"Unfortunate party people in the room next door"
Unfortunately we had a bad experience because of the party people in the room next door to us that woke us up at 2 a.m. and when you get woke up like that it is difficult to get back to sleep. Stayed in November and it was great to have live entertainment and restaurant/bar on premises so we didn't have to leave the hotel. The hotel room was clean and a little updated. "Beautiful location but horrible hotel"
The hotel is in desperate need for updates and for proper cleaning. The ceiling in the room had mold; dirty towels were provided as clean, the bathroom was from a different era; the hotel is smelly and full of dogs. The pool is horrible. "Close to beach but terrible ocean views."
Our room was on the pet floor so our view was the roof of the convention center and all we could hear were the air conditioning units running day and night. Check in at 4:00, don't arrive early our room wasn't available until 4:30. Electrical outlets were not all working. The coffee maker and microwave were on a extension cord and you need to unplug […] one to plug in the other. Parking is a nightmare if you can find parking at the hotel spaces are tight, if you can't find parking you will have to park across the street and run across a 6 lane highway. Our last night we had a water leak into our room, only to find out the next morning it was a toilet from the room above. Our only compensation was a guaranteed parking space 2 nights and out pet fee was removed from our bill. The new front desk manager is very rude. I enjoyed my stay there with my husband. We requested top floor and they were able to accommodate us. The view was spectacular, although I do wish the balcony was larger with seating. Stayed for 3 nites. Check in/out was painless and quick. Room was large enough and quiet. Overall didn't have any complaints. We had a very relaxing three day stay. The hotel was right on the beach, had two pools, an ok gym, several bars, live music, great three-hour-long happy hour and an "excellent seafood buffet." "Over the 4th"
Stayed over the 4th of July. It was nice. Rooms were clean and smelled clean. Everyone that worked there that we encountered were pleasant. The pool is a little small for the amount of people at the hotel on a crowded weekend. Even smaller is the walk-way around it. I liked the location of this motel. It is way up north and away from the boardwalk traffic. I did not realize they allow dogs. I HATE dogs. There were a lot if dogs there. We do clean our pools several times a day, and chemical checks are run by our own pool staff and spot checked by the town. It's true that we aren't within walking distance to the boardwalk, but we don't claim to be. The town bus runs between the inlet and the state line, and you can ride for $3 all day. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and directly across the street. I hope you reported the AC as not working while on property, as we try to resolve issues for guests immediately.
