"Not at all what was expected!"
We planned this stay for my fiance's birthday. What was to be a special occasion turned into a fiasco. As we were checking in we were told that if we wanted to upgrade to a King room we could, however, our reservations were for a King Club already. We accepted the upgrade and went to our room. The customer service lady at the front desk was less than […] cordial. She was short and condescending to us. We were supposed to have had 1 King Bed, however when we got to our room, there were 2 Fulls. We called the front desk and were told to bring our belongings back to the front desk and they would take a look at the situation. Once we got back to the lobby, there was a considerable line to wait to see the clerk. When we did get our turn (again) she said, "Oh, it's you". She looked at our room information and said she gave us the wrong room. No, I'm sorry, Nothing. Once we finally got to our "correct" room, there was not 1 clean towel to be had. Once again we had to contact the front desk and this time, was no different than the last two. No personality or apology for the inconveniences, at all. We had reservations at a comedy club within the complex, but by this time had missed scheduled time for the show to begin. So with that trying to still make the best of it, we decided to take the "hotel offered" shuttle to the casino. "Did not get the correct room."

Had a confirmed Hotels.com reservation for KING Deluxe room; upon checking in about 2:30-3PM they informed that they had our reservation, but that NO king rooms were available; were sold out and full, and tried to put us into room with 2 twin beds. There was only luke warm water in shower and that was most un pleasant. That would keep me from staying again. My husband owns a home building business and said the protecting device was set wrong or broken. That is the device that u have for liaibilty to keep the water from being too hot and hurting. It was a fairly nice hotel, but I didn't appreciate being told that they didn't have a room available, only to find out on hotels.com that there was a room available. Then, when I got my room, there was a large puddle of water in the floor that had soaked up into the bed skirts of both beds. There were old stains on them as well, indicating this wasn't […] the first time. Furniture had been placed in an attempt to cover a large part of the area. The room smelt of mold too. There was "random" hair left in the bathroom, and the floor was dirty. I didn't make a scene at the hotel, but I did inform them. There didn't seem to be much concern. "Bad hotel with great workers"
Booked 2 rooms at the towers but was moved to the chalet without notice and or apology. The first rooms did not have remote controls not did the sliding glass doors lock (on the ground floor). The second room was attached to the elevator shaft which was extremely noisy. Again 1 of the 2 rooms did not have a remote and the replacement remote that was […] brought up did not work. The 3rd room change had a broken lock to enter the room but would open if hot hard enough. There were dirty glasses on tables in the hallways as well as a leaky ceiling in the sitting area of the lobby. The hotel it self was not great at all however the staff was very accommodating. Without asking, they comped 1 of our rooms for both nights, gave a room credit to be used for room service, as well as breakfast vouchers. On top of that we were given multiple options for upcoming stays at the Sheraton brand hotel. Clean and nice place, but a little pricey being it was in Westport, but we decided to pay the extra because it had an indoor and outdoor pool where the kids could swim regardless of the weather. Ends up though, the outdoor pool was at a different Sheraton on the other end of this shopping center - if we wanted to go to the outdoor pool, we had to drive […] - how disappointing and certainly misrepresented by the advertisement of this Sheraton!!! On top of that, the next day after checking out, there was a $30 charge on my card !! and we had paid for the room in full, before even checking in. I called and they said they always charge $30 in case of room damages and they remove the charge in 3-5 days. I was disgusted honestly - how can you charge me without telling me, without asking me, without a receipt, without my signature on my card!!!! I will never stay here again - NOT worth the money. "Escape From The Heat"
I really enjoyed my stay. I had 3 Grandchildren and they enjoyed themselves too. Especially the Pool. I personally don't like small pools but the kids enjoyed themselves. "Very comfortable, but the walls are thin"
The hotel room was beautiful, the bed extremely comfortable and the hotel itself was lovely. There was a family reunion going on and I think they took up the ENTIRE hotel. The night I got there the ice machines on two floors were empty, the 5 out of 6 computers in the lobby did not work and each night I had to deal with the noise of people in the hallway […] and next door. It was a poor reflection on my neighbors more than the hotel - I don't think they realized how thin the walls were. The hotel was in close proximity to several restaurants and a Starbucks and very close to the area freeways - which took me, within 10 minutes to at least 2 different malls (and The Cheesecake Factory!). The hotel had a family reunion going on that weekend I was there, so there werre crowded elevators, slow elevators, many families and warm and friendly people. But, the hotel was so busy they forgot to clean my room. The previous people there had a rollaway bed and the pull out sofabed all done up, and so I had to call housekeeping to come and take […] the rollaway bed out and make the sofabed a couch again. All was pleasant until I got ready to go to bed, apparently they had also forgotten to change the linen on the bed. So it was 11:30 PM and I'm all ready for bed, etc... not calling the front desk. "A weekend nightmare"
My stay was horrible. We checked into the Sheranton Hotel at Westport in St. Louis Missouri at 10 pm July 6th. The Hotel was clean. The receptionist was nice and promptly checked us in we were given room nbr 611, the room smelled, was dark and gloomy, we were given another room on the 12th floor 1203, the room was clean and nice. Issue number room the […] club lounge had teenage children occupying the room the entire stay there were trash in the halls ways, elevator and children were unattended at all hour of the night, the teenagers were playing and bumping into furniture and walls all night long. On Saturday the exact same thing started over again, this time I went to Management and gave a formal compliant. The Manager was overwhelmed with compliants from other guest. The police was called as well as the security to monitor the late night traffic. This was the worst weekend. It was obvious that the hotel went through some major remodeling, but signs of its old structure was apparent. "Not for travel weary passengers arriving from STL"
Not for travel weary passengers arriving from STL airport. Free shuttle that is supposed to run every 30 minutes showed up after 10 phone calls to the hotel and a 90 minute wait. Airport shuttle also delayed next morning. Driver said I should have called another hotel to get him to come. Who knew? Hotel upgraded my room, which was nice but not restful […] because of having to constantly fiddle with the temperature. Had to pay $10 for net, but that was expected. Staff I encountered in person lacked customer friendlly attitudes, especially when it came to the final billing where I was cheated, resulting in an argument with the front desk because some guests (unknown to me) had charged their bar tab (> $50) to my room. Only when I insisted the hotel call the police, did the charge get removed from my bill, allowing me to continue to my connecting flight. I am young and have my whole life ahead of me to avoid all Sheraton brand hotels. We booked a room at this hotel so we could have a night away for ourselves without the baby. We were looking forward to using the two pools that are described, and being in an upscale hotel. There was only one pool - which was very small and extremely cold (we got out after 5 minutes because we couldn't stop shivering) - and no hot tub. The front desk told us we could use the pool at their "sister hotel" which is across the Westport plaza, but who would honestly want to walk that far in their swimsuits, and then walk back dripping wet?
