As a Starwood Platinum member, they upgraded me to stay in their Luxury Collection Tower next door which was a great treat. Service was flawless. Their location is unbeatable because of their proximity to their underground highway which takes you from/to the airport in about 15 minutes.

I couldn't believe when I started listening to hammering and drilling around midnight. I called the front desk and they were "surprised" I could hear from the 4th floor the noise they were doing on the 6th floor. Don't have to be a scientist to realize that noise travels, specially at night. They reduced the noise for about two hours, but eventually it resumed. I still can't believe a Sheraton was doing repairs during night time! So unprofessional! It is not my problem if last-minute repairs have to be made, I had work to do next morning, that's why I paid an expensive hotel: to rest. I am very disappointed with Sheraton Santiago.

We stayed there because we were invited to a party given in the same hotel. The main areas of the hotel and our bedroom, were cold, the heating system didn't work properly. The access from the parking is poorly signed and the area of those elevators need some paintig, at least. The floor carpet in our room was dirty.

The hotel has excellent facilities for convention and business activities. But, the location is not the best in Santiago Business district. The restaurants are expensive and there is not a lot of choices at walking distance. The breakfast and the Wi Fi are not free, meanwhile a lot of very good hotels in Santiago include these service as free.

I had a good impression about Chile. The city was very clean every where I went. People very kind, I think tourist gets the best from the people; is a very warm welcome everywhere you go. I was lucky to have a great weather for the four days I spent in Santiago, couldn't ask for more.

The hotel is walking distance from a shopping strip and a significant new shopping centre under Santiago's tallest commercial tower. Many rooms and the bar on the 21st Floor have spectacular views of the City and the Andes. I relaxed, enjoyed the health club and had a great lunch in the Bar.

Good hotel that I have been going to sporadically for over twenty years now. It is showing its wear and needs to be renovated, especially the bathrooms where the tub as shower is inconvenient and in general the bathrooms are crowded. The staff is courteous but not always helpful. My biggest complaint though is the amount of smoking allowed and supported in the public spaces, especially around the swimming pool. I found that I had to relocate myself every time I was outside. The beds and linens are extremely comfortable and the best staff was the housekeeping staff.

"Aging but comfortable"
04/12/15 pyro_104 Brisbane, Australia
A missed connection in Santiago forced a stay at this hotel, graciously provided free of charge by the airline. It's location seemed an odd choice for a layover hotel, being perhaps a 20 minute taxi ride in light traffic from the airport, but it was no hassle at 2 am in the morning. Check-in was swift and trouble free - they are obviously used to waylaid travelers. Although the hallway to the room seemed very tired, the room itself was functional and comfortable. This hotel would have been top-class perhaps 15 years ago. Wifi was listed as being free in the lobby with a charge in the rooms which seemed a little antiquated, however it mattered little because I was battling to connect anywhere (important when you have just missed a connection and are trying to get a message out to someone picking you up). Eventually the helpful front desk diagnosed that they had spelled my name wrong during check-in, causing the wifi log-in data to be be different. Breakfast by the pool was quiet and luxurious with an excellent selection at the buffet. My only gripe was the first coffee served lukewarm gave little warning that the second coffee would be scalding hot - goodbye tastebuds! The pool area itself is beautiful and becomes quite busy later in the morning. The hotel is within a long walking distance to the CBD sights and attractions and the walk to and around town was a good way to spend a day exploring a new location on short notice. One thing I found odd about the room was the lack of information about surrounds and facilities - like what time the restaurants were open, what the deal was with the gym etc. A few brochures or an information pack would have been helpful. Dinner was a quick affair before rushing to the airport, with, again, a good selection available and attentive helpful staff. Two minor gripes were that it starts very late (I think it was 8 pm) and the hotel neglected to tell us waylaid travellers that we needed to get a voucher from the reception to partake. Checkout and the trip back to the airport were efficient and uneventful - again a sign that this hotel is quite used to travelers on unexpected layovers.

"Great staff bad room"
04/04/15 BloggerLinda Johns Creek, Georgia
We stayed here as an extention of our Holland America Cruise. The hotel has a great location. It's within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the all important Starbucks. The lobby is very modern and stark. We had the pool side buffet lunch, which is extensive but also expensive. For two, it came to $95US. It was very good though. We also had one of their flat bread pizzas for two and it was also very good. The staff is very accommodating. The bad part...the room. We had three lights out, one in the bathroom, one in the hall and one bedside lamp. The bath tub would not drain properly. It seems as if there had been some renovation done to the room such as new canned lighting but whoever did it was not a perfectionist. The lighting was ill fittings. We also had no tissues in the room. We were there for one night and I told the front desk about the lights the next morning. As to whether they were replaced, I don't know. We left for a tour and when we returned, were in a hurry to check out. If not for the room, I would have given a higher rating.

"Very helpful staff"
04/03/15 Denise O Torrance, California
When United couldn't get me to Santiago on time, the hotel was most helpful. The car service makes things much easier to get to our local office. And the breakfast buffet is convenient and efficient. The rooms look a bit dated.

"Good choice for pre- or post-cruise"
04/03/15 John_T_Florida St. Petersburg, Florida
We stayed at the Sheraton Santiago pre-cruise with Holland America. The Holland America airport pickup service was excellent and bus ride to the port of Valpariso was pleasant. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The hotel's public spaces, pool and open-air dining area are very nice. The rooms themselves are adequate, but as others have noted, a bit dated and ready for renovation. The Wi-Fi service in our room was fine and the room itself was clean, neat and well-stocked. The breakfast and lunch buffets at the poolside El Bohio were very nice, with an extremely large array of choices, including parrilla-grilled meats, salads, fruits, cheeses, etc.. The buffets were pricey, so go hungry! The hotel is in a very nice residential area, but local restaurants are a bit of a walk. We enjoyed a terrific meal in the hotel's main restaurant, El Cid, which I will review separately. This is a good choice for business travelers and pre- or post cruise vacationers who do not feel the need to be in the center of downtown or at a large resort hotel.

"2 night stay"
04/02/15 SFBeachgoer Ft Lauderdale
This hotel is horrible, there is a significant offering in Santiago of alternative quality hotels, do not stay here. The room was a mess, the rug stained, the bathroom fixtures rusted, the rooms look from the 80's... If you can believe it. The breakfast offering below par, coffee undrinkable. After complaining the morning after the first night, a significant effort to clean the room was made, however not good enough....

"Pleasant stay but no room WiFi"
03/25/15 Tantooine_tour_guide New Zealand
I ended up here on an unexpected layover and found the hotel comfortable and staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are dated but ok and the views to the swimming pool area are nice. The pool is a good size and there are plenty of loungers to relax in. Disappointingly there was no wifi available in the room and only a limited free 2hr public access in the lobby area.

"Great service, Hope the hotel rooms are renovated soon."
03/25/15 RyanL99 Houston
The location is fantastic and it is situated on a gorgeous reserve against the mountain. This is going to be an amazing property as soon as the renovations are made to the dated, tired rooms. The service at the front desk and the concierge desk is fantastic and the common areas including the pool are absolutely gorgeous. Service in the lobby bar is slow and they are understaffed. We tried to order lunch there but it took way too long. The gym has great equipment but it is tiny and there is no room in there to work out. They need more space for the gym equipment. With a few changes this would have been a perfect stay. Please let us know when the rooms are renovated and we will be back right away.

"Lovely hotel in good part of town"
03/25/15 New Orleans gal Metairie, LA
The hotel is large with a beautiful pool area and a lovely restaurant by the pool where they serve a large breakfast buffet. The food in the casual restaurant/bar area is also very good with large portions. It is however, fairly expensive. The rooms are very nice, but small. Beds are excellent with nice lines. The service in the hotel was excellent. They have their own car service (not free) that they will call for you to take you to any location and you can charge the cost to your room. The concierge desk was extremely helpful with making restaurant reservations.

"Needs refurbishment"
03/17/15 Jose V Aguas Calientes, Peru
The location is VERY good, still the hotel room decor is old. The restaurant and lobby bar have been remodelled so they are in great shape. Stayed at the VIP floor and had access to the view from the 21st floor bar and the view of the Andes is breathtaking. Weather permitting. It seems they plan to remodel it soon. The concierge service is good.
