without presenting any cards at all. We've even asked those people next to us about the breakfast cards and they said "what card?" they were not issued any cards at all! Dismayed, we have checked out the following day and moved to another hotel who did not discriminate their customers!
"Awesome place to stay in Ouray - Great Service"
04/07/14 lellieu Las Vegas, Nevada
The Econo Lodge is a good place to stay and I would have probably rated it 4/5, but it was the staff that made the entire stay. The room is a bit dated, but breakfast is amazing! The lobby is extremely inviting and we hung out on the couches a lot. The owner and his wife were so amazing. They were super friendly, gave us tips and information and the owner even helped us when we got stuck in the snow with our car. He used his ATV to help us get to the main road. I definitely want to come back to Ouray (but next time in the summer)
