The hotel, staff, restaurant were all excellent. The only problem is that I was charged 3 euro a day extra for each of the 4 days. It was above my prepaid amount. This seemed unusual and possibly inappropriate. It should be mentioned on the site if if is a standard. I stayed at 2 other hotels int he ssame region on this trip, including another Leonardo Hotel and this charge did not apply. I was told by the clerk that this was a country tax.

Our room was clean and very efficient. It was easy to get anywhere in the center of the city by walking, or if needed the public transportation was right there; even the train stations were within walking distance. There is a breakfast available at the hotel if desired. The wifi was also a bonus.

This hotel is very close to the train station, making it convenient for train travelers, but this is also quite a distance by foot from the center of the old city, where the Goethe house and other attractions are located. Ask for advice on the buses to the downtown area. Weimar is a great city with many cultural connections.

Capital of Thuringia, Erfurt has a medieval centre dominated by the gothic cathedral and St. Severus church. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und trotz der unmittelbaren Nähe zum Bahnhof sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer ist nicht sonderlich gemütlich. Störend fand ich ich die laute Ventilation, die sich nicht abstellen ließ. Nach 22 Uhr wird sie zum Glück für die Nacht automatisch ausgeschaltet.

Das Intercity Hotel Erfurt liegt - wie die anderen Hotels der Kette - direkt am Hauptbahnhof der Stadt, der sich zentral und direkt am Rande der Altstadt befindet. Leider stellte ich mir bei diesem Haus die Frage, nach welchen Regeln in Deutschland Sterne vergeben werden. Der von mir gewohnte 4 Sterne Standard liegt deutlich entfernt vom hier gebotenen. Bereits […] beim Check In vermisste ich eine herzliche Begrüßung, das Zimmer sorgte ebenfalls für kein Wohlfühlgefühl. Es war relativ klein, einfach eingerichtet und sehr hellhörig. Gespräche auf dem Flur (oder spielende Kinder) sind laut und deutlich zu hören. Das Bad hat die Anmutung einer ICE-Toilette, ist komplett mit Plastik verkleidet, Seife kommt aus dem Spender, Linolium (?) Fußboden, eine Wanne fehlt. Mein Tipp: in der City befinden sich zahlreiche andere (mir leider noch unbekannte) Hotels, die ich beim nächsten Mal und bei ähnlichen Preisen bevorzugen werde. Read more

Zentral am Bahnhof gelegen. Einige meter Fussweg zur Bahnhaltestelle und in einigen Minuten in der Innenstad. Bus/Bahnfahrkarte ist ja im Hotelpreis enthalten. Zu Fuss allerdings auch in ca 15min zu erreichen. Zimmer etwas klein, aber für eine 2-3 Tägige Stadbesichtigung OK. Der Bahnhof und die Gleise befinden sich direkt hinter den Hotel. Die Geräuschkulisse […] ist schon erheblich. Im Sommer ist hier warscheinlich, bei offenem Fenster nicht zu schlafen. Bei geschlossenem Fenster wars Ok. Zimmer zum Innenhof verlangen,die sind deutlich ruhiger. Frühstück ganz OK. Ales was man braucht. Essen im Hotelrestaurant nicht zu empfehlen. Kleine Auswahl. Bei 2 Fleischgerichten schon eins ausgegangen. In näherer umgebung gibt es mehrere möglichkeiten um Essen zu gehen, zu guten Preisen. Read more
