The staff was fantastic!! They allowed me to travel with my dog and the location was perfect. The only "less than perfect" score for me was that the ice machines did not work on either floor.

Good hotel for price in Gainesville, Ga

"Due for renovation"
Our reservation was for two rooms. The lady at the desk was real nice and had our rooms together. When my girlfriend went into the first room, she immediately comes out and says the ceiling has fallen. I go in and take a look and sure enough, the bathroom ceiling has fallen through. After getting our second room, we get settled in and find the sheets […] are stained and the bed leans to the right. Talking with my dad the next morning, he said as soon as he laid down in his bed the entire head of the bed collapsed. When I checked out the next morning, the lady behind the desk was barefoot. "Last choice"

"Nice Stay"

we requested 2 non-smoking rooms, I walked in and immediately the stinch of smoke took my breath away! I go wow, I guess if you request a non smoking room they just take the ashtrays from the previous guest out! Then I walk in the bathroom and there are two ashtrays! "Burn marks in sheets, door not wind tight, & more"
Not one to be picky as I normally get a cheap room for overnights and then leave early, but this one was the pits. Several (what appeared to be) cigarette burns in the sheets of my NON SMOKING room. It was great, the A/C worked great, and so did the Shower. these are big pluses to me. The only thing i didnt like was Smokers being allowed to get Nonsmokers rooms, and then smoking out side the rooms. everyone knows that they carry it back into the rooms. i konw this is hard to stop, but it should be. all in all it was a good place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel is a reasonable stay for a reasonable price-about what one would expect for the chain based on others that I have stayed at. The hotel is conveniently located next to the highway entrance/exit ramp. The staff are friendly and courteous. There is not much nearby, the surroundings are a fast food franchise, a gas station and a grocery store. […] Cornelia is a small town, however. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were standard. The only complaint is the advertised continental breakfast. It was only barely worthy of the name, consisting of stale cereal, stale honey buns, stale microwave waffles, concentrated oj and the like. The hotel is a good night's sleep but I would plan on seeking out the nearby 24hr diners for breakfast. The heart of downtown Cornelia is fairly close and easy to find if you have directions. The hotel was conveniently located by the interstate and close to a grocery store and other food places. From the outside the place looks like new, so must have been recently remodeled, however the bathroom does show the age of the place. Not bad, just aged. I was pleased with the location and surrounding neighborhood. We checked in and immediately left. The room was clean, so it did not occur to me to check the sheets. When we returned at night, I pulled back the spread and saw that the fitted sheet had something on it...I think it was maybe a rust stain, but being unsure, I called the front desk to report […] it. The clerk acted like she didnt want to do anything but finallysaid she would be there in a minute. She arrived with sheets and told me that she didnt have time to change them. "Hotel close to Helen"
We were looking for a hotel close enough o Helen and Commerce. First impression, it was a nice looking hotel, recently painted, convenietly located right accross from waffle house, Beds looked good as well as bathroom was clean. The bathtub looked old though and the electrical outlet for the fridge was common for the mocrowave and could not pplug them […] at the same time! But there was other plenty of them around the room. "Beware of unauthorized charges"
I paid full price for 4 people to stay here one night through Hotels.com. When I checked out, I was told the everything was paid for. Six day after my stay, I noticed a charge of $10 on my credit card. I called them up, and the Manager told me she will check into it and either give me a call or send me an email the next day. One week have passed, and […] I have not heard a response from them. I called Hotels.com and ask them for assistance twice already, and each time was told that they could not contact Days Inn Manager and I would have to call back again.
