"Review of Crowne Plaza Billings MT"
Everything with the Hotel was fine except the reason I chose to stay at the hotel, It had a restaurant. I had two meals in the hotel. Both were substandard in my opinion. They went back without much being eaten. I went out to eat and will say was very pleased with one restaurant (across the street - Walkers) and not very pleased with Don Luis. I am really not a picky eater.

"it was bad"
The carpet in the room had a big water stain in the middle of it. The bathroom had hair in the shower. the shower was plugged, the toilet was plugged. The elevators made you stand around for 15 minutes. There is no parking that is close. There are homeless people sleeping on the streets around the hotel. The beds where terrible. you could hear into the next room really well. It was buy far one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I left the hotel with my family on the second night and went to another hotel. So I was charged for three nights and there was nothing that the front desk could do because it was threw you.

I love the character of this hotel. It's an old building, but the rooms have updated modern furnishings. Very comfortable, spacious rooms and great front desk service! I was very pleased with the stay.

"Do not recommend"
I travel frequently for work as well as fun, and typically book 15 to 20 hotel stays per year. This hotel provided the lowest level of customer service that I have ever experienced. The staff members were not friendly, courteous, or professional. As an example, my room had a broken faucet (no cold running water) and I was told that it was not able to be repaired and that no other rooms were available. After complaining at the front desk, another room was found, but it was a less expensive room with 2 double beds instead of 1 king. I was told that the hotel would not refund the difference in price because I had booked through Expedia and "they have the money". Overall a terrible experience at a run-down hotel.

"awesome stay"
With exception of being located in downtown Billings, the hotel was awesome especially since it had a Starbucks on the first floor. Our room was very spacious and the king size bed was a nice touch. The sheets were a little rough, but still comfy. The only thing we wished our room had was a refrigerator. I knew the room didn't have one, but I think it would have made it better. Another great thing about the hotel was the convenience of having a bar on the first floor. It was great because we didn't have to worry about traveling to a bar and then how to get back. So for us it was a great place to stay and would stay there again.

After spending 13 hours on the road the Crown Plaza did not have our reservation. They gave our room away even though the money had already been withdrawn from my account, They tried to save face by sending us to another hotel but only reserved one bed for 4 people. What good is using Hotels.com to book a reservation if it will not be honored?

"Double the Price, Half the Service"
Low ceilings in parking garage, all spots say “Reserved.” Card key didn’t work until third trip to front desk from 17th floor - family waited in hallway. Full size beds, not queen - cramped. A/C was loud and interfered with sleeping. Called early evening to ask for rollout bed or crib for our kids, was told very curtly that they didn't offer those. Paid extra for breakfast when booking, planned on making a trip by myself to grab a plate, then back to room to give my wife a turn. We always do this at hotels because we don’t feel like taking all our little kids. Tickets for breakfast said it was buffet style. Arrived for breakfast, asked if I could take a plate back to my room - was told we could have room service deliver it to us for an additional fee. First elevator I tried back to room wouldn’t respond. Wife agreed with ‘no’ vote to double pay and/or wait, decided to pack up and check out. Checking out, I asked for refund on unused breakfast option. After five minute wait, told no because of booking with hotels.com. Explained elevator problem; told to use key card to activate the elevator. Considered explaining I had tried that and suspected my card wasn't working, didn't feel he wanted to hear my explanation, didn’t feel it would do very much good if he did. Spent double here what is typical for a nicer room in another very nice hotel in Billings, was expecting the deluxe treatment on our way to Yellowstone. Unfortunately, left feeling we had overspent for a bad experience.

"OK look of a OLD Hotel under the skin"
Appearances are key and this hotel looks nice. But once you utilize some of the basic essentials you will notice its aged a good bit. Elevators are less than adequate in space, speed, and appearance for this hotel. The rooms look nice at first but most of the electrical outlets are worn out sockets> when you attempt to recharge your phone or use the iron, most outlets do not supply power unless you do significant wiggling. The plumbing on the 15th floor is noisy. When others fush sometimes the septic water backflows in the sink. The carpets are very old and worn out. On the positive note, the beds are nice and comfy, and WiFi works well. If I had to chance to stay in Billings again I would NOT go here but instead go to a much newer hotel,i.e. Hampton Inn. This Crown Plaza is NOT worth the value of $100/night.

Nice room. Bed was a bit uncomfortable-too hard. Street construction makes getting into the hotel a bit difficult but that's not the hotel's fault.

"Horrible"
I drove for eight hours, only to be sent to floor nine, three different times. My key would not work on my room door. On the fourth try, I just asked for a different room. They gave me a room right next to the 6 elevators. I hardly got any sleep for 3 nights in a row.

"Best thing in Billings"
After a very long, hot day of driving, it was so nice to open the door to a spacious, nicely appointed room. Cool, quiet and comfortable, just what we needed. Room service breakfast was great, service perfect.

"Executive Room in an Old Hotel"
Got this booking by expedia.com that supposedly was a non-smoking room, but because of the ventilation, you could still smell smoke. The carpet did not look clean, athroom bhad a lot of water spots in the ceiling, the steel door latch for security was torn and not functional, and the night receptionist could not trouble shoot appropriately--attitude was not good for a hotel staff.

I have discussed your feedback with both our Executive Housekeeper and our Chief Engineer, who assure me they will take this opportunity to retrain their room inspectors so that rooms with issues are not prematurely released for rent. I am also sorry that you experienced a smoke odor during your stay. Our hotel underwent a full renovation that was completed in 2008 at which point we converted to a 100% non-smoking facility. Unfortunately, there are times when guests may not necessarily respect our non-smoking policies. While our team tries to watch for these situations, they don’t necessary find the offenders in a timely manner. Again I sincerely apologize that this incident affected your stay. A nice hotel, yet there's no continental breakfast, no hot tub, and nothing special about the nearly $200 per room. Meh...won't stay here again. Not because its not a decent place...it is. It's just not worth the price.

"Disappointing experience"
The hotel lobby and common areas were ok. Our room's lack of cleanliness and the poor customer service ensures that I will not be a guest again. Upon check in, it was obvious that our room had not been properly cleaned. Candy bar wrappers, granola bars and bottle caps were easily visible under and around the night stand and dresser. It took 2 days and 2 trips to the front desk to get the room cleaned. Additionally, we had 4 registered guests (2 adult, 2 children) in our room for a 5 night stay. With 4 registered guests, we were consistently given only 3 sets of bath towels. Everyday resulted in additional calls to the hotel desk and housekeeping. Despite the requests to notify housekeeping of the error, the notes were ignored. We were in town on vacation and spent long days out on the road. After being out for a 15 hour day, we had to go down to the desk at 10:30 pm to make requests for towels before we could put the kids to bed. Phone calls to housekeeping only resulted in an answering machine. I will not be staying here again.

This is supposed to be one if the best hotels in Billings, but we were underwhelmed with the service. Although somewhat friendly the staff did not go out of there way to help you. I found hair from the previous occupants in the bathroom. The halls were very noisy. Parking is terrible.

You can request a refrigerator for your standard room from the front desk, but we have a limited number available and these are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Rooms on our executive floors (15-17) come equipped with a refrigerator (and fantastic views!) I have to agree that downtown Billings can be somewhat quieter on Sundays. There are a few local restaurants open, including our very own Montana Sky restaurant on the 20th floor. There are also several attractions close by with Sunday hours, such as the Moss Mansion and Yellowstone Art Museum. "Great atmosphere, disappointed in comfort of bed."
If you have a large truck and trailer I highly recommend you do not stay here. They were very pleasant and helped us by parking our trailer (unhitched) in a no park zone in the parking lot, but I felt bad having to do that. Our truck stuck out of the parking spot quite a way, as did other trucks. Compact cars are the best for the parking lot in front of the hotel. We did not use the parking garage on the next block, it may have fit our truck better, but we never looked. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. Loved having Starbucks downstairs for when we woke up. We asked for queen beds, but unfortunately were put it doubles. They were so small, and very uncomfortable! I slept maybe an hour or two total, as did my husband and daughter. The sheets were also very scratchy, and felt like I was sleeping in a hospital bed. That was the only downfall, but because of that, I will not be staying again.

However, I am sorry to hear that other aspects of your stay were not 100% satisfactory. I am very sorry that the beds proved to be too small. Our two-bed rooms come equipped with the size of bed that best fits the layout of the room. Our central reservation system does not distinguish between the actual sizes of the beds our two-bed accommodations, only the number of beds in the room. You can specifically request a bed size when you check in, and our front desk agents will do their best to accommodate your request based on availability. I have also addressed your comments concerning the sheet scratchiness with our Executive Housekeeper. She will be discussing this issue with her laundry personnel to ensure we are using the correct amount of cleaning agents to avoid any scratchy feel on our linens. I agree that parking in downtown Billings can be a challenge at times! We do have a lot adjacent to our building, and we validate for parking at the City of Billings Park Two which is connected to our second floor via a Skybridge. "Met My Expectations"
I stayed here two nights in the Executive Room on the 17th Floor. It was great. Pillows were so comfortable - slept like a baby. We had a nice view. I thought it came with a full breakfast but only gave me one coupon for a continental breakfast. You can park in the garage next door which had an attached sky walk on the second floor which was convenient. You have to get your ticket validated before you leave. I would highly recommend this hotel. My grown kids walked to Hooligans for drinks which was close by - no driving required. Good location and looks like nicest hotel in the area.

"Happy to stay again."
Great location downtown with covered parking, walking distance to anything downtown and easy drive to metra, medical and shopping mall. Free airport transportation. Last time I was in Billings I stayed elsewhere and was sorry I did. They have some construction in the lobby but it was really no problem at all. The bed was really comfortable. It is so nice to have room service and I've often had whatever special they have for the night and have not been disappointed.

"Right Downtown"
We enjoyed it, food in Montana Sky Restaurant was very good, though service was slow. Everything was very clean! We had to call for more bathroom supplies which we got promptly with a friendly server. The bed was awesome! Very comfortable

"Very nice, great downtown location"
Everything about the hotel was quite nice with only two exceptions -- the elevators were strangely bouncy, and one of them went only to floors 9 and 11 on one night, no matter the button pushed. Also, during one shower, the hot water cut in and out. Another shower was just fine. Other than that, we had no complaints, and everyone was very nice. Great location too.

"The perfect view"
This was the best hotel experience i have ever had. The staff was excellent, the room was gorgeous, and the food was incredible. We stayed on the 16th floor and the the view of the entire city was breathtaking. I will definitely stay again!

"I Expect More from a Hotel This Expensive"
The Crowne Plaza - Billings is a nice hotel, don't get me wrong, but it's not as nice as they seem to think it is nor for what they charge. We reserved a Queen bed and were given two doubles. (I'm 5'-11", my feet hung off the end, and it was a little TOO small for a couple our age . . . even on Valentine's day.) The blankets are some waffle-like material (that oddly match the shower curtain) . . . are these from a hospital??? . . . the handle for the shower didn't fit the fixture (was it off of some other model tub???), was difficult to adjust and rattled, and the toilet kept running all night. The internet access was great and easy to use, the room was clean and comfortable (in spite of the weird blankets), but the other things (like we got maid service even though we specifically asked for the room not to be serviced) that just didn't rise to the quality that one expects from a 4-star hotel. And, believe me, they charge you like it's a 5-star. Rates should be commensurate with the quality and service of the property, and the Crowne Plaza just isn't hitting the quality mark that they should be.
