There were groups of young people in the hotel preparing to perform at Kennedy Center. Unfortunately, they keep later hours than we do and we found it hard to sleep with the hollering, running up and down the hall, and slamming of doors that went on late at night. The next day when we checked out, the elevators were full of housekeeping staff moving […] large bins and equipment around, jamming up the elevators, leading to long waits for the elevator. They came knocking on our door before check out time wanting to know when we were leaving. This is not the kind of service I expected at a Sheraton. The Sheraton has a good rate and everything I needed. (free internet, a great bed, spacious room, and a good shower) The location is perfect. It is close to the Reagan Airport, close to good retail, and in walking distance to lots of good restaurants and bars on 23rd street. I was pleasantly surprised.

I prepaid for a room with a king bed. Checked in at 4:30pm and was told that they no longer had any rooms with king beds and i would need to take a room with 2 double beds. When I objected and reminded them that I had prepaid for a king room, they told me again there were no more king rooms available. When I said that this was unacceptable and I wanted […] a refund, all of a sudden a room with a king bed became available. My room was fine - clean and uneventful, neither good nor bad. The shuttle was fine. However, the bigger point is this ... the Crystal City neighborhood is chock-full of good mainstream hotels, such as Marriott, Hilton, etc. that won't screw abound with you about the room you booked. I suggest you go there and not the Sheraton. Read more

Loved the location, like the shuttle service and thank you for holding my bags till my flight went out. Everything was clean, only complaint was the slamming of the doors, really load and would wake us up. We walked to the mall and the little stores by the subway. This will be my favorite spot for now on.

Hotel was clean. Staff was excelent. But we had to change rooms in the middle of the night because a party, a very loud party, (the coins on the nightstand were vibrating) was booked in the banquet room one floor below. The noise went on till 2 AM. Even though the staff was apologetic and helped us move, the nights sleep was ruined.

It was very comfortable stay except one thing: guests in my next rooms were high school students and they were noisy even after midnight. However, it was not Hotel's fault. The bed was right hardness, pillows were very fluffy, and room was very clean. I will return this hotel if I will visit Washington D.C. again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and am impressed with the staff and their persistence in providing exceptional service. I had to depart prior to breakfast opening and they prepared a breakfast box for me the evening before. This hotel gets an A+ from me, the not always so easy to please traveler. Keep it up!!

I fought D.C. traffic during rush hour to arrive at this hotel. I imagine during no traffic, it would have been easier to get to. Also, the address is on South Eads St. NAV systems and delivery men don't have the new address plugged in yet. The parking garage is directly underneath the hotel, but extremely expensive. Valet service may have been that […] extra touch to make this hotel stay wonderful and worth the price (I may be showing too much of my lazy side though). Check-in was okay, the representatives did their best to be quick and professional. I was a little bit hassled about moving my car and I hadn't unloaded my bags at my room yet--I'm only one person. Wireless internet was fast and painless to log on. There was no noise in the surrounding rooms. My credit card was taken for "incidentals", but when I got to the room there was no mini drink or snack bar, so not sure what incidentals they would charge me for. Finally, the hotel rate was a great value. Probably the first time I booked a hotel from this website and felt like the guy in the commercials! It was a nice hotel, comfortable room, directly in the middle of D.C., with a lower price than its competitors. Once again, parking was too expensive. Breakfast could have been added...i saw some bagels in the dining area that I'm sure wasn't more than 50 cents each. :-) Read more

My fiancée and I needed a slight getaway to decompress and this was the perfect place The only thing I can think that would have made the stay better is if we had a room higher up so we can view the city of Washington DC otherwise this is a wonderful place to stay.

This was my first trip to our nations capital and I wanted it to be special. This was also me and my fiancé 3 year anniversary. I arrived in DC around 7 pm and my girlfriend was going to arrive around 12. I decided to go to a pub with some local friends, so I left my fiancé name with the front desk so she could get the room key if I wasn't back in time […] to meet her. They didn't issue her a key that night because a lack of competence from the entire staff that night. They made her walk through the snow at 11 at night through an unknown city for her to an adjacent hotel. They later comped my room but put a major unnecessary problem for the rest of our stay. This location is excellent for using the Metro system. Metro Station across the street. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Shopping across the street with restaurants, Post Office, shops, etc.
