The room was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. The room temperature was glacial and could not be controlled at the thermostat. The bathroom was rather small and shabby, quite different from the room itself.

The hotel is nice and fancy and the room is nice and everything but for what I paid I was expecting a mini fridge and a microwave/ kitchenette or something. I had to pay an additional $20 for a fridge to be brought up to our room an hour later. I have stayed at "cheaper" hotels and had a lot more amenities included.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean, but we arrived late and although the bar downstairs was open, we were unable to get food anywhere in the hotel. The desk told me to order from room service, but there was not answer at the room service number. The machines on the floor either were not working for drinks or snacks and the water that the desk said they would give me free was not available when I went down to get it. The dining room was in shambles....no one was around in the dining room. Other then having three hungry children who I was unable to get food for, the hotel was good. The shuttle was on time and a comfortable ride.

We wanted something close to the airport for an early flight out. Airport shuttle leaves every 15 minutes. Parking was a little odd, and there is construction in the lobby, but otherwise, it was a good pick.

Worst hotel experience ever. AC unit sounded like a waterfall behind the wall. Room wasn't clean. Mold in the shower. Television was super dark with no way to adjust brightness. Room next to the ice machine, soda, and elevators.

I was greeted with a big smile from a young woman at check in. My room was nice. I especially liked the bed, lots of pillows and a very comfortable mattress.. I sleep like a baby.

Loud music from the lobby resonated through our bed on the third floor until after midnight! Next morning, we had requested maintenance to come to our room. No eta, and they took over an hour to come, barging inside. No hot water in the shower! That was the cherry on top of the Sheridan sundae.

Hotel staff was nice, except for one of the front desk staff. We had a dog staying with us for one night, and had placed her in her crate in the room, while we grabbed a bite to eat in the bar. We stopped at the front desk, to let then know we would be in the bar in the event the dog caused any disturbance. The employee we encountered that the front desk was very rude, she mumbled something about the pet policy and told us she would talk to security and then walked away.

bed was quite soft and the phone didn't work. when we told the front desk about it, we wre told someone would be right up to fix it. that was at 8:15 PM. when we checked out at 11:30 the next morning no one had been up. for all i know, it's still broken! also, there are a lot of reasons why people have to be gluten free. for a hotel of your size the selection of gf food available in your dining room is quite limited. i probably will not ever stay with you again.

"Bell Men Did Not Offer to Help with Luggage"

When we first arrived, service was excellent! The bell man was very helpful with our bags and check in was a breeze. However, when we left, it was a totally different story. I called guest service requesting a bell cart for our luggage. 30 minutes later, still no sign of the bell man. So I called a second time, and still no one came. After a few minutes, guest service called back saying they were backed up. I wish they would have told us that from the beginning instead of having us wait 40 minutes for help with our luggage. So my friend and I decided to take our luggage down on our own. When we passed the front desk, there were about 4-5 bell men there who saw us struggling with our luggage and didn't even bother to ask us if we needed assistance. We were livid!!

I booked the Sheraton Gateway for one night as I had a flight the next day. The room was outdated and worn. The drain didn't work in the shower at all. The lobby and pool area were nice. At check out they gave me a very small credit due to the drain issue.

The young lady at the front desk was really nice and polite. Our room was really nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows where great. The things that the hotel can improve is the bathroom. The door would not lock. The sink was leaking since we got there. And the tub seem dirty or just worn out and should maybe be replaced. Don't get me wrong the bathroom itself was clean. The tub just seem to have run its course and should get replaced soon, and the sink needed a little fixing but other than that no complaints.

This was a quick weekend getaway. The staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean. We didn't stay in the hotel much but it was an overall good hotel. Hotel does get busy due to it being close to LAX but that was not a problem for us and the valet service was a plus.

The food at the "social" hour was Horrible The French fries tasted like mashed potatoes, the meat was dry and the service was very slow. The TV in the room must have been 10 years old. I have stayed at this hotel several times and loved it always. However, during this past stay, the noise level was unbelievable and we barely got any sleep. It seems like several people on my floor were having parties in different rooms and it just seemed like they were partying in our rooms.

This should be a comp provided to hotel guest, but instead another way for making money!! Breakfast buffet was somewhat filling, nice selections. Nicer if chef was present to prepare eggs, omlettes, etc instead of powdered. Last but not least, friendly staff, easy and fast check-in and out!!

I stayed five days at the Sheraton Gateway because I was undergoing medical tests. The staff treated me and my service dog with great kindness and concern (but I also tipped very big.. When I needed to get my suite re-cleaned and it took an extra long time, they credited me with $25 toward dinner. Big negative was that there is no microwave or refrigerator in suite. I was charged $20 to have them bring me a fridge. No microwave was available in the hotel except a small dirty one in a dingy room hidden behind the elevator on the 9th floor. Watch out for "Going Green." It doesn't mean that you are willing to reuse towels and linens. It means no housekeeping service at all; no emptying trash, no refilling coffee/tea/condiments, no vacuuming. Nice piano music in Bar and good selection of food in restaurants although the service was very slow.

The hotel lobby is nice with several computers available for guests to use. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I did have a room facing century which I liked but the airplane noise is significant between 10pm-6am. The room was pretty nice, comfy beds, Starbucks coffee in room. Only negative I saw was the bathtub had stains. There is a great shuttle for a small fee that takes you to ocean and shops.

This is a nice hotel that is very close to LAX. The free shuttle that runs every 15 mins, gets you there in 10-15 mins. The lobby and restaurants are very nice, although the excellent hot breakfast is a little expensive. $22 for the buffet and other dishes are around $15-18. The room is quite big, with a good bed, 2 armchairs and a big desk. the bathroom is a little small and dated, but very clean. Outside is a big and very pleasant pool are with plenty of covered sitting areas. Overall, an excellent airport hotel, with truly excellent staff.

I was expecting a package upon arrival. I called ahead and no one would even look. When I got there no one could find it. Finally the concierge went to the mail room and find it at the last possible moment. Stress! Also, since a huge number of travelers are now over 40, you would think they would have a magnified mirror. No. How about a mirror with an outlet within reach of it in the main room. None. Fridge? No. Microwave? No. Unacceptable with todays travelers standards. Incredibly disappointed. Sheraton, really? Other than that, ok.

i lid a little extra to book the club room. I thought the room would be upgraded, a little nicer than a standard room. But it's just like a standard room but on the club floor with access to the lounge, no other benefits that I could see. The breakfast ended at 9 so I didn't even take advantage of it, and wish I had just saved the money and booked a normal room. Also I was really surprised that the hotel charged me $7 for each package I received.. Which was a problem because I had to receive a lot of packages at the hotel. I really was not impressed with this and felt like they really took advantage of my situation. So just be warned if you expect to receive any packages at the hotel. I have reviewed this hotel highly in the past, and all that still applies... Nice pool and gym, slightly more stylish than most hotels at the airport. But in the future I might reconsider staying here... At least I won't bother booming a club room again and also make sure never to have packages sent to me while here.

You can walk to the airport. The hotel itself is nice, and has nice bars and restaurants, but the rooms are small and could be better kept. The beds were OK.

Parking is disappointing. I realize space is extremely limited in cities the size of San Diego, but, I do believe that parking is just another money maker for this hotel. There is a parking facility several blocks away that is reasonable. The problem is checking in. there is not enough room to pull your car in, unload and then then move your car to the parking facility.
