Have stayed at this hotel many times - only change now is that all parking (surface and garage) carries a six dollar per night charge ... while not a major issue, it should not be imposed to begin with, and it would have been nice to have been notified prior to our arrival - nickel and dime operation? "Nice choice for staying near DC"
10miles, (20 minutes) to D.C. Very close to a big shopping mall with everything. The price is right for getting a decent place to stay over night near D.C. "$6.00 parking fee for overnight parking!"
The TV remote in the room didn't work, the room they reserved had one bed, when I had reserved a room with 2 beds, then when they changed it, we ended up in a "smoking" room! The $6.00 parking fee is a sham, they should just raise their room rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good stay, but some issues - dim bulbs in bathroom"
Unfortunately, my stay did not get off to a good start. Arrived and decided to eat at the lobby bar, but encounted some problems. All the draft beer taps were down and the cheeseburger I ordered took 30 minutes (I read every section of the Wall Street Journal while I waited); ordered medium but it was very rare - gave up trying to eat it. "Great on the surface, average once you stay..."
I like this hotel because they have a lap pool (with limited hours) and a decent 24 hour gym. I don't like the new $6/day parking charge. It's really stupid since everyone parking there is clearly there for the hotel (the metro stop will be walking distance once it's finished). I feel like you should get free parking at this hotel if you are staying […] there -- there shuttle isn't THAT extensive and full service. That said, my first shower was COLD, I complained to the front desk and they took care of it that day. I had some trouble with their 'green initiative' as the hotel staff took the door hangar and then proceeded to clean my room anyway. Again, upon talking with the front desk, I did not have any further problems. The wifi pricing is exorbitant and I find that pretty annoying (~$13/24 hours or $50/week). "Lost in the hotel"
I was placed in what seemed to be the 'cheap' wing of this massive hotel. It was a very long hike from the lobby (which is pretty fancy) to the dirty carpeted section I was staying in. The signs are extremely confusing in this hotel. Each time I tried to find my way back to the lobby I ended up in a stairwell or abandoned conference hall. I've never […] been so disorientated in a hotel in all my years of staying in them.The ice machine didn't work on my floor, I called about it and it never got fixed during my stay even though the front desk assured me someone would be taking care of it right away. For two days I kept walking by the same dirty room service dishes that were left in the vending machine area. My room was nice but no extra tp - I was using kleenex by the end of the stay, and I could hear every door slam on the entire wing. My most frustrating complain though is again how bad the signs were to navigate around. It's really frustrating to lug heavy roller bags around and end up shelpping them down and up stairs instead of elevators. Also cannot say the burger I had in the hotel restaurant agreed with me at all. Perhaps people who pay full price get a better deal in this place. Got there late, called to make sure reservation was still good. Reception lady very helpful. Rooms in the tower are fantastic andi had gotten a superb deal. Less than 100. I will try to be objective here. We arrived after a major storm had left the area. The hotel had only one working elevator and a large group arrived during our check in. We waited on line for an hour. We were then told we would be on floor 20, but the room was not ready. We waited for hours for them to ready our room. We were then switched to the 16th […] floor. We waited forever for the elevator, and decided to try to walk as far as we could. I have a leg injury and after five flights of stairs with luggage, we try the elevator again. We board and are taken back to the first floor, where staff crams in with two carts of luggage and we were finally on our way. No drinkable water, which my daughter was not told and we found out from tv. I had to use the service elevator at one point and staff seemed put off at this- I was not about to walk 16 flights. I also had to step over garbage bags which blocked my exit from the public ladies room as the woman watched me try to get out. The room was quite nice and and most staff was nice.
