Rooms could use some renovating, furniture is old and chipping on sides of tables, etc. But overall the room was clean and it was quiet. Staff was friendly, especially the guy in the coffee shop.

During a business trip I spent 2 nights at the Sheraton Long Island. Everything was clean and comfortable. Only detail, available parking was limited to the back of the hotel with a long walk to my room mainly because of highly attended functions in the ball rooms.

We went for one night, friday night, the lady at the front desk gave me a room on the first floor, it was the furthest room at the end of the forth side of the hotel (room #181). I went in and it smelled like smoke and chlorine. I realized its a better idea to get a room on the higher floors since the smell was coming from the pool. So we went back […] and the lady at the front desk gave me another room, after complaining about the smell, she said they had just put in new carpets. So she gave me another room on the second floor which was right above the first room. This room smelled again (281), so I went back and she said that there is no availability since i was so early to check in, the time was 2:55 so I told her, I could definitely wait 5 mins til the actual 3:00 check in time. She said well there is no guarantee i can give u a room in the higher floors, after waiting for another 5 mins, she said there are no more rooms available, its either 181 or 281. That is when my mom complained and then she was more friendly, I guess she was trying to take advantage of my age. There were other people that kept coming in to check in and she gave them all a room on 4th, 5th and 6th floors. she went and spoke with her manager, after waiting for so long, she did give us a room on the third floor finally. The service desk was quick but she appeared to be lying about the carpets being renewed in those rooms and about the availability of the rooms. Read more

The lobby was gorgeous and the hotel staff was awesome.They had a bar, restaurant and Starbucks coffee. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large with a separate sitting area and desk. The room needed new carpet and the walls needed to be freshened.

We had stayed at the hotel after my sister's wedding at the Brentwood Country Club. The hotel was super clean, super convenient, and the staff was amazingly friendly. We had forgotten to ask for a crib to be set up in our room, and even late at night our request was handled very promptly and with a smile! liked the complimentary breakfast included on "club level"- fresh fruit, french toast, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water. room was clean, bathroom could use new sink. lobby was nice, good bar. Allowed to check in early.

How a hotel can stay in business with filthy carpets, furniture, etc. is outrageous. Even getting a drink @ the bar, not only did the bartender pour about 3 oz. of wine, the glass was even dirty. Stayed for about 1/2 hour and checked out...can't imagine if the carpets in room and couch were filthy what is the condition of the bedding?!

Excellent experience, except, how can a place like this in a business area like it's in, not offer free wifi all over the building? Seems a bit dumb. While there's plenty of parking, it's just not set up right. Also they need a way better restaurant. It leaves alot to be desired! that goodness there are plenty of places around.

Room smelled smoky. Window looked out on indoor pool. Room wasn't serviced. When asked at desk, was told the room was supposed to be closed for renovations. Aside from that, facilities were okay, but not what I expect from a Sheraton.

8 of us ate in the dining room. Service was great. Front desk was friendly and kind. Very nice. The only problem was we had two rooms, 268 and 270. It was rainy on Dec 26th and the window in 268 leaked and the dripping water kept my daughters awake. The front desk was apologetic when we told them the next morning.

Nice lobby. Room was tired. First floor was confusing - so many corridors with no directional signs. Staff on club level seemed to be bothered by having guests present. Club lounge smelled of smoke.

This was our third stay at the Sheraton because it is one of the closest to our family there. The quality has gone down. Our heat was cold, our carpet was all buckled, we had four hangers and they ran out of tub mats. It should be noted that workers from out of state had been staying there to help out with the hurricane and they were at the bar in droves […] every night and their families took over the entire lobby. Being a victim of Hurricane Sandy, my family was forced to look for accommodations. Not only were we lucky enough to find a place to stay, but we were lucky enough to have a manager who was in a similar situation and looked to entertain all the kids at the hotel. Upon or arrival we were told about movies being shown later that night. My boys enjoyed […] the movie and enjoyed the all day run of movies the following day. In addition, it was great to see the Sheraton staff work so hard to make sure the out of state workers who were on long island to assist in helping get long island back on it's feet. The night time staff made sure all those workers were fed and could relax for a few hours before going back out to work.....I applaud their efforts. The gym in this hotel is great as well. Their treadmills are state of the art and it was a pleasure to work out in this gym for no additional cost. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Read more

My only complaints were the rug in the room was well worn & needed to be updated and If I wanted to use my laptop in my room I had to pay 10 per day. WiFi was free in the lobby only.

This hotel has clearly not had an overhaul since it opened probably 30 years ago. The pool was murky looking and repeated complaints to the front desk were ignored. The lobby was clean and welcoming, however, our room left me speechless. it was unbelievably disgusting. The carpet was so dirty, it had large red stains in several places. I did discuss it with management and they were kind and apologetic. The service was fine. The quality of the property is not up to the standard i had expected of a Sheraton.

This hotel has easy access to 495 and is centrally located for business travel. Sheraton truly has the most comfortable beds and this hotel is no exception. We had to move twice into new rooms. In the first room the shower didn't work. The second room the air conditioner stopped working. The beds in all three of the rooms were uncomfortable. I'm confused, because the web reviews were good. Would not recommend or stay here again.
