Very helpful staff who made special cookies for us because of a nut allergy. Had to call about the sleep number bed but it was fixed within 30 minutes. Overpriced food. Beautiful hotel on the inside. Our room had two doors, which was odd. Great for adults...not so much for children.

We booked a room for our daughter's graduation so that one of our daughters could stay in the room with us. Unlike the Embassy Suites we usually stay at in Columbia, SC, there was only one bathroom and the refrigerator was so small that it couldn't hold wine or beer that we wanted to keep cold. Nice staff but not very useful for our stay.

It was the worst night I've every had at a hotel. The hotel itself is ok. But, the people next to me were SO loud that I never fell asleep. After working ALL day 9+ hours... you don't want to hear a bunch of noise. I called downstairs at 3am and the hotel sent security to the room next door. I was a little disappointed by some of the aspects if this hotel. First thing our keys wouldn't work and were told to use the phones in our hallway but there were none. The rooms were nice and beds comfy. The fire alarm woke us up at 4:00 am and we were offered free breakfast. Coffee wasn't free. Restaurant was pricey for mediocre food. The hotel rooms need updating. The outer rooms that we stayed in were by the freeway and the noise was so loud we could not sleep. Also the air conditioner was so loud it too kept us awake however, at least it was loud enough to drown out the noise of traffic. I recently booked with one of your hotels The Doubletree in Columbia, SC this past weekend. My partner and I arrived about 3:30p.m., a little after check-in time. As we entered the front entrance there was a line forming from the front desk to the second set of glass double doors. This was kind of unusual we both thought, but we figured it’s close […] to arrival time so maybe everyone arrived at the same time. Never thinking we’ll be in line for an hour; by the way we were in town for a Comedy Show….scheduled for 5:00p.m. :-( To make a long story short we didn’t get to check-in until 4:30p.m which meant we didn’t get to shower and change for the show nor eat. So of course I was very upset having to attend the show in my traveling clothes. Management wasn’t helpful nor tried to redefine the situation. Read more

This is a nice Doubletree and consistant with their high quality Hilton standards. The layout is a bit odd, they have two towers and the signage to what rooms are in which tower is actually wrong, and the front desk person actually sent us to the wrong tower. Perhaps it's so new they have't figured that out yet. They charge $10. per day for a mini fridge, […] even if you are a gold member ...not sure if this is a standard policy now but I have yet to come upon this at any other Hilton hotel. I thought this was really ridiculous, perhaps a $10 fee throughout your stay would be more appropriate. My colleagues were there for a week and one has a special diet that requires items to be refrigerated. Other than these few oddities the hotel is nice with a large spacious work out room, although it did lack the disinfectant to clean machines before/after use. Read more

Nice amenities...great reataurant and bar located inside. Sleep number bed was awesome. Flat screen tvs and very nicely decorated rooms. A couple downsides were there were a few maintenance issues such as a towel rack coming out if the wall...a brokenlight bulb socket. When we checked in we had three people, we only got two cookies. I had no hot water in my room. I reported this to the front desk, and they wanted to send an engineer up, but my son was still sleeping, so I asked them to wait. I felt that they should have done something like comped a breakfast or something, because I had no hot water to take my shower. I […] moved rooms and got the new room keys. I left the hotel for the day and came back around dinner time. My son realized that he had forgotten something in the old room. I was told that they did not find it. I had to call down for towels and wash cloths after the second night. I did not notice that the ice bucket had not been cleaned and glass replaced after the first night until the third day. It takes a long time for the water to get warm enough for a shower. The registration desk was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was noisy and the service and temperament of the desk people in charge didn't make us feel like they cared one way or the other. Every evening we had to ask for towels where there was barely 1 left in our room. I will never stay at that hotel again and would never recommend it to a friend or associate.

I did not get the valet parking or any help with my luggage. I was told to park my vehicle in C section and unload my luggage there by whom I assume was the manager.
