We stayed for 2 nights and it was nice to come to the room with a personalized welcome letter and cookies! However the smell of cigarrette smoke in the hallway was overbearing. The room itself was clean and neat but the 2 beds were full size not queen size. This was a big downer for my husband and I we did not sleep well because the bed was so small. […] The internet service was good (Free is a Plus+) and there was a Keurig in the room which was a HUGE plus+++! Very nice hotel, very clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable. Upon checking in, there were a couple of functions going on in the hotel so parking was an issue. I was highly disappointed with my stay. I'm a gold member with Hotels.com which means I stay at a lot of hotels. From the beginning the service was horrible. There's a sign for valet, but no valet service. I needed a bell boy to get my luggage. I was promised one. Yet no one was given to me. The central air unit was loud. The walls were thin. I was carrying out books and my luggage with great effort and the concierge only looked on as I struggled. My books and items that I purchased in the gift shop fell to the floor which caused damage to the delicate items that were purchased. I asked the concierge for help but only recieved a stare. When we booked this hotel we requested a roll away bed. Upon arrival at 4:30 pm the room was not ready for us to check into and there were no roll away beds available. The main reason why we choose this property was because it offered a roll away bed. Also, because of the wait to check in - we were late to the LSU game that evening. :(

Unless I missed something, this wasn't worth the nightly rate. I've had comparable rooms for 30% less. The hot water in the shower wasn't working, but a call to the front desk had that corrected in about 10 minutes.

Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Location was about a mile away from LSU and close to everything! Nice pool and fitness center and resturaunt. Great hotel!!! I would definately go back!

Exceptionally friendly staff. No noise in our room from the I-10. We were given some water and chips on arrival and then cookies arrived later in the evening. Places to eat close by. Hotel aging slightly, and more staff needed on reception as the receptionist had to answer phones as well as booking us in. However, she was charming.

We chose this hotel based on its pet policy, which is very reasonable. Our room was well appointed and "surface clean," but also well worn (carpet was badly stained, and not from pets, in places) and clearly in need of a deep cleaning. Positives: Linens were great--very comfortable bed, duvet and pillows, bathroom was very clean, room service was quick and the cheeseburger and fries were delicious, TV reception and station coverage was great, good adjacent location for my morning meeting in the medical district nearby, good air conditioning. Negatives: The closet loset door was off […] it's rails, dirt was on the wall below the window, instant coffee was terrible and not matched to the instant coffee maker type, staff was not helpful two times: 1) I called ahead to ask some basic questions about checking in and was treated as if I was wasting the staff member's time and 2) On check-in there was only one staff member to receive guest, this was about 4:30pm, the guests ahead of me were looking for double rooms, they were told that there were no double rooms and that their rooms weren't clean yet, another staff member showed up and began to register me, she put me in a double room, I suggested that because it was only me checking in, I would be fine with a king room and could trade rooms with one of the other guests, the staff member asked the manager, the manager told the staff member that "the room probably isn't ready and it isn't a king." The staff member apologized and thanked me for my offer. I got my key card and went up to my room that was reasonably clean and was a double. Read more

Recently my husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for his birthday. The hotel was in great location, thats why we booked it. The beds and pillows were AMAZINGLY soft, and the room was very clean. Will definetly be staying here again!

The staff was very accomodating! and based on the fact that we had to transfer to a different hotel to this one did not hinder the way they treated us. The pool is awesome and is actually salt water and not chlorine. The only drawback was that the beds are ln full size in the room we had. But all in all this hotel is great!!

This was one of best experiences that I have ever had, as far as the hotel is concerned. The staff was knowledgeable, curteous, and very helpful. The gym in the hotel was far better than most, even had free weights. The bed was extremely comfortable and hotel was clean and well maintained throughout. I recommend this to all.

There were 3-4 VERY large events going on at the hotel the night I stayed, which made for a TERRIBLE parking situation and a very busy lobby(only one fire drill). But I arrived early to check-in, and within 10 minutes, I was on my way to my room. Very accomodating and quick!

This hotel was not ideal for a family - no microwave or refrigerator (we could have rented a refrigerator for $25 if there were any available- there was not) and double room not available with queen size beds (double beds uncomfortable). The room, however was clean and attractive. Bell staff seemed offended that I did not want help getting in my own […] luggage and insisted that they help then expected a tip. Through Expedia this was a good price but later found comparable prices at the door at motels that had the amenities I was looking for. For a 3 and a half star hotel I hoped for an indoor pool. Stayed there one night during a multi day trip. It is near the highway but noise was not a problem. It is a quick drive across Interstate 10 to a number of restaurants and bars. Room was clean, internet was complimentary, as it should be.
