We took the Amtrak from CHI to SF on a lark (and loved it) and only had about 24 hours in SF before flying home. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the room very nice. The only thing we did not like is no free WiFi in the rooms (free in lobby only) and no free business center except to print boarding passes. That and the overpriced breakfast but there is no shortage of restaurants nearby.

I couldn't sleep for most of the night because of (I'm guessing) an elevator noise constantly going off. The next morning, the hallway was so noisy with doors slamming and people talking. It's a great room if you don't plan on sleeping the entire night.

We were celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday and had 2 rooms reserved. The rooms were decorated in a fun colorful style that worked great for the theme of the weekend. The bath products in the bathroom were from Bliss, which are outstanding! The staff was very helpful & friendly. We loved the outdoor firepits that were under the canopy and was a fun place to relax even when it rained! Loved it and would love to go back sometime!

We were placed in a room that was right on the end of the hotel, near the street corner. It was extremely loud at night, there were several trucks that stopped by and were either picking up or dropping off items- it was really loud. The hotel is a great location, though- one block from Fisherman's Wharf. Just ask to not be placed near the street!

Very convenient for walking to restaurants, catching the cable car, view of the bay. Pretty small room but very clean. Took advice to park in the public parking lot just west of the hotel and paid $25 a day instead of $50 a day at the hotel. Close to Chinatown and really good Italian restaurants.

This hotel more than met our expectations. Not only was it in a convenient location (the only places we drove were to the zoo and the Golden Gate Bridge) but the service was excellent. I would agree with the other reviewers that the price for parking was a little steep but fortunately we were comped our parking on our stay - just one of the many reasons I was impressed with customer service. They really took care of you, the room was extremely clean and everyone in the hotel was smiling and ready to help - not something you find every where these days! Definately would recommend this hotel!

We checked in and had to by 45 dollars per day for parking. The Valet attendant was not present so we had to park our own car TWICE! You can't get out of the parking lot without a validation from the valet attendant. he was nowhere to be found. Needed to use the Business center for printing and faxing around midnight. The Fax machine was turned off. Went to find the front desk attendant or concierge... ah, NO ONE was working the desk. I yelled, I hollered for Any employee that worked in the building... no one answered. I could have walked out the door with the fax machine and no one would have noticed.

My friend had a problem with the safe in his room. It took the staff over 30 minutes to send a technician who told my friend that they have had problems with that safe in the past and he didn't know why it hadn't been replaced. We almost missed our flight!! Great location, clean room.

Also had to request towels and coffee several times because they weren't properly restocking items daily. The beds are very uncomfortable and are full size not queen. It 's definetly not a four star hotel, but I would give it a three star.

We were very happy with this hotel. Although we arrived before our 3 pm check-in time, the gentleman at the front desk told us that since our room was ready, we could go ahead and check in. That allowed us to head out and explore. The hotel is located within a couple of blocks of Fisherman's Wharf and the cable cars. This made it easy to explore as much as we wanted. The parking is very expensive, as it is at most hotels in this city, but at least the parking was directly under the hotel with easy elevator access if you needed something from your car. The room was bright and cheerful with very plush bedding and loads of pillows on each bed. The bathroom was pretty small, but we didn't spend much time there! All in all, this hotel is a great place to stay at a reasonable price. The staff were all quite nice to us, and the neighborhood felt quite safe to us - even when we returned on foot at 10 pm.

I spent three nights at the Sheraton Fisherman's Whar from Aug 19-22. The hotel is very nice. It's definitely a four star hotel but, there are some negatives to my stay as well as positives. I had a king size bed that was at the end of the hall of the hotel on the 2nd floor. The problem was that the room was right off a main street that was very noisey. There were buses passing by all day and night, at least every half hour. So, if you are a light sleeper, this would have drove you crazy. Also, the hotel room walls are very thin. The room next door to me had small children and they were constantly screaming, crying, playing, or singing loudly, which was very disturbing. Then, there was the parking fee of $43 per nite ......unbelievable!!! What was really nice was the free common area WiFi, the short distance from the wharf (2 blocks) and the outdoors fireplace. This was really relaxing.
